The Fifth book of Moses called Deuteronomy Chapter 18 "Laws
Ecclesiastical: The Levites [1-8]." This
Bible Study is written by Roger Christopherson, and it's
transcription/ location This chapter goes into Ecclesiastical law, which pertains to those things that belong to the priesthood. They deal with the methods of those things that were liturgical during the time that Moses was delivering this message. Remember that the Israelites had been in the wilderness for the past forty years, and now that time of wandering is over. It was time for the children of Israel, all the tribes to cross over the Jordan and take the promised land that God will give to them. Moses has gathered all the people together before their entering into the land, and he delivered this second message of instruction directly to the people, and thus it is given in a manner that all the people are to understand. There were three times that Moses gathered the people to give them instruction just prior to entering into the promise land, and this chapter is a continuation of the second message. In the seventeenth chapter Moses instructed the people in the matters concerning the appointing of judges, the civil laws and the matters dealing with civil law, governments and kings. Now we are going into the matters dealing with the Levitical priests, and Ecclesiastical law, or those things dealing with the church. We will take a deeper look into those things and what they have been replaced by, that would affect you and I today. We will look at the original type, and from that type we can see the Love that God has for the ones that He has chosen. Deuteronomy 18:1 "The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and His inheritance." Moses is telling the people that when you go across the Jordan and you set up your tribal camps, stake out the lines to draw out the lots for the people. At that time the Levites are to be left out of the assigning of the lots, and the receiving of land to make their living. It is from this laying out of the lines for marking the lots for ownership by each family that we get our city lots today. Each tribe was to have a certain amount of land given to them according to the population of the people, and that land was to be broken down into individual lots, and parceled out to each family. However, when the passing out of the lots came, none of these lots were to be given to any of the priests or their families, of the tribe of Levi. The reason for this was that they were not to tend to the land or the raising of the crops, but they were to tend to the duties of the priesthood. The tribe of Levi was scattered amongst all the tribes, to all parts of the land, and when the scattering of the northern "house of Israel" came, many centuries after Moses, these Levites were scattered right along with the rest of the tribes. The Levite priests and their families were to live on that tenth, or tithe, and the love offerings were brought to them as an offering to God. The tenth of the heard, the flocks and the wealth of the crops were for the well being of the priests and their families, as well as the care of the house of the Lord. "They shall eat of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and His inheritance [his future generations]." The things that are given to God in offerings belong to the priest to maintain his substance while tending to the duties of God's house, and the needs of God's house. Deuteronomy 18:2 "Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the Lord is their inheritance, as He hath said unto them." Deuteronomy 18:3 "And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw." The "maw" is the stomach of the animal. It is from this area that the fat flows. This part of the animal is the Lord's because it is not good for you to eat. God says that it belongs to Him. This is the way that God keeps His children from eating the fat. This is applied to the times when the animals were sacrificed to the Lord, and we do not sacrifice animals anymore. Christ came to be our sacrifice, and when He died on the cross and rose from the dead, He paid the price once and for all for the sins of those that would accept that sacrifice. We receive forgiveness by our faith through repentance in Jesus name. Jesus came to fulfill all of the requirements demanded under under the law. Hebrews 10:5 "Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, "Sacrifice and offering Thou wouldest not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me:" Hebrews 10:6 "In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast had no pleasure." Hebrews 10:7 "Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Thy will, O God." Jesus came to fulfill all the parts of the law that required blood sacrifices and offerings for sin. Hebrews 10:8 "Above when He said, "Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin Thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein;" which are offered by the law;" Hebrews 10:9 "Then said He, "Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God." He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second." God took away the "blood offerings and sacrifices", which is called the "first", when Jesus Christ the Son of God was put of the cross. This was the establishment of the "second". The Father took those blood sacrifices and thing that pertained to animal sacrifices away because the blood of Jesus Christ paid the price for one and all times. God did not take away the law, but the blood ordinances and sacrifices that were required under the law. No blood sacrifice of any animal can send the Holy Spirit, but the blood of Jesus Christ will bring the warmth of the Holy Spirit into your heart when by your faith you repent to the Father in Jesus name. Hebrews 10:10 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." This is the beauty in Christianity, that at repentance for our sins, those sins are taken away from our account at the throne of God. That is the place were it matters, and those sins are covered by the blood of Christ at repentance in Jesus name. So if the sins are taken away by the sacrifice of the blood of Christ, what then is it that we are to sacrifice? Our Heavenly Father wants your love. Deuteronomy 18:4 "The first fuit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him." In as much as your love becomes your love offering, it is shown through your tithe and substance that you bring to God to maintain the priesthood. The "firstfruit" is your special gift to God Himself. God wants your first fruits of love, the best that you have. The first and best of the tithe, as well as your time and devotion given to Him. He doesn't want the leftovers after all the bills have been paid, but the cream of the wage, from the first dollar. We are not sacrificing corn and goats any more, but the love from our mind, and the best of our time and of the blessings God gave us. When you give it over to God in love, you had better be genuine in your heart, soul, mind and spirit for the Father. You may put on a show for those around you, but God can see right into your mind. He knows your every thought. Deuteronomy 18:5 "For the Lord thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the Lord, him and his sons for ever." God chose these Levites to be His ministers, and God calls all those that He wants to be His ministers. If God did not call you to be a minister, than you are not a minister. God chose the Levites to be His ministers to do the duties that God expected of them before the people. He gave them His instructions under the law, and He expected them to carry it out as it was written. Just as the Levites were called by God in Moses day, and in the Old Testament, so also God calls His ministers today. Many that call themselves ministers today are not really ministers, but scripture lawyers. A scripture lawyer is one that has learned the law and the scriptures and they use that knowledge as a tool for their livelihood. They are what Paul calls "hirelings." They do what they do for money, and in the Old Testament that is exactly what Balaam was, a hireling. He fulfilled the duties of the priest for money. Balaam didn't wait on the Lord to lead, but he charged out to do other duties to gain more money. Balaam was so blind to the leading of God, that God had to use Balaam's donkey to talk to him. Then when the donkey spoke to him, he beat the animal. Balaam did not even have the sense to perceive that something was wrong when this animal was talking like a man. Balaam's mind was set on going to Moab and preaching to get the money and he would let nothing stop him. This event is recorded in Numbers 22:5-41. Christ is the head of the Church and He is the one that does the choosing. It is by His Spirit that the mantles are placed on the ones chosen to be His ministers. God places the mantles on the shoulders of His teachers, preachers and evangelists and gives them the understanding and gifts needed to fulfill those duties. God is the Father, and He knows how each soul performed in the first rebellion, and He knows how they will perform here in this flesh age. We are talking about God's chosen persons here, and not the hireling. When God gives you a gift to teach, preach or carry out some other duty in His service, respect that gift and develop it to your best, then use it to the glory of God. It is God that will allow that gift to be used to it's fullest, and not the individual. This leading is not from the man, but the leading and work is of the Holy Spirit. God gives all gifts and He gets all the honor, praise and glory that those gifts bring. Deuteronomy 18:6 "And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the Lord shall choose;" When a Levite comes into a new community, he enters into the gates of the place that God sent him to minister. This new priest should desires to be here and be ready to start in the duties that are before him. He is there to help the people, and the people are ready for him. Deuteronomy 18:7 "Then he shall minister in the name of the Lord his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the Lord." This priest shall minister exactly in the same manner as the other Levite priests do, as prescribed by God in the Word, or law. So now I ask you, what is it that a minister is suppose to minister, do and say? "He shall minister in the name of the Lord His God," and do the duties exactly as the other minister, or Levites do. They are instructed from God's Word as to what they are to do, and for the Levite's instructions are in the books of Moses. For the church today, our instructions is given in the Word also, by Jesus and his apostles. A true teacher never runs out of material, for he is aware of the entire plan of God. The words of those pages within the Word of God come alive as he is teaching. When that Word is taught as it should be, the listener can apply those Words to his or her life and it becomes a reality. Deuteronomy 18:8 "They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony." What this is saying is that when this new priest comes into a new community, he and his family are to be given the same rights and privileges as the old timer that has been there all his life preaching the Word. In other Words, the Levitical priests are to share equally amongst themselves, with the exception "of the sale of his patrimony". "Patrimony" is the home of the priest, and the Levitical priest was allowed to own his own home. If that Levitical priest or minister sells his own home, the proceeds are his, or if he dies, the proceeds go to his family. That Levitical priest does not have to share that income of the Patrimony with any of the other priests, or the community. This law still applies to this day. Deuteronomy 18:9 "When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations." If you want God's blessing for yourself, you cannot fool around with the things that God calls "abominations". It is just as true today as it was in Moses day. Deuteronomy 18:10 "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch," "To pass through the fire" is to practice Moloch or Malcham worship, which was the sacrificing of their children to fire. "Divination" is a dreamer or a soothsayer. The "observer of times" is a "false prophet that makes prophecies that don't come true", and the "enchanter" and "witch" deals in evil spirits, the mediums between the dead and the living. God is warning us not to have anything to do with any of those wicked practices or people. Each of these types of false religious practices of worship are demonic and their god is Satan. They are not of God. Deuteronomy 18:11 "Or a charmer, or a counsulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancher." "The counsulter with familiar spirits" is a person that communes with evil or familiar spirits. This type of "divination" is called "reincarnation" today, and it is getting quite common. It is when someone says that they lived in a time in the far past, say four hundred years ago, and they can recall even the most minute details of another person's life and the places they lived in that past time. It is not the mind of the consulter with these spirits, or the mind of the other person that causes them to recall those events and things, but the revelation that is revealed is given by an evil spirit, called a "familiar spirit". That "familiar spirit" possessed that person that lived way back then also. So this person serves as a communicator with Satan's spirit, and Satan communicates those fact to that consulter through these familiar spirits. The "wizard" is one that does magical acts that seem to be of a supernatural power, while the "necromancher" is the person that fools around with mediums, such as the person that reads leaves, palms, crystal balls and so on, to communicate with the dead through evil spirits. The necromancer and the consulter with familiar spirits are similar, only the necromancer uses items to make the connection. They are both just as evil in nature. Deuteronomy 18:12 "For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee." God is telling us that if we want His blessings we are to get those abominations out of our lives when they come before us. There is only one problem today, and that is that this wickedness has become so common that most of the people, even Christians don't give it a second thought when they see these evil things happening. Even though the rest of the world, and even Christians accept them as a novelty, we are to separate ourselves from them and their activity. Deuteronomy 18:13 "Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God." The word "perfect" as used here is a mistranslation, for it should read "sincere", or "mature" with the Lord thy God. To be mature in the Word is to study the Word to where you can correctly apply it to your life. Deuteromony 18:14 "For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do." The "observers of times", are those heathen that observe the fertility rites and other rites that are tied to the heavenly bodies, like the sun and moon. Those people met in their groves at the same time every year, to have their sexual orgies. The gave their rites to the goddess of heaven, Ishtar, and then they go their way until the next year. Today Christians have mixed these things in with Passover, and yet they still like to hang on to queen Ishtar or Easter, in their worship. This great sin of our forefather of the House of Israel caused their scattering in the first place. "Diviners" are false prophets, which say God told them something that is just not true. They make up stories that sound good and people believe them. Today the air waves are full of these false prophets, that say God revealed something to them. Then they rattle something that goes directly against what is written in God's Word. God is telling you to stay away from that kind of people if you want His blessing. Deuteronomy 18:15 "The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;" Do you know who that Prophet was? That Prophet was "likened unto you", born in the flesh and of the virgin Mary. That Prophet is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Moses is telling all of God's children to listen and obey Him just as you listen and obey the laws and commandments that God gave to him. Moses is giving our generation one of the greatest secrets on earth here, for when we listen to this Prophet, Jesus Christ and do what He says, blessings will be poured out on you and your family. Jesus loves you, and when you approach Him with your first fruits love offering, and ask Him for guidance and direction and be willing to work for Him, He will bless you in your life. God only gives people what they are fit to take care of and manage in their life through common sense. Your develop that common sense when you study His Word and follow His instructions. Do those things that please God, and when you please God He blesses you. However, you had better be sincere with God. Deuteronomy 18:16 "According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, 'Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.' " When God spoke to the children of Israel from mount Horeb or Sinai, it scared them. They did not want God to speak to them again because it was awesome. They wanted Moses to be their go between. However, God revealed to Moses that some day in the future, God would raise a Prophet up like Himself that would be as a human being. He would be born of a virgin, and live in a flesh body, and He would be humble so that you can talk to Him. This person as we know is Jesus Christ our Savior. "Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God", is what the Israelites cried out when they heard God's voice. Moses is reminding these people that it was their parents that spoke these words. It was well known to them that thousands within their camp did die when they acted against the Word's of the Lord. They drifted into idol worship even when Moses was up on the mountain getting the commandments. Deuteronomy 18:17 "And the Lord said unto me, 'They have well spoken that which they have spoken." Remember that while Moses is speaking these words, it was even in the past to them. Moses is reminding these children of Israel of what God said to him some forty years ago. They had wandered in the wilderness for forty years from this time, and now they were ready to cross over Jordan river, and take the promise land that God will give them. God told Moses that is better that I don't go back and talk to them, for God could have completely destroyed them for their wickedness. Deuteronomy 18:18 "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him." Here again Moses is reminding them of this promise that God gave him up there on mount Sinai. "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto the..." This Prophet will be a human being just like you are, and he shall come for our people. The Word's that The Father speaks are the Words that God will place there. When He speaks, it will be Me speaking to you. This is why Jesus Christ became the Living Word. John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:15 "John bare witness of Him, and cried, saying, "This was He of Whom I spake, He That cometh after me is preferred before me: for He was before me." John 1:16 "And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace." John 1:17 "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." John 1:18 "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, Which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him." Jesus Christ is the Word that was made flesh, for God placed the Word in His human mouth. Jesus was God in the flesh, and when mankind looked upon Jesus, they were looking upon God. When they heard Jesus speak, God was speaking through Him to them. Jesus Christ became this Prophet in the flesh, the seed of Israel and Judah, and He was one of their brethren. When Jesus spoke, His brethren came by the thousands to listen to them. Jesus cared for them, He fed them and healed many, yet when most looked upon Jesus, they only saw a man. This is as God said it would be to Moses up there on mount Sinai. When Christ spoke there was no lost motion to His Words. He spoke in parables, because what He had to say was directed to His own. To those that were not of His sheep, it was nothing more than a story, but to His chosen that loved Him, it was Words of direction and promise. Deuteronomy 18:19 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which He shall speak in My name, I will require it of him." In other words, if you won't accept Him and listen to Him and believe what He tells you, than I will speak to you. God's time of speaking is on Judgment day, when all our action and words will be accounted for individually. On that day you will receive exactly what is coming to you. If you love the Father and have come to Him through the Way He provided for you, than rewards and eternal life is what you will receive. If you have turned away from God and refuse to come to the Father by faith and repentance in Jesus name, that death is your reward. Remember it is Jesus that is speaking in the Father's name. Jesus is speaking and John the apostle is writing these words in the book of Revelation. Revelation 20:11 "And I saw a great white throne, and Him That sat on it, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them." With the God-head present here on earth, and the judgment of God on all lost souls, there will be no place for Satan and his hoards of followers to hide. Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." There are two sets of books spoken of here, the first is called "The Books" from which the lost and unsaved are judged from. The second book is the "Book of Life" and the only thing that is recorded here is your name. Our sins are not in the Book of life because the blood of Christ has erased those things from before the judgment seat of God. Notice how the souls are judged; "according to their works". Does it talk about faith here? No, The "great white throne judgment" will not take faith into consideration. The first resurrection takes faith into consideration. That was back on "the day of the Lord", at the seventh trumpet when all souls living in their flesh bodies were changed to their spiritual bodies for the Millennium age of Christ's kingdom here on earth. This judgment seat of the great white throne is after the thousand year Millennium age when Jesus Christ will be here on earth. There will be no need for faith, for there will be nothing unseen and hoped for. It will all be a reality in all souls' minds. This is why the lost will be judged on their works only. Today Jesus is not here on earth, but we have His Words and those of the apostles and prophets in our bibles. We know that those Words are true, and we believe in His promises sight unseen because of our faith. God gives us grace or unmerited favor for the mere fact that we take what He said as being true, and live our entire life based on His Words. All souls that are alive on earth when the Millennium age comes will not exist in their flesh bodies, for this earth age of the flesh will be gone forever. However, all souls will be in a spiritual or soul body like the angels have, and God will place all truth in all minds. Then for the next thousand years, it is not a matter of faith and grace or acting on something unseen; but a matter of discipline in the life for something that you know to be true, and what you do about the knowledge you have. There will be no ignorance nor handicapped in the Millennium age, for all souls will see, know and experience our Lord Jesus Christ first hand. Revelation 20:13 "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." The sea is the massive numbers of mortal souls that followed Satan when he came in his role as the Antichrist. Death and hell are the souls of them that did not overcome, and are in a place of holding from the time of their physical death The souls of all the spiritually dead will all be judged "according to their works." Don't be frightened by this, for we are now under grace, and the Antichrist has not yet arrived. You are going to face the truth now, or be judged by your works later. Eternity is a long time, so much so our minds simply cannot comprehend it. Revelation 20:14 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Following the great white throne judgment, those souls that did not accept the Prophet that Moses was promise, and John told us about in John 1:14-18 will enter into "the lake of fire." This is the second death. The first death is the death of your flesh body, which ages and gets old. At the seventh trumpet the flesh body is changed into the soul body. All things and evil rudiments of the flesh will be gone for good. All souls will have a first death pr be changed at the seventh trumpet, but is the second death that determines whether you will exist throughout the eternity, or be erased for all times, even from the minds of your loved ones. The flesh bodies will be turned back to the dust and elements that it is composed of, while the soul will be turned to ashes forever. the soul that rejects God will cease to exist. Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." So the key to eternal life is whether or not your name is found written in the book of life, the Lamb's book of Life. Jesus Christ is the "Lamb" that taketh away the sins of the world, of those men and women, boys and girls that would accept Jesus Christ into their life. We accept Jesus by faith, by believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He is the Word spoken of by both Moses and John. We must believe that Jesus Christ was born in the flesh and lived the perfect life. And that He suffered the death on the cross of our sins, and rose from the dead. If you did not believe that Jesus rose from the dead, why would by believe that a dead man would save you? You must believe that Jesus rose from the dead and that He now is in Heaven to be our intercessor before the throne of God. This is the reason that we must repent in Jesus name, for there is no other name that we can be saved. We pray to the Father in "Jesus name", because His name is our credentials before the throne of God. God loves all of His children, and He will intercede in your life when you ask Him to do so. God will not force Himself on anyone, for it is up to you to do the choosing, and asking for help. "I will require it of him", means that God will chastise His people at any time that it is needed. God will never chastise you unless you do need it. Deuteronomy 18:20 "But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.' " God does not like false prophets to speak on His behalf when they are not called of God. The false prophet presumes a role that he was not given by God. The false prophet says that God's Word says things that it did not say, and does not back up those things with a second witness within God's Word. It is common today to have them read a verse and get off on a unrelated tangent, and use all sorts of references that go against God's Word. They use the traditions of men and false doctrines as their sources. There is a word of caution here to the preachers that try to out-do each other in their spirituality and sermons. Those that like to say that they talked to God this morning, and what they say was nothing but idle talk; they are walking on dangerous ground when they use such nonsense. God's Spirit deals with us everyday, and God expects us to use common sense in those things that we are doing, but watch out what you attribute to God personally things that are not in His Word. God gives gifts and His Spirit stands close by to help in the carrying out of those gifts, but watch out for the personal gain you try to take for yourself, when you are applying the gifts that God has given to you. Stop playing church, for the penalty of claiming God's Word's when God did not speak to them is death, spiritual death. Though it is done in innocence to mimic another preacher, the only one deceived is you, the one doing it. Deuteronomy 18:21 "And if thou say in thine heart, 'How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?' " This is a very good question. How do I know for sure that this man is speaking the truths from God's Word? It is a very simple thing, and you don't need to be disturbed about it. You never follow any man, no man. You listen to the Word of God that is spoken, and you make sure that it is according to the Word of God. Get a good concordance with numbered Hebrew and Greek dictionary, and check out what the preacher or teacher is teaching. If it checks out with the Word, than follow it, and if it doesn't check out, it is not of God. Always take the Word of God over what any man says, and if it is deeper than what you can understand and on another level of understanding, than put it aside for the time being. When you are able to understand that truth, the Holy Spirit will open your mind to it. If you are on the level of a new born babe in Christ, then much of the deeper meanings and meat of the Word will seem strange to you. So how do you prove whether the man is telling you the truth, check him out. You have the Word in your hand. Even check your self out for what you believe to make sure it is back up by the Word of God. If a tradition or a way that is set forth by any mainline church system and it is not written or backed up in God's Word, then it is of man and it is not to be followed. It is not of God. Most of the Christians of today are biblically illiterate, and people will capture souls to put them in bondage and no one says anything about it. Don't let it happen to you. No man's gift belongs to himself, but to the Father that gave it. When a man takes credit for a gift of God such as teaching or the ability to do something exceptionally well, he is in trouble with God. The point here is that we are to always follow God through His Word. Deuteronomy 18:22 "When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: Thou shalt not be afraid of him." You know a prophet is from God if what he says comes true. If He speaks and he has to continue to change his prophecy because the events are not coming to pass, than that man is a false prophet. When that false prophet is wrong, mark him well for all of his prophecies will by guess or chance, and that man is not of God. God is telling us to pay attention to what these men say and check them out, for when you know he is in error, know that he speaks presumptuously, and speaking out of the pride of his own heart. His thoughts are not to draw you to God, and warn you of the things to come, but to draw attention to themselves. Take what those false prophets say in the same light as you would as something that you know for a fact to be a lie. Don't be afraid of that man or woman, or the lies that they tell. What is important to each of us, is that we know what the Heavenly Father expects of us, and that we discipline ourselves to follow those ways. You have the same right to understand the Word of God as any other man, and God will lead you into the Truth through His Holy Spirit.
