Deuteronomy Chapter 31 "Possession West of Jordan [1-8]." This
Bible Study is written by Roger Christopherson, and it's
transcription/ location Chapter thirty one introduces us to the song of Moses, the song that the people will sing that were the overcomers in this earth age; it will be sung in the Millennium age. It also is the song that lets us know how to identify our true Rock from the fake rock. Revelation 15:3 documents this fact. Revelation 15:2 "And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God." The glassy sea we are looking at here are those who had the victory over Satan the Antichrist and his system. The elect of God resisted Satan in every way. The sea of glass are all the people of all races who remained true to Jesus Christ. [They are God's election] Revelation 15:3 "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvellous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints." We are in heaven here, and heaven is where ever Christ is. This is the time of the Millennium age, and Jesus Christ is right here on earth. The greatest clue to understand what is in God's overall plan is right here in this song. They had all overcome, and they all were in one place when they all sang this same song. This song, the "Song of Moses" is the victory song that lived in the time of the Great Tribulations and were not deceived by Satan. given in the next chapter, Deuteronomy 32:1-43. This victory song then tells us how we gain the victory over Satan and his system, so it is important for us to know what is in the song. We will study this in detail in the next chapter. This chapter starts Moses' seventh address to the people, and it will be his last time of speaking directly to the people. Within a few days of this writing Moses will depart from the camp and be take by the Father, for the Father would allow no man to bury Moses. For God Himself saw to that duty of tending to Moses. Deuteronomy 31:1 "And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel." Deuteronomy 31:2 "And he said unto them, "I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the Lord hath said unto me, `Thou shalt not go over Jordan.' " One hundred and twenty years is three sets of forty years, and "forty" represents three sets of "probation" periods. In each of these three sets of forty years, a great change took place in Moses' life. In the first set of forty years, Moses was raised as royalty, in the house of Pharaoh by Pharaoh's daughter, and Pharaoh treated Him as a son. In time Moses found out that He was an Hebrew of the offspring of Jacob, and he saw the treatment that Pharaoh was giving his people. This cause the second set of forty years, when he would be thrown out of Pharaoh's house, and out of Egypt. The second set of forty years, Moses was in the land of the Kenites preparing to return to Egypt to give God's command to Pharaoh. Moses had taken a wife while in the land of the Kenites, who was the daughter of the Midianite priest. Moses' wife was not a Kenite as many are teaching for the Midianites were of Abraham, and not of Cain's lineage. So the second forty years of Moses' life was spent in the land of the Kenites while he was married to a Midianite woman, the daughter of her father "Raguel". "Jethro" was a title of Raquel's position while in the land of the Kenites. Hobab was the brother in law to Moses, and the son of Raquel. Numbers 10:29 "And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, "We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the Lord hath spoken good concerning Israel." This third set of forty years was from the time of the release of the children of Israel, until this day when Moses is delivering this final message to the elder of the people of Israel. The children of Isreal had been free for forty years, and wondering in the wilderness. Here in the final day of Moses' life, God has told him that he is not going to be able to cross over the Jordan with them." Deuteronomy 31:3 "The Lord thy God, He will go over before thee, and He will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the Lord hath said." There is much more said here in the Hebrew than what is presented in the English. The word "Joshua" means "Jesus" as translated into the Greek and then into the English. Lets go to # 3091 in Strong's Hebrew dictionary for the Hebrew meaning. "Yehowshuwa', yeh-ho-shoo'-ah; from 3068, and 3467; Jehovah-saved; comp. 1954, 3442." In # 3442 we read; "Yeshuwa; yay-shoo'-ah'; He will save." #1954 of Strongs Hebrew dictionary we read; "the Deliverer". Now lets go to the Greek for the name "Jesus", it is # 2424; "Iesous, ee-ay-sooce'; from [3091 in the Hebrew]; Jesus (i.e. Jehoshua) the name of our Lord." Moses will be dropping completely out of the picture, and the Lord Himself will lead them. Though the man "Joshua" will be the man in the flesh that will lead the Israelites in their battle, God himself will also go before them and prepare the way for the battles that will take place. Joshua the man carries the name "Savior" in the Hebrew, "Yeshuwa", will lead him, and this is a type to show us that God Himself put this all as part of His plan. Deuteronomy 31:4 "And the Lord shall do unto them as He did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom He destroyed." God is promising the victory through Moses, just as He gave them the victory against the Amorites. When the children of Israel faced the kings of Sihon and Og of the Amorites, and their people, there was no person left alive, not even their cattle. All life was taken from those people and the land was given over for distribution to three of the tribes of Israel. The reason for the complete destruction of these people is that they were a mixture with the blood lines of the giants that were in the land, that came from the second influx of the fallen angels, and their religious heathen forms were from Satan. God demanded that all their idols be destroyed before they moved into the land to possess it. Even to this day, as long as we are in Christ, and follow His ways and commandments, we will always have the victory. It is no accident that our nation is the strongest in the world, with massive amounts fo wealth and blessings. Our forefather honored God, and our laws and constitution is based on the laws of God. We are still "one nation under God", and we put our trust in God, just as the Israelites did some thirty five hundred years ago. We are part of the "house of Israel" and that house or nation has nothing to do with the "house of Judah". The "Jews" or "house of Judah" is a separate entity, and God chose to deal with each of the houses or nations separately. In the migrations of the house of Israel, those ten tribes came to posses lands far away from Palestine, the present location of that tiny nation of the Jewish state called "Israel" today. Most of those ten tribes settled Europe, and many later moved to settle into the Americas. Deuteronomy 31:5 "And the Lord shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you." God is making a promise to Israel that He will conquer their enemies, He will go before them and give them all the victories. When the Israelites entered the land, and did battle with those heathen peoples, they were to completely destroy them to the last child. That was the commandment of God that was given them back in Deuteronomy 20:16-20. Don't be confused between the commandments of verses eleven through fifteen for the prior commandments were given for a time much later, when the Israelites had departed from Palestine and migrated to lands beyond the Caucasus mountains. Those peoples listed in verse seventeen are the nations that have mixed their blood lines with the second influx of fallen angels, and thus God wanted them and their forms of idolatry completely destroyed to the last child. Deuteronomy 20:16 "But the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:" Deuteronomy 20:17 "But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:" Deuteronomy 20:18 "That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God." These are the people that married in with the giants. God is with us and He gives us the victory. These are the same peoples that were in the land forty years prior when their fathers refused to obey God and go in to take the land. God does not what any of them nor their ways to influence His people. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." You can count on this verse even to our generation and through the time of Satan's great deception. God will never leave thee or forsake you when you love Him and strive to do His will. We all have troubles from time to time, but those conflicts come to sharpen you up for the bigger battle that come in the future. Every testing is given to strengthen your spiritual character and endurance, and it is given to you for you to see how you would react under certain conditions. God gives us tests both physically as well as spiritually and He expects us to use our common sense in responding to them. Deuteronomy 31:7 "And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, 'Be strong and of good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it." Moses called Joshua to be the one that will lead the Israelites over the Jordan and into the battles on the other side. There was nothing hidden to the people but everything that Moses told Joshua was there for all the people to hear. God has always chosen His leaders to lead during those times when His people were to go against His enemies. It is real sad that many of the leaders of this final generation of today show by their actions and words that they are unfit to lead, and that they are an abomination unto the Lord. Deuteronomy 31:8 "And the Lord, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.' " God is telling the Israelites to follow their leaders, it doesn't matter what his training was, for it is God that will crush the enemy. God will be out in front of the scouts and the leaders, out there in the enemy's camps to confuse the enemy and cause their actions against God's people to fail. God promised in Deuteronomy chapter twenty that He would give them the victory as long as they kept their camps clean, and kept the Sodomites and whores out of their camp. An army can destroy itself when it allows its camps to have filthy and diseases set in. God ordered those that were not fit for combat to stay away from the troops that are being trained for battle. When they do this God made a promise to them. Deuteronomy 20:3 "And shall say unto them, 'Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;" Deuteronomy 20:4 "For the Lord your God is He that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.' " God is saying, get the cowards, the Sodomites and whores out of the camp, and focus on the enemy. When your mind is set on the battle, there isn't time to be scared and light hearted in your mind. When you have the faith in your victory, God is going to give it to you. Remember you are following God into the enemies camp and you will destroy them. That is God's promise to His people. Though this is given in military terms, it is also a type for the spiritual battle that is facing us in these latter days. There is a spiritual battle that we are in today, and many of the forces that are going to be against us haven't arrived on earth yet. Satan is coming with his army of fallen angels, and it will be a battle that the only armor that you can use is the armor of God. That armor is the whole Word of God, for the only defense that you can have in that day is the knowledge and wisdom from all of God's Word. God's Word prepares you to stand against the firey darts of the devil's tricks, and his supernatural wonders. The battle that is going on right now in heaven between Satan and his angels, and Michael and God's angels will be over shortly, and Satan will be cast out onto the earth. Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels." Though this verse speaks as if the battle has already been fought, remember that at the point in time of this writing, Jesus is revealing to John what had happened, and John's vision is from the "day of the Lord". That day is on the first day of the Millennium age, after the seventh trumpet has sounded when this earth age of the flesh is over and done with. What is spoken of here as having already taken place is yet future to us living today in this time of grace. Satan is doing battle with Michael in heaven right now, and when the battle is over, we will see Satan coming to earth with his army of fallen angels, and the time of the great tribulation will be on. The destruction that Satan will bring will be spiritual death, for that battle field will be in your mind. The war is a war of deception, and the ammunition is the words that come right out of the bible. Satan will twist them just like He tried to deceive Christ in His time of temptation; only will you know when Satan is telling the truth or not? Revelation 12:8 "And prevailed not, neither was there place found any more in heaven." The reason Satan will not be found in heaven is that he will be right here on earth. This is what many call the great tribulation, or deception. Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world." Satan will come with many miracles and supernatural acts and wonders. He will come to win you over to him, in making you think that he is actually Jesus Christ. He will say the things you want to hear, and give you the prosperity that you expect to have when Jesus comes to set up His kingdom. The problem is that you will still be in the flesh, and evil will still be on the earth. John is giving us the roles that Satan has played in the past, the old serpent, the Devil, and there are many other names given old Lucifer, and each of those roles tells us of another method that he will use to deceive God's people. The serpent was the role that Satan used to deceive Eve, and from that deception came Cain, the son of Satan through that sexual union. The offspring of Cain are the Kenites, and Satan's kids [the Kenites] are one of the ways that Satan is using today to bring deception into the house of God. Christians today have listen to the fairy-tales of apples in the Garden of Eden, and it has left them completely helpless against the methods of the Kenites. The Spiritual battle of the end times has already started, yet most Christians are completely unprepared for the battle at hand for they don't even know who the enemy is. We are in a spiritual conflict today, and we are going to win it. We [God's elect] have God on our side and there is no One greater than He. When you "take on the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit", you are taking the entire Word of God, cover to cover into your mind, and following after the leading of the Holy Spirit. God has already written that anything that opposes us will be eliminated to the abyss after that five month period of testing. Deuteronomy 31:9 "And Moses wrote the law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and unto all the elders of Israel." Moses wrote down these Words of instructions that he is giving to the people, and he placed those instructions in the hands of the Levite priests, to place it into the ark of the covenant. It is this book of Deuteronomy that has been written down, and it is to remind us of those promises and instructions that God expects us to follow. That written word shows us the love of our Father for us, and it also shows us the actions of God against our enemies. Deuteronomy 31:10 "And Moses commanded them, saying, "At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles," Deuteronomy 31:11 "When all Israel is come to appear before the Lord thy God in the place which He shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing." Seven is the number for spiritual completeness, and God ordered that in every generation all the way down to ours would hear the complete Word of this book of law at least once ever seven years. . God gave it for instruction to us, and He expects us to keep it fresh in our minds. That law reminds each generation of the freedom that God gave them from the Egyptians. They were once slaves, and the Egyptians dealt harshly with our people, and we are to remember those days when we deal when those under us. Though this is used for debts, it is also used for dealing with slavery, and the giving of freedom to any Israelite that might be bonded. Seven years was the maximum that any Israelite could be in bondage, and then they have to be released to have their freedom. Deuteronomy 31:12 "Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:" This is the purpose for the reading of the entire law at least once ever seven years. It is so that everyone within the community will learn to give reverence to God and His Word. The Word "Lord' as it is used here, in the Hebrew is God holy name, "YHVH", our Heavenly Father. Deuteronomy 31:13 "And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it." God knew, as did Moses that when they go over Jordan, in time they will continue out of the land and migrate to many other lands before they finally settle in the land that God will give them to be blessed in. Israel is scattered all over the world, and God is with all them that chose Him. Deuteronomy 31:14 "And the Lord said unto Moses, "Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge." Moses was notified by God that this seventh address is his final. Joshua didn't just take up his charge on his own, but God called Him and in the presence of Moses and the entire congregation, Joshua is given the call directly from the Father. God's Word and letter to you and I today is God's charge to us to follow His great commission. That commission is to follow the blessings of God, and enjoy those blessings which gives our Heavenly Father much pleasure. Deuteronomy 31:15 "And the Lord appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle." Deuteronomy 31:16 "And the Lord said unto Moses, "Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of strangers of the land, whether they go to be among them, and will forsake Me, and break My covenant which I have made with them." Our heavenly Father had promised that where ever you go, as long as you choose to follow my ways and commandments I will bless you. You are going to have those blessings where ever your go. I will fight your battles, and I will heal you and take care of you, and all you have to do is to follow my ways. How could anyone not follow God's ways and choose His blessings? Yet the Lord knew that this is exactly what they would not do. The book of Judges showed over and over where they fell into all sorts of idolatry. After Solomon died, the nation split into two nations or houses and both of those nations fell so deep into sin that God scattered scattered the house of Israel, and brought the house of Judah into captivity in Babylon. Even today look around our nation and the other Christian nations and see the idolatry and sins that are running wild in the streets of these nations. Heathen traditions have drifted into our churches to the point that most Christians, and even pastors don't know what is of God through His Word, and what are traditions from man's efforts to replace God's Word. Even the most precious Christian day, the Passover, which is the death and resurrection of Christ, is replaced by the heathen holiday, "Easter". Easter comes from the feast days of the goddess Ishtar, the time of the heathen religious practices of sex orgies called "grove worship". Heathenism has worked it's way into the churches, and most churches don't know the difference between what is of God, and what is of Satan. The only place where "Easter" is mentioned in the bible is where a scribe mistranslated the word "Passover" from the Greek. Acts 12:4 "And when he {Herod] had apprehended him [Paul], he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people." "Easter" as used here in the Greek manuscript text is # 3957 in Strong's Greek dictionary. "Pascha, pas'-khah; of the Chaldee or. [comp. 6453] The Passover, (the meal, the day, the festival, or the special sacrifice connected with it): Passover." Christ became our Passover, not the sex goddess Ishtar, yet because of the carelessness of one monk translator, the entire church world thinks that they can inject all the heathen customs of Baal sex orgies into the most precious day of the year, the Passover when Christ went to the cross and became our "Passover". Do you want to know what God thinks of these practices? Deuteronomy 31:17 "Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, 'Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?' " There are many today that say, I don't think that God hears my prayers, and they are right. God has just told you that when you handle His Word so carelessly, and turn to heathen idolatry, God has told you "I will hide My face from you." If things look like they are going real bad, and you call yourself a Christian, stop and ask yourself why? If you are praying for things and trouble comes, pay attention to what God is trying to tell you. God corrects those that He loves, but those that willfully turn them back on Him, God is going to separate Himself from you. These are dangerous times to have God turn against you. If something is not right in your life, then question yourself, examine yourself and not somebody else. They didn't bring ills down on you, you caused it yourself when you allow God to hide his face from you, and bring those evils down upon yourself. You have chosen the life of curse because you refuse to study the world of God, and allow God to bless you. You can either stay in that cursed position, or get out of it and return to the Father, the choice is yours. Deuteronomy 31:18 "And I will surely hide My face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods." Many say that there is no way that they would worship another god or an idol. Then they put everything in their world ahead of their study time in God's Word. Their homes, their fishing boats, and even the golf games have become their gods, for those things are more important than God's Word to them. God shows His face to you through His Word, and that Word bring God's blessings to you. It is just like the plagues of the end times, for when you do those things that bring on the plagues, than you will bring them on to yourselves. God Word has instructed us what brings on the curses and the plagues, and when we don't pay attention to God's warnings, than we get the trouble that those things bring. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that when you hold your hand over a fire, you get burned. Even a small child learns that the first time. When you fool around with the things that are unnatural, like Sodomy and playing the role of a harlot, diseases follow, and then comes death. Those evils written in God's Word are there for every one to read and be aware of, but when you let your little gods prevent you from learning the truth and gaining the wisdom, you get the plagues and curses, not your neighbor. Each person gets what he or she has chosen for him or herself. You know the chances, and you pay the penalty for your choices, and you make the choices for your blessings and your cursings. Deuteronomy 31:19 "Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel." This song that God is telling us to learn through the pen of Moses, is the song that is not just for this earth age. This song is a good one to memorize for it not only speaks of our victory in Christ, but it warns us as to the difference between our God, or Rock and that of the world, and Kenites. It is not necessary to memorize it as long as you know what it is saying. The command from God though is to put this song into the minds and mouths of all tribes for it will be the witness against them when you turn your back on God, and run to the false Christ in the latter days. Deuteronomy 31:20 "For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke Me, and break My covenant." This is exactly what is happening today in our growing economy when things are going well, and wealth is in great abundance. Men and women are turning to their own will and craftiness for the will being, instead of turning to God. In our nation we have only one vote, but in our family, and in your own mind you are the majority. You select the ways that you go, and what is important and not to you. You determine how your time and money are spent, and whether or not you will break God covenant with you. God gave it there in writing, and all you have to do is to read it, and follow what God has said to do, and He will bless you for it. You make the choices as to your receiving of blessings or cursings, and it is not your parents, your teacher, preacher or neighbor. Grab your boot straps and pull your own self up, for nobody is going to do your studying for you, nor make your choice between blessing and cursings. Even though Christians lean on one another, but no one else can place in your memory the things, laws and commandments of God's Word that He has warned you to follow. God gave us a promise back in Deuteronomy 30:8, 9. Deuteronomy 30:8 "And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all His commandments which I command thee this day." Deuteronomy 30:9 "And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as He rejoiced over thy father: When you return and obey and do all His commandments, then the blessings come to every work that you do. It is a promise that God wrote down so that you can know exactly what to expect. Somebody that can't and won't help themselves are worthless to you, so don't pay any attention to them. You are the one that chooses God's blessings. The point here is to stand up for yourself, and make a difference around you. Claim those promises that God has given you in His Word, and start living like a child of the Living God. Deuteronomy 31:21 "And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I have sware." This "song of Moses" is what we are to use as a witness to whether we are doing right or wrong. This song is a bench mark in God's Word that we must be familiar with, for it test you to see if your are on the right path or the wrong path. This song testifies as a witness either for or against you as to whether you love God or not. The land that this is talking about is not in the middle east, but it is where ever the tribes of the House of Israel have settled. There is the place that God will bless you, and His Word is to be taught and followed. This is not talking about the house of Judah, for they were separated. Judah was given the right to rule, but the blessings were passed on to Joseph's two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. Those two tribes settled in the British isles, and America. It doesn't take much wisdom to see that God has bless these two nations very well. We know where Judah is, for she has mixed with a band of Kenites, and many of them have moved back into the Middle east and claim that tiny nation that the United Nation had established for them, and named Israel. That "house of Judah" is filled with all sorts of troubles, and it has become nothing but a walled fortress of tension and mistrust. Though the entire world knows where the house of Judah is, there are very few that know where the "house of Israel" is, even when they are in it and part of it. Deuteronomy 31:22 "Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel." It is important to learn this song of Moses. Deuteronomy 31:23 "And He gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, "Be strong and of good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee." It was not the man that was leading the people into the promise land, but God Himself went before them and gave them the land. Where ever God's people went, down through the centuries, God has gone before our forefathers and given us the victory. That even goes for the status of superpower in these end times. We never became the superpower we are by accident, for we have claimed the name of the Lord, and stated in our laws, our constitution and even on our money that "in God we trust". We are a nations of Christians, and even though many are being misled today, they still have the name of Jesus Christ on their lips. When you sware an oath in our land, the Holy Bible and God is who you sware by: "So help me God". We have the victory and the promises of God. Deuteronomy 31:24 "And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished," Deuteronomy 31:25 "That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying," Deuteronomy 31:26 " "Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee." "Against thee", as used in the Hebrew text means "to prepare you, to set your ways". Moses ordered the Levitical priests to put these writings in the ark, and in the minds of the people and let these law and commandments be a guide to your lives. This book of the song of Moses was placed inside the ark of the covenant along with the manna, the tablets containing the ten commandment, and the budding rod. So where is this ark today? We know that the ark was handled very carelessly in the battle against the Philistines, however after that time very little is written of it, except in Revelation 11:19 where John wrote that he saw it on the day of the Lord. Revelation 11:19 "And the Temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His Temple the ark of His Testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hailstones." This is on the final day of this earth age of the flesh, which is the first day of the Millennium age, which is called the "day of the Lord. The ark was returned to the Father at some point in time. We have a copy of that song, and it is written in the next chapter. Deuteronomy 31:27 "For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the Lord; and how much more after my death?" This is Moses speaking here and he has watch these Israelites for many years. He can can almost read their minds. He is saying, I know what you kids are like, you can't fool Me. Your a rebellious and stiff necked people, and I know what you will be like after my death and I am gone from you. Moses went up on Mount Sinai for just forty days, and when he returned the entire population had gone and melted down their wealth and made it into a golden calf. Even Aaron and the priesthood had sunk to such depths of idolatry. Yes, Moses knew exactly what these people were like. God's people were having their sex orgies going on right there at the foot of God's mountain. Deuteronomy 31:28 "Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them." "Against" as used here is # 5973 in the Hebrew Dictionary. It means to "confirm equally with, to go along with something else that is stated or done". Moses gathered all the elders of the tribes, and all of them together heard what Moses had to say equally, the same words and commission was given to all the tribes. Not just Judah or Benjamin, or any other of the tribes. Where ever the tribes of Israel went they were to remember this song of Moses. Moses wanted you, living in these latter days to learn and remember this song. Deuteronomy 31:29 "For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall your in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands." The "latter days" are the days that we are living in today. Moses knew exactly what our generation would be like. Our people have taken their little hands and built their churches all over our country, and in them we still carry on those corrupt practices of Ishtar in our midst. Though Christians today claim that what they are doing is of God, they bring heathen worship of Easter right into their worship. Their men go to their early morning sunrise services, just as Baal worshippers did when they would rise early on Easter, and go out to bow to the sun, the form of their god. They roll the Easter eggs, the sing of Ishtar, the goddess of fertility, and they have their bunny rabbits, and put their bonnets on, the symbols of the sex orgies in the groves of trees. Yes our churches today think they are pleasing to God, and they mix the vomit of heathen abominations, with the precious Passover day of our Lord's death and resurrection, and think it will please God. If you ever wondered why God gets provoked to anger, just look around you and see the foolishness that is going on in the name of God. Passover is the most sacred day of Christianity, and most Christians have no idea in the world what it even is or where it came from. That is the time when all of us sinners have the right to have the freedom from sin in Christ. We have the death sentence of God removed from our heads, and those sins marked "paid in full". And what do these so-called teachers and preachers do with it? They make up fairy tales, and cover over God's doctrines with their nonsense. The fertility rites of those sexual orgies are not written in the Word of God, or most preachers of today would have their congregation deep in their practices. Instead God used the simple expression "grove worship" and left it there. Those things are picked up along the way, and lead by Satan's evil spirits to be practiced by God's own children as an insult to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Christians today in their ignorance teach these abomination to their children as being of God, and their children grow up believing in those things of the devil. To them it is cute and harmless games in the forms of worship, for they have no idea in the world what they are doing. Moses is telling us that in the latter times, the church itself is going to stoop to doing such abomination before the Lord. Deuteronomy 31:30 "And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the word of this song, until they were ended." We will now go into the Song of Moses in the next chapter.
