Ezekiel 2:1 "And He said unto me, "Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee."

"son of man", or in the Hebrew language, "ben 'adam". God doesn't want to talk to someone who is laying around; He told Ezekiel to get up on your feet, I want to talk to you. It is just like He told Job, "get up on your feet and stand like a man."

Ezekiel 2:2 "And the spirit entered into me when He spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard Him That spake unto me."

God stood Ezekiel up on his feet, then God spoke to him.

So now, after the "House of Israel" has been scattered for three hundred years, and then only God knew where they were. The "House of Judah" had been taken captive, and the entire city and Temple was about to be turned into rubbish, and now God appears, not in Jerusalem, but along the river Chebar in southern Iraq [Babylon] to this captive priest, Ezekiel. God had a message for His people, and he wanted His trusted servant Ezekiel to write it down.

Much of this message applies more to us today, living in these final days, then to mankind of any time prior. He wrote to the House of Israel, when no one, not even the house of Israel knew who or where they were. Even today, most of the people of the House of Israel think that they are Gentile, while they allow the Gentile "Kenites" to convince them that these mixed Nethinim of the promise of God.

Ezekiel 2:3 "And He said unto me, "Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against Me: they and their fathers have transgressed against Me, even unto this very day."

God is sending Ezekiel to all the tribes of Israel, to both the house of Israel, scattered, and the house of Judah which is now in captivity. It is sad that all the Israelites have closed their minds to all that God has given them, and rebelled against God.

There is nothing new under the sun, for even today, God's people follow after all the traditions that the Kenites have taught them, and attribute these things to God. We see today that most churches have left the word of God as the source or their teaching, and some even allow things that God hates, be part of their church.

There is hope though, for those that will listen to this voice that is speaking to Ezekiel, for that word is written, and those written words are the only hope that mankind has. Whose words let us know that God is very much in control today, and that love that He has for His people, goes out to you, in what ever condition your in, if you will but hear and obey that voice.

Ezekiel 2:4 "For they are impudent children and stiff-hearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, 'Thus saith the Lord God."

Gods people are "hard minded [impudent]", and "stubborn [stiff-hearted]", it is these people that this message of God is for. God told Ezekiel to tell the people the the message that he is giving is from God Himself. "It is written", "Thus saith the Lord our God."

Ezekiel 2:5 "And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them."

God told Ezekiel that he is going to them, and he will preach this message to them, and whether they will listen, or not, they will know that a prophet has come and given the word of the Lord. Ezekiel is to be bold against these stiff-necked, hard hearted people, and they still are going to get the message, whether they receive it or not.

Ezekiel 2:6 "And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house."

You don't need to be afraid of any of them, while giving out the Word of God. Even before the stiff-necked, hard-hearted so called Christians, and the world of today. Shortly these scorpions will be amongst us, for these scorpions are the scorpion army of Satan's demonic army that will invade this earth, just prior to his coming at the fifth trumpet. Jesus talked about this, as John wrote in Revelation 9:1-10. Revelation 9:3; "And there came upon the earth; and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power."

These fallen angels will be among us with the paralyzing powers of the scorpion, they will look like humanity, but they are fallen angels. Though demonics have always been amongst us, the final generation will be like none other. "And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads." [Revelation 9:4]

When these fallen angels flood the earth, the truth and knowledge that you have from God's word, will protect you from they. Why is this? Because their mission is to deceive the people of the earth, and cause them to worship the false Christ, Satan. If you know Who Satan is, and that Satan comes as the false Christ first [the Antichrist], then you will not be tempted by the miracles and wonders that God will allow Satan to have.

God then is telling Ezekiel to tell the people of Israel that though these false teachings, the thistles and briers of the Kenites, and these fallen angels are around us, His word will hold us up. Never be afraid to speak the truth. Though these stiff-necked people ridicule you, then it is time to stand your ground, and be bold in the word of God. Remember our answer to them is "It is written", and there is no debate over what is in the word of God. There is no other way even to get their attention, but by the word of God.

You must speak God's message with authority, or they just will not listen.

Ezekiel 2:7 "And thou shalt speak My words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious."

God is saying that it doesn't matter whether they will listen our not, you speak only what is in My word, and that is what you are accountable for. Another words, you preach my word exactly as it is written, and don't make any alibis for that word. When you do it God's way, God provides.

The beggar ministries of today are those that flower the word, and satisfy the ears of the world. Our mission is to plant the seeds of truth, and God makes the growth. It is the Spirit of God that convicts of sin, not you, and when that person comes to the saving knowledge of Christ, it is the Spirit of God that opens the mind to understand and to seal that mind with the truth.

Ezekiel 2:8 "But thou, son of Man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house:"

God is telling Ezekiel to listen, and not be as the others are.

Ezekiel 2:9 "And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;"

This roll of a book, or scroll, is the Word of the Living God. It is the Bible. It was handed to Ezekiel by the almighty God, and it is the tool that we must use to understand the thoughts and intents of the Heavenly Father.

Ezekiel 2:10 "And He spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and morning, and woe."

This scroll, contained the entire word of God, full of every thing that God would have us know. It is the whole word of God, there was lamentations or sad stories, and the calamities and disasters that have happened, and will come upon this earth before this earth age comes to a close.

When you understand all the lamentations and calamities that happen around you, they do not pertain to you, for God will protect you from them. For with that knowledge comes His peace of mind. That is why we don't have to care about their words, we don't even have to impress them, or even care whether they listen or not. All we have to do is give His word, and let that word do the touching of the heart. His word does the lifting, and the convicting, and the changing of lives. And that is why we are to teach the whole word, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.

that is the word written on the scroll that was spread out before the prophet Ezekiel. The the words on that scroll is what God came down to earth to personally give to Ezekiel, to in turn give to you and I.
