Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He gives us types, or historical events of the past that we can check out for ourselves, and He says that they are only a type of how it will be in the end times. The subject in this chapter is Jerusalem, and the land of Israel. It shall cover the events that shall happen there, and who will be the ones to conquer it, and by whose authority.

The land that is conquered shall be Jerusalem and Israel, and it shall be conquered by the sword of the living God, which is to say, God's sword His servant, the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. God controlled the sword of Nebuchadnezzar, and this is also to say that God will control the sword of the Nebuchadnezzar of the time of the end, the Antichrist, Satan. This Babylon is described in Revelation chapters sixteen through eighteen. This is also spoken of in Revelation 9 where the key, or authority is given to the Antichrist, and the restriction that is placed upon him, is given in verse four.

Revelation 9:4; "And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads." That seal, or marking of God in their foreheads, is the knowledge of the word of God, so that God's elect will not be deceived and worship the Antichrist as the true Messiah.

The same set-up exists today that existed before the fall of Jerusalem when the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar took it over. The preachers were running around saying it's not going to happen, you don't even have to know about what God's Word says because it is not going to happen. Today they are telling you, We will be gone [the rapture]. There is just one fact that is devastating to the souls of those so-called Christians, It is not going to happen.

God has repeated over and over, by himself, the Apostles, the prophets, and in detail what will take place prior to His return, and it is directed to His elect, those that will face the king of Babylon in the end times. People desire to listen to listen to fairy-tales, rather then God. This chapter then, is another place where you can look to a geographic location, and the events taking place there, to see the exact hour that we are living in on God's prophetic clock.

Ezekiel 21:1 "And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,"

Ezekiel 21:2 "Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,"

This word "drop", in the Hebrew text is "nataph" [naw-taf'], which means to "ooze, or give out gradually". Ezekiel is not to prophesy against the false prophets of his day by barn-storming them; but buy breaking it to them gradually. Give them a little truth at a time. The People are not capable of understanding the prophecies, because of the vast flood of false teaching being peddled by the so-called ministers [prophets] of God. That teaching is the teaching concerning Jerusalem.

We know from Zechariah 14:4 that Jesus Christ will set His feet on the mount of Olives, and at that time God will prepare the way for His Elect to be drawn to Him. The events in Ezekiel 21 take place before that event of Zechariah takes place. Always watch the events of Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 21:3 "And say to the land of Israel, 'Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth My sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked."

Remember in Ezekiel sixteen that God promised to make an eternal covenant with Jerusalem, well at the end of this age, that covenant will be reestablished. Notice here that God will take His sword, [His words prophesied in the Bible], "out of his [the Antichrist's] sheath", and cause the city to fall. God will not spare the city, just because you have a few righteous ones left. The city of Jerusalem will fall to the Satanic, one world system of the Antichrist, led by the Kenites.

Keep your mind on the subject; the city of Jerusalem will fall, it doesn't say the righteous will fall, but the city will fall. The subject is "toward the land", not the people. Be forewarned, both the righteous and the wicked shall go through the tribulation of the king of Babylon, however it is no big deal, for you will not be tempted by the Antichrist, or the false promises that he will offer to you. That is what the "seal of God" is, the knowledge that is in your mind from God's Word, as to the events that will take place.

Ezekiel 21:4 "Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall My sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:"

Again we are talking about the city of Jerusalem, not the people but the land. The authority of the Antichrist, and his religious system will go forth to all people in every corner of this earth. The deception and lying wonders will deceive all people on the face of the earth, and they all shall seek shelter and provision from him. God will spare no-one that does not have His markings, or seal of God in their mind.

Ezekiel 21:5 That all flesh may know that I the Lord have drawn forth My sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more."

In other words, the birth pains of the new age will start with such a rapid pace that the entire earth will be ushered into Satan's [the Antichrist's] grasp, and the end will come swift. The mind-set of all the people will be complete, and in one accord in support of the Antichrist. The goals of the Antichrist will be goals that sound to good to be true, just like the Babylon of Daniel's day. Peace and prosperity, and provision for all were promised and given, however the price was to bow down and worship the image of the beast. This the world will gladly do to the image [religious system] of the beast of the Babylon of the end times.

Ezekiel 21:6 "Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes."

This is God's instruction to Ezekiel, and in a sense, if you are one of God's elect, within your heart you may see this same sign. This is a sign that Ezekiel is to perform in the sight of the people.

The "loins" are the hips, that are the foundation of man. What God is saying, is that you put pain and expression in your face, and actions, as if your very hips are broken, and with bitterness and anguish sigh before their eyes as you prophecy. God is telling Ezekiel to act out the pain that will fall on those that will not heed your heavenly Father's warning.

This sword that will come is the message that the king of Babylon will come before the true Christ comes. It will be painful for those that do not believe this, and they will fall to the first christ, the false christ. They will be deceived, and suffer the loss to their souls.

Ezekiel 21:7 "And it shall be, when they say unto thee, 'Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, 'For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, an all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord God."

God is instructing Ezekiel that when the people see him in pain and suffering, and ask, "Wherefore sighest thou?", he is to respond, "because of the news [tidings] that God has given me." There is no way, regardless how much you pray, or hope, unless you die a natural death, or other-wise; you will not escape the sword of the Lord that is coming. That sword of the Lord, is the king of Babylon.

When the tidings come and the people see the Antichrist, all people, Christians alike will think it is the true Christ. Every heart [mind] will believe absolutely in this Antichrist, to where they will give dying service to him [all hands shall be feeble]. The spirit of the Antichrist will be in them, and their minds will be closed to receiving the truth of God's word. At that time you will be sealed by God, or you will have the mark of the Antichrist. It is absolute, one or the other, with no change-over. Every person on the face of the earth will bow to the Antichrist, except God's elect, and this is what is meant by, "all knees shall be weak as water".

That king of Babylon is recorded in the book of Revelation. There will be no fly-away, and that is why we are told by Paul to put on the gospel armor of God, to mark you as a child of the living God, and a soldier in the Christian army. This is in a spiritual sense, for we fight against the wiles of the devil. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand." Ephesians 6:11-13

What God is saying here is that nothing can stop the appearing of the Antichrist, so get out there and get ready for it. Get God's word in your mind and know what to expect so that when it comes to pass, you will know Satan the Antichrist for what he is, and not be taken by him. It will be painful, for when it is over with, they will be grinding their teeth, and praying for the mountains to fall upon them.

Ezekiel 21:8 "Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,"

Now we are going deeper into this.

Ezekiel 21:9 "Son of man, prophesy, and say, 'Thus saith the Lord; Way, 'A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:"

Let them know that God's word is unsheathed, and ready to start doing it's cutting. The events are already taking place right before your eyes; so wake up and behold them as they come to your attention. "Furbished" is in sight and glistening in the sun. It is close enough that if you will take the time to look, the events will stand out as plain as a shining sword reflecting sunlight.

Ezekiel 21:10 "It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth?  make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree.

The sun is blazing of this sword, as it is starting to cut. Should we be rejoicing [make mirth] at a time like this. God is saying, No, you better have a pain look on your face, as you see the events rapidly taking place, and this sword starting to slash. God is saying that you can rejoice in the Lord when it happens, but feel sorrow for those that are condemned under that rod that rod that Jesus Christ will swing, for those that follow the Antichrist, and his system.

They "contemnith", or despise the rod of My son, and this son is the scepter, or the rulership of Judah. God gave special instructions that The kings of Judah would go under Babylon for seventy years, only the king of Judah, and his false prophets all rebuked the word of God, and refused that word. Thus they despised that word of God.

The sword of Babylon, then despiseth the scepter of Judah, and the scepter of the true Christ. Remember that the trees are symbolic of people, just as in the Garden of Eden of Genesis three. Just as Babylon despised the the true Christ, so also will every person be toward the true Christ. They will not except the truth of God's Word, but will adhere to the traditions and false doctrines that they were taught.

Ezekiel 21:11 "And He hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer,' "

God hath given it to be furbished, it is God that will place the sword in the hand of the one to cause these events to come about. The slayer is not the king of Babylon of Ezekiel's time, but is one of Satan's names, in a futuristic sense. It is that time when Satan is the king of Babylon. Wake up friend, we are long into this prophecy now.

Ezekiel 21:12 "Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon My People, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon My People: smite therefore upon thy thigh."

In other words, it is time to do your act, warn them, and show the pain. This is also what we ought to do today, it is not only going to happen, it has started already to happen. The sword is in the hands of the Antichrist Satan, who is this king of Babylon of the end times, It is absolutely going to come about, and every last person from the top leadership of the Christian nations, to the lowest man huddled under the bridge, they will all fall under the slayer's hand. It is time to give the warning [smite therefore upon thy thigh].

We should not rejoice when we see these events come to pass and the rejection of the truth in favor to fairy-tales being taught, for it is in the churches today. When you see the false hope, and rejection of the truth, it is like watching the ships that go down at see, and the people refusing to get into the lifeboats. It is not just their physical bodies at stake here, but the existence of their very souls.

Churches today have created an art of moving people to an emotional state, of empty promises in God's name. Whereby if they make a simple walk forward, with the uttering of words that they don't understand, then they will be saved. This is the sum total of what they call the Gospel, and being saved, rather then giving them the full instruction of God's Word, and preparing them to stand in these final days. There is no depth to their teaching.

If it is truly the Holy Spirit that calls one to salvation then it is the most precious thing in the world. But after the person makes his commitment to Jesus Christ, then it is time to get down to work, and start his preparation to walk in that new life that they have committed to.

Ezekiel 21:13 "Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord God."

And what if the sword contemn or hateth the rod, or scepter of Judah, it doesn't make any difference, for it will be no more. The entire houses of Israel and Judah will be taken by the Antichrist in this trial that God is sending upon the earth. If you understand in your mind [heart], and have repented, and confess the Lord Jesus Christ, and know what to expect, you won't be cut down by that sword, however, God has said here that those Christian churches and synagogues of the houses of Israel and Judah simply will not exist anymore, for they will be part of Satan's world system.

Ezekiel 21:14 "Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers."

God is telling Ezekiel, and us in the end times, to be bold in the teaching of His word. God is saying that they don't want to hear what you have to say. They don't believe you, and they will run and hide from listening to you, from the greatest person in the government and church houses, to the lowest. They don't want to hear what you have to say, for they think by being ignorant of God's Word they will not be held accountable.

Remember in II Thessalonians 2:1-2; "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, [1] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand." Paul is warning the church that they will hear many things, by many means that Christs coming [the day of the Lord] is at hand.

II Thessalonians 2:3; "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition," Jesus Christ shall not come until this "son of perdition", which is the king of Babylon, also called the Antichrist is standing in the holy place in Jerusalem, and claiming himself to be the true God. That is what Daniel calls the Abomination of desolation in Daniel 9:27.

Then because people simply do not want to believe what the prophets and apostles, including Jesus Himself has forewarned, God says in II Thessalonians 2:11-12; "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." If you don't want to believe the truth, God will block the truth from entering your mind.

God is warning you that entering into your "privy chamber", the private chamber of your private church house will not allow you to escape what is coming. All your tradition of grandma and grandpa, that taught you that you would not face the Antichrist of the end times will not help you one bit, but they will condemn your mind to Satan's authority.

Ezekiel 21:15 "I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter."

The point of the sword against all their gates, is the fact that every last church house, and person in those houses and synagogues will be brought under the sword of the Antichrist, and it is God Himself that makes sure your are there. When the star [Satan] falls from heaven, as recorded in Revelation 9, there will be much bitterness, it will be like honey in the beginning, and that time will be very short, then comes the bitterness, and shame. Satan will be the bright and morning star that comes first, only he is a copy of the true christ, he is the Antichrist.

Ezekiel 21:16 "Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set."

God is directing this to the king of Babylon, He is telling the Antichrist to wheel his sword to the right and then to the left, don't let any escape the deception of his rule. Take them all. We are told that the sword of the Lord in the end times is the Word that God has spoken. That sword cuts both ways [Revelation 1:16]. That word you will completely believe and trust in, or you will be cut down by it. It will build you up, or offend you to the point not being able to listen to it.

The opposite of Christ's sword, which is the sword of the Antichrist, is his lies and deceptions. It is those things that will cause you to think that he is the true Christ. Satan is the "son of perdition", and he is the only one that fits that description, of all times. He is the only one that has already been condemned to die.

Ezekiel 21:17 "I will also smite Mine hands together, and I will cause My fury to rest: I the Lord have said it."

This is God speaking, and it is going to come to pass. Everything stated in His Word will come to pass exactly as it is spoken. The "rest is the seventh day, and as used here the seventh is the Millennium age. When God smites His hands together at the appointed time, Jesus Christ will return, and the Millennium age will begin on that day.

Ezekiel 21:18 "The word of the Lord came unto me again, saying,"

Ezekiel 21:19 "Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city."

What is out side the east gate, the "head of the way to the city"? It is the mount of Olives, and what God is telling us through Ezekiel is to go back to what was spoken on the mount of Olives. The message that Jesus gave his disciples on that mount, was the events that would come to pass just prior to His return in the second advent. There are "two ways to that city", there are different two comings of two different Christs. The Hebrew idiom, "Choose thou a place", tells you this is a sign, and the answer lies in the "Head of the way to the City". The key to understanding of that sign comes from Jesus Christ Himself and the message He gave on the Mount of Olives in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21.

Ezekiel 21:20 "Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced."

This is discussed later, however the sword to Rabbath of the Ammonites refers to a time where there is much plenty and mischief.

Ezekiel 21:21 "For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver."

The king of Babylon in the latter days is the Antichrist, and he will stand in that place on the mount of Olives, and make and use divination, or religion. That is what the second beast of Revelation 13 is, the religious beast. When the first beast [a political beast] receives its deadly wound, it will be healed, and the world will wonder and follow after her. They will worship this religious system, and this "king of Babylon" of the end times [Satan, the Antichrist] will have the authority over the beast.

The arrows are one of the modes of divination by which the arrow (marked like a lot), gave the decision. The "images" are the "teraphim", or family idols. The idols that families have in their homes, and hold to a high respect. The Antichrist, Satan will also "look in the liver", which is another form of divination. By this means, If healthy or double and the lobes inclined inward, the omen was favourable; but if diseased or too dry, or without a lobe, or bands between the parts, the omen was unfavorable. These are just a few of the divinations that the Antichrist will use in his world rule.

Ezekiel 21:22 "At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort."

The right hand man is the one that does the work, and the Antichrist will charm Jerusalem right into his service for his divinations.

God is asking, should I go against My word? God has stated that what is written, shall come to pass, and God has told in detail what would come if the people and nations committed certain sins. He has detailed the prophecy of Israel, and the two Houses in the end times. Remember from the beginning of this chapter, the prophecy is to Jerusalem.

Have you ever wondered where Satan will first appear as the Antichrist, He just told you, it is in this land of Israel, in the city of Jerusalem. It is also in Jerusalem that the many fallen angels that will come with the Antichrist will have control. Jesus told us that these fallen angels would come, "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." These fallen angels are the locust army that is spoken of in the book of Joel, and Revelation 9. This is why we must keep watching what is going on in Jerusalem, for it is a key to understanding the signs of the times.

God is not addressing people but a geographic location. God is saying that Jerusalem will be filthy, just like in the days of your nativity, when your were created. Jerusalem's birth was as a filthy child, it came into existence as Jabus, the capital of the Jebusites, and their heathen religions. So when you understand the filth that the Antichrist will bring to Jerusalem, then you can understand the judgment that God will bring on Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 21:23 "And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken."

Ezekiel 21:24 "Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand."

Ezekiel 21:25 "And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,"

Ezekiel 21:26 "Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high."

Ezekiel 21:27 "I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him."

Ezekiel 21:28 "And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:"

Ezekiel 21:29 "Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end."

Ezekiel 21:30 "Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity."

Ezekiel 21:31 "And I will pour out Mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of My wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy."

This is directed to the "day of the Lord", that day spoken of when Jesus Christ will come as the King of kings, and Lord of lords, and on that day He will judge Jerusalem, and those wicked ones that have deceived the whole world. The city of Jerusalem will be turned to sand, and laid flat with not one stone standing upon another.

Ezekiel 21:32 "Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it."

After the city has been laid waste of all its filth, and evil rudiments, Jesus Christ will make it into a new Jerusalem that will be home for His Temple for the Millennium age. Satan will be in the pit, and all the fallen angels, and evil ones taken from us. It will be a time of teaching and discipline, and the details of this period are given in the final eight chapters of Ezekiel.

This chapter has been addressed to Jerusalem, and to those who occupied her during the periods leading to both the ancient Babylonian captivity, and the captivity of the end times. Watch Jerusalem, for "the parable of the fig tree" will be prophecy come to pass in our day.
