The Book of Ecclesiastes
|
"All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us."
Ecclesiastes 1:8-10

The books of reference used for
this study of the book of Ecclesiastes were the Bible,
King James Version, called "The Companion
Bible", Publisher Kregel; Strong's
Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, numbered to
the Hebrew, Chaldee, and Greek, and English,
coded to the Strong's Concordance numbers.
Other sources were also used besides these
references, but they were the major source of the
study. Of course without the leading by the Holy
Spirit, there would be no understanding of the
truths, for all the truth of the Scriptures are
revealed to us by God's Spirit.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send
unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of
truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall
testify of me:
John 16:13-14
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
will guide you into all truth: for he shall not
speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will shew you things
to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall
receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. |
