Exodus Chapter 14 "Pursuit and destruction of the Enemy. [1 - 31]" This

transcription/ location In Exodus chapter fourteen draws our attention to see just how blind God can make a person, and how He can close the mind of a person to the dangers that are all around him. Here Pharaoh has gone through ten plagues and even lost his firstborn son, and Pharaoh finally comes to the knowledge that it is God that is doing this to him. But here in this chapter, he will see the cloud that God has put around the children of Israel, and the pillar of fire to lead the way, and then even the Red sea will part, and those two million people walk on dry ground through the Red sea, and yet Pharaoh's mind is so fixed on getting God's children, that he willingly sends his army to their death; just as committed as he was the night that the death angel passed over his house. God is allowing all this to happen, and to be placed in His Word for the benefit of all those generations that live up to the time of the end. Exodus 14:1 "And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying," Exodus 14:2 "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baal-zephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea." This instruction from God is given before the fact of what will be taking place. It is prophecy to Moses this day of the Passover, and Moses is going to tell the people exactly what will take place on their journey. They are going to go on the first leg of their journey to a place called "Pi-hahiroth" which means "a place of Grass". The will set up camp there between the fort Migdol, and the Red sea. Think of it, they are traveling to and setting themselves into a place where there is no escape, by man's thinking. Sure it's a good place to camp with plenty of grass for the cattle, but with Migdol, the tower on one side and the Red sea on the other; this is the place God selected for His People to rest. "Baal-zephon" means "lord of the north." God is going to lead the His children right into a trap, and He baited them with with good pasture land for their animals, while they camped there. The Red sea in Hebrew was called "the sea of Suph" because it was "a sea of reeds or weeks." God is going to lead Moses and the children of Israel right into a trap. The way that this sea got its name "Red" in the translations, was certain scholars mistook the name "Edom's travel", which means "Red's travel", rather than use the word "Suph" which identifies the mess that the Red sea was in at the time. The Red sea was full of wild growth of reeds and weeds, which gave it it's name. This is brought out because of the Military effect that it would have at this time. Exodus 14:3 "For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, `They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.' " God is telling Moses exactly what Pharaoh will think and say after they leave, and Moses is relating these instructions by God on to the children of Israel, as they are preparing for their journey. Moses is saying, "Pharaoh is going to see the moves that we will make, by the direction we that move, and he will see that we have entrapped ourselves in the wilderness." Pharaoh will have regrets that he ever let us go; and then when he sees what we have done, he will think it will be easy to go and bring us back. God is allowing the children of Israel to see exactly what will take place. Even in the providing for the animals for their journey, God shows the children of Israel that everything that He says in His Word is true, and will come to pass. Exodus 14:4 "And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord." And they did so." God is back dealing with Pharaoh, for God will plant these seeds of thought in Pharaoh's mind, and harden his heart, or mind into thinking that Pharaoh's entire army is a match for Me. God is going to do this so that Pharaoh will know that "I am the Lord". "And they did so"; Pharaoh did exactly as God said he would do. Most people would think that this was a blunder by God, leading His people into this trap, however we will see that God had a plan for his children, and this was all part of God's perfect plan. Remember that children of Israel left the day after the night of the Passover with no weapons, but with lots of gold and silver and many of the Egyptians cattle. Though it looks bad for the Israelites, with Pharaoh on the march with all his chariots of war, horsemen, and weapons, remember that God will protect His children, and that makes Pharaoh on the losing side. You and God make a majority over all the other people. Exodus 14:5 "And it was told the king of Egypt that the People fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the People, and they said, "Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?" When the children of Israel had been out three days, the word came back to Pharaoh; the children of Israel have left. When the mourning of their firstborn was over, and they started to think over what they had done in letting Israel go from being their slaves, their free labor. Israel build all the nice things that Pharaoh had to show, and here we let all of slaves go. God turned Pharaoh's mind and that of his servants to be hardened against allowing them to go, and they wanted the children back the way they were. God is putting these thoughts into the head of Pharaoh and his servants. He said in verse four; "I will harden Pharaoh's heart..." So even though many will die, what is going to take place here is for the good. When each of these persons die, their souls go direct to the Father, and He will judge them at the appointed time. Those that are left will know that Father is the true God, and not some fish or animal or tree god. The Egyptians at this time had one of their gods for every situation, sitting on ever corner. Exodus 14:6 "And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him." Pharaoh didn't leave the planning up to one of his generals, for he took the best of his chariots and took the best military force that he had. Exodus 14:7 "And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and the captains over every one of them." Pharaoh took six hundred of this chosen chariots, those set for the hardest battle that the Egyptians would ever face. No doubt those chariots had the most modern weapons of that day. These 600 would lead the charge over all the other chariots of Egypt, and he had his best captains over all his forces. Pharaoh is making ready to make war against God's people. Remember the children of Israel had no weapons of war. God told us that the reason that He chose this path for the journey was to keep the children of Israel away from the war fearing people of the Philistines. Exodus 13;17, 18; "And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the People go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for god said, "Lest peradventure the People repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:" "But God led the People about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt." God knew that the children of Israel were unfit to do battle with any army that had weapons such as the Philistines, and it was better for the Israelites to be led in the manner that they were. So after the children of Israel had been gone for several day, Pharaoh though over what he had done, and changed his mind about their freedom. Exodus 14:8 "And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand." Once Pharaoh told them to leave; they were gone. They had eaten the Passover sacrificed lamb meal at the Passover the night before, and they had staff in hand, clothes girded for their travel, and they were out the door when the word came from Moses. They formed their ranks by tribe, five abreast, and they were down the road. When Pharaoh saw the high handed attitude that the children of Israel had, as they left, Pharaoh didn't like it. He saw the Egyptians gold, silver and bronze of his people on the Israelite's backs, and their cattle mixed in with the children of Israel's cattle. Pharaoh wanted just a little bit of revenge for the taking of so much life in his land. Remember that it was the death angel that took the life of the firstborn, So Pharaoh couldn't blame that on the Israelites. Whether Pharaoh liked it our not, God used him as a servant to fulfill His Word. Exodus 14:9 "But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and over took them encamping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon." It didn't take long for the Egyptians to overtake the children of Israel, as they were encamped by the Red sea. It Israelites were defenseless against Pharaoh, for they had no weapons, and they were trapped with no where to go, except through the sea. However the children of Israel were protected by the hand of God. This is the same that will be in our generation, as we are camped by the waters, which are the nations and peoples of the earth. God has given Satan strict orders that he is not to hurt or touch those with the seal of God in their forehead. Harm just won't happen because God has build a pillar of protection between you and the enemy. However we must first exercise that power and authority that our Lord has given us through His Word. Exodus 14:10 "And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord." When the children of Israel looked back along the trail and saw all those Egyptians marching towards them, they were afraid. Pharaoh brought his six hundred chariots, all the horsemen, and his army; and they were bearing down on Moses and the Israelites. Sure they cried out for the Lord's help, but do you really think that they felt that God would help them? Listen to what these children of Israel said to Moses: Exodus 14:11 "And they said unto Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?" They accused Moses and God of bringing them out in the wilderness to die. After all the protection that these children of Israel had received while the plagues were taking place, do you think that God was pleased with hearing their complaining? It shows you how weak there people were mentally, and what a bunch of wimps they were under those stressful times. Remember that the children of Israel did not have an army, but they marched as an army five abreast. They were just a massive community of about two million people, moving slowly in the direction that God and Moses were leading them. Disciplined troupes that are in God's army, those elect that have the Word of God in their forehead just don't shake up like this. They know those events that will happen in our day, and each God's elect them know that God will take care of them. God's army of angels is standing over them, and they just don't fear what Satan or man or his system can do to them. However this bunch of Israelite took it all out on Moses. Exodus 14:12 "Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, `Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians'? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness." Here we have that moaning all over again, just like the children of Israel did at the first test that Pharaoh put them through in Exodus 5:21. "And they said unto them. "The Lord look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us." The Israelites said of Moses and Aaron; you made us look bad in Pharaoh and the Egyptians eyes. God told the Israelites that they would be freed from their bondage, and they were still trying to please Pharaoh and their slave handlers. Be careful of how much weight you give to what men think of you. Sure we must protect our creditability, but not at the expense of going against God's Will for your life. Why would you think what any person thinks of you, when you are committed to following the instructions from His Word. Would you rather have God or Satan happy with you. It is a matter of putting discipline in your life, and it shows a lack of knowing that God is in control of your life, and those things that are happening to you is for your best anyway. If you have to go into a trial or two, it will help you, and maybe another brother of sister that needs help. Can you trust God enough to know that what ever happens in your life, when you are serving Him and following His direction by faith, God is going to make sure that you get through that hardship? God will use you in defeating the enemy in these latter times. Friend, you can count on it. Exodus 14:13 "And Moses said unto the People, "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever." Remember in the first few verses of this chapter, before the trip ever started, Moses told the people exactly what they were going to do, and the route that God was going to lead them through. Then all two million of the children of Israel lined up five abreast and began their march out of Egypt. The made it as far as this camp sight at the edge of the Red sea, and when they turned to look back, there was Pharaoh coming at them with the full strength of his army. It may appear that the children of Israel were defenseless, but Moses turned to them and said; "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will shew to you to day." Moses had no doubt or fear that God would protect and give them a way out. Stand still and stop your complaining at the things that are going on around you, God will take care of Pharaoh and the Egyptians, and we will not see them again any more, for ever. This is the day that the true deliverance from from Egypt will take place. Do your know why? God is going to eliminate them and bury them in the Red sea. Can you see these two million people standing on the sea shore, waiting for Moses and God to do something? Exodus 14:14 "The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." This is a promise from God that is just as true today as it was as these children of Israel stood there waiting for God to act in their protection. Do you ever imagine for one moment that these Israelites had in their mind that the Red sea would open and they would walk across on dry ground? Today many preachers are all locked up in the love of God, and they overlook the fact that our Lord shall fight for his own, His elect, and many are taken in the acts of God, as He protects His own. Friend, we are at war in these latter day with an enemy with supernatural powers. He will be here on earth shortly to fight you in a spiritual warfare and most Christians today have no idea how that battle will be fought. When that battle starts it will not be with guns and tanks, but with words and ideas, and spiritual warfare in supernatural ways. Our Lord is telling you that He will fight your fight for you, but we are to hold our peace, and watch how He does it. Sure you will be used to allow the holy Spirit to speak through you, but God and His wisdom through His Spirit will fight that battle against Satan, and his beast system. "God shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." Just as God will execute this Egyptians army, at the sounding of the seventh trump, that army of Satan, and his beast system will be executed in a moment. Just as a murderer and rapist should be executed under capital punishment, so also God expects us to follow His example. Real love is also tough love, and when send guilty one to the Father, you are protecting the next victim that this person would attacked. Exodus 14:15 "And the Lord said unto Moses, "Wherefore criest thou unto Me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:" Sure the Lord heard the children of Israel's cries; He told Moses to tell them to shut up and get ready to march and go forward. Father is getting a little tired of hearing their cries. Exodus 14:16 "But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea." God is giving the order to Moses to lift lift up his rod, and stretch it out over the Red sea, and the sea will be divided. Then lead the children through the sea on dry ground. these Israelite wimps have to see something before they will believe and have faith in God's protection. As they stood there, Moses held his staff out over the sea, and the a path through the Red sea was divided to give them a safe trip across. Revelation 12:15 - 17 tells us that when Satan and his fallen angels are kicked out of heaven on to the earth, Satan will spew out a flood of lies to try to destroy the woman, Israel again. Revelation 12:15 "And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood." Revelation 12:16 "And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth." Revelation 12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." In Moses day, they were trapped by the sea and the earth, the sea opened and helped the woman escape. Satan is coming to make war on the saints, just as Pharaoh was coming to make war with the children of Israel, with God's people. Do you think for one moment that you can compromise with Satan and his army of angels, God is telling you that it is He that will make war on Satan to protect the remnant of the seed of Israel that keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. God will open the gate to the east, and when the feet of Jesus Christ touch the mount of Olives, the enemies of God will be swept away, just as the Red sea will sweep away the men, horses and chariots of Pharaoh. This story of the parting of the Red sea is for you and me, for all those remnant with the seal of God in their forehead, to give us an example of how it shall be in our time of the end. However if your all wrapped up in rapture doctrine, Easter bunnies, and other traditional nonsense that forces you to worship the first messiah, you will be swept away just as Pharaoh's army was by Satan flood of lies. God's order is to stay put and have patience, wait on the Lord and watch, and see how our Lord moves to fulfill His plan in these end times. "Fear ye not, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will shew to you to day." Exodus 14:17 "And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get Me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen." This is the example that God is giving us, for He is telling us exactly what will happen before it happens, and we are to watch and allow these events to build our faith. God protects His own. God is going to harden the minds of the Egyptians and Pharaoh, just as He will harden people hearts in these end times. When the great tribulation of lies and deception comes on the earth, it doesn't matter where you are, god will show you His salvation on that day. God will not allow any of Satan supernatural darts to find your mind when you are under His protection. So what kind of God do you serve, one that can protect you, or one like the Egyptians had, that allow them to be swept away by the sea. If your serving the first messiah to come, you are locked in to Satan's kingdom. If you are patient to wait on the second, at the seventh and last trump, you are waiting on the Lord, Jesus the true Christ. God will divide the flood of lies and create a path of truth in your forehead, and the Holy Spirit will show you the path to walk through that flood of lies on dry ground. this will be the exact way that it will happen in these end times. God is telling you that He is the one that shall set Pharaoh's mind to do what he does, and Pharaoh and his troupes will do exactly as the plan of God call for. Friend it is not for your honor that God will do this and destroy the enemy, but honor to our heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. It is honor for God when we defeat Satan, because it is through His power, and in the name of Jesus Christ and His leadership that we have our victory as we follow Him. Exodus 14:18 "And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord when I have gotten Me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen." This is the purpose that God shall destroy Pharaoh's army by the sea. Let it be know that God is going to get the honor, and the Egyptians will know exactly who defeated them. Exodus 14:19 "And the Angel of God, Which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:" As the Egyptians army is closing in on the children of Israel, The Angel of the Lord that was leading the Israelites, removed himself from before them, and moved to the rear guard to be between the Israelites and the Egyptians. Friend, God is standing between us and our enemy always, to protect us when the enemy is closing in upon us. Today many are praying that they will not be around with Satan come for the tribulation. They just don't have the faith that God can keep His Word. You are living in the generation that shall see Satan and his fallen angels arrive on this earth, and they will have their supernatural powers to deceive those that do not expect him. If you are not ready for Satan and his mouth of lies and dirty trick, you are going to be taken by him immediately. Jesus warned you about those things or seal and trumpets in Mark 13, Matthew 24, and Luke 21 that will sound first before His coming, and He expects you to pay attention. Exodus 14:20 "And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night." This pillar came down between the Israelites and the Egyptians, and to the Egyptians is created a thick cloud of darkness, but it was the light to light the way, as the children of Israel would march five abreast through the way God had prepared for them. That pillar that was light one side of the pillar, became darkness that would prevent Pharaoh's army to approach God's children. When you have faith in our Heavenly Father, then His truth from His Word will show you a light. However if you are depending on the traditional teaching of men, then you will see nothing by confusion and misunderstanding when you try to follow your traditions. God's Word just won't make sense to you. It will be nothing but a story with out direction, or the direction that comes from some man's imaginations. Today most teaching from man's tradition tell us that there will be a rapture, and God is going to fly you out of here before Satan come for the great tribulation. However God has told us in Ezekiel 13:18 - 21; "Behold I am against your pillows [doctrines], wherewith you hunt souls to make they fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to to make the fly." Does the rapture doctrine still look good to you? God has told us in detail what we shall see and what we must do to serve him in the last days, and fly away is not part of God's plan. Stay in the light to where you will see where you are going, for God has lit that direction for you in His Word. Exodus 14:21 "And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided." Moses didn't cause the water to part, the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night. God used the forces in His created universe to cause the Red sea to part, and the waters were divided. People today have trouble seeing how this could be done. Several decades back a hurricane hit Central America, and the country of Belize and the shallow shore line moved several miles out to sea. While the ocean had moved out, the people could walk quite a way out to pick up things that were on the ocean floor; however once the hurricane had passed over, here came the waters right back to the shore line. Those stuck a mile out off the shore line were all washed away. What looked like a sure then at the time, became a death trap waiting to happen. Exodus 14:22 "And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left." After the east wind had blown for the entire night, the wind created dry ground for the children to pass in safety. The power of God held the waters back until all two million of the Israel crossed over on dry ground. As they passed through that valley of water, they saw the wall of water to their right and to their left side. Yet by faith they pursued marching forward to the other side. The "Wind" in the Scriptures is the "Ruach" the Holy Spirit of God. Exodus 14:23 "And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen." When the children of Israel were save on the other side, God lifted that pillar so much so that Pharaoh could see the route that the children of Israel took, and Pharaoh held nothing back, but sent all over armed forces into that path of death between the two walls of water. Exodus 14:24 "And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians," Sure that angel of darkness was still there, but God could see through that cloud of smoke and fire. Here they are going like gang busters down this dry path, heading for the Israelites on the other side, but when they are in the middle of the Red sea, the trouble starts. Exodus 14:25 "And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, "Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians." In the older Hebrew Manuscripts tell us that the waters started to come back, and the wheels started to clog up with mud. As time passed God allowed the wind to cease, and the waters started to come back. The chariot drivers, as well as the rest of the Egyptians are catching on that this was not a smart thing to do, in chasing after the children of Israel, for they have their God fighting for them. The odds are not fair, and the Egyptians started to realize this, but after it was to late. These Egyptians saw God moving through ten of the plagues against them, to force Pharaoh to allow the children of Israel go to serve their God. And when the Passover night came, every one of their families were affected by the loss of the firstborn on their families. However, here sitting on their chariots, in the mud ridden center of the Red sea, they finally got the message, but it was to late. God is for them that trust Him, and not for us. Friend, no matter where you are, when God promises you protection, you will receive that protection. On of the finest teachers of the Bible is our Lord Jesus Christ, and each time Jesus was asked what it would be like just before His return; Jesus responded "Let no man deceive you by any means." the enemy to the children of Israel was Pharaoh, yet for us living in these end times, our number one enemy will be deception. Satan will use lies and deception from the very pulpits themselves to deceive Christians into falling away from His Word. People will claim to be Christian pastors and teachers, but the traditions that they teach will ago against the words that are Written in the Word of God. The apostle Paul warned us of this in II Thessalonians 2:1 - 4 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him." [1] "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand." [2] Paul had written the Thessalonians a letter and sent it, but the people had misunderstood that letter, so Paul had to write this second letter to them. In that first letter, Paul was talking about what happened to souls of people that had died, and their bodies placed out in the grave. However here Paul is making his warning absolutely clear as to when Jesus Christ's second coming will be. II Thessalonians 2:3, 4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition," [3] "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." [4] "Let no man", not even your preacher of bible teacher "deceive you by any means", not even his doctrines of the traditions of men. The "man of sin" is "the son of perdition", and his name is Satan the destroyer. When Satan comes to earth at the sixth trumpet, there will be a great falling away. Satan will sit on his throne on the side of the north in Jerusalem and declare himself to be God, and the world will believe and worship Satan as God. It will happen, and Paul is warning you so that you will not be deceived as most Christians will. Jesus warned you that people, preachers and teachers will come preaching nonsense and false doctrine, and most Christians will believe it. People will come claiming to be Christians, but what they teach is not in the Word of God, and they are biblically illiterate. Jesus is telling you to watch out for them. Did God open a path through the waters so that his children could pass through on dry ground, or did He fly them over the Red sea? This is exactly how it will go down in the time of the end, God will open a way through the waters, the nations and peoples of this earth that follow Satan, and He will make a way that you and I can walk through on dry ground. God controls the elements of the universe, and He can control people's minds to protect His children. Exodus 14:26 "And the Lord said unto Moses, "Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen." When Moses stretched out his hand over the waters, the Red sea came back together and drowned all the Egyptians and their horses and weapons. Exodus 14:27 "And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea." God allowed His people to pass through the sea, but the Egyptians could not Pass over. Do your get it? What God has allowed His elect to do, He forbid the Egyptians and the world to do likewise. Exodus 14:28 "And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the hosts of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them." When the waters returned to normal, all the chariots and all the army of Pharaoh was killed by the sea. Not one person that followed after after the Israelites came out of the sea alive. This is exactly what will happen to you if you are part of Satan's little troupes that try to follow the path of God's elect through the waters of the end times. The waters of our day are "the peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues of the earth" as Revelation 17:15 points out. If you follow after those peoples and their tongues and traditions you will be swept away just as Pharaoh's army was. There is a flood of lies coming, and only those that are sealed with the truth in their mind ahead of time will not be swept away at Satan's coming. God protects His own. Satan is coming to this earth very shortly. Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." This happens at the sixth trumpet. Satan is identified here by each of his names by the roles that he has played. The Serpent in the garden of Eden, the dragon in the first earth age, and the Devil as he deceives those in this earth age of the flesh man. Satan is coming to this earth in the most supernatural form that the human mind can imagine, and God has told us you will be ready for him before he gets here, or you will be taken by him. There is no rapture, and escape short of your death of your physical body. The flood of Satan's lies will cover the earth, just as the waters of the Red sea covered over the army of Pharaoh, and "there remained not so much as one of them". Put flesh and blood of our generation to that statement, for you will be sealed and pass over, or you will be turned over to Satan by God. Why in the world would you be afraid of Satan or any part of what he has to give; for God will allow him only to have access to those that are not sealed in their minds with the truth of His Word. Exodus 14:29 "But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left." God used natural powers and forces to move the waters to get the job done, and move His people to the other side. It is up to you whether you sink or come through the waters in the last days. Exodus 14:30 "Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore." The Lord, YHVH, the God of Israel saved Israel that day out of the hands of the Egyptians. If the people had walked by sight rather than by faith, they would have taken the shortcut and would be in battle with the Philistines, and chased back into Egypt. However here they stood on the eastern shore of the Red sea, and gazed upon the thousands of dead Egyptian soldiers, their horses and weapons floating on the sea, and washing up on the sea shore. Their faith in God brought them through, and God saved each and every one of the children of Israel. Exodus 14:31 "And Israel saw the great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and His servant Moses." When the people saw those dead bodies being washed up the revered the Lord, for they knew exactly where their salvation came. They now believe what God has told them, through His servants Moses and Aaron. God gets the honor, and Moses sits in servant status. However we will see that shortly that reverence will dissolve away and they will be right back accusing Moses of their shortcomings. These children of Israel's faith seems good at the time, but they soon forget. Just like the people of today, their thoughts are; "What have you done for me lately God", is the way that they think.
