Ezekiel 47:1 "Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar."

Ezekiel 47:2 "Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side."

Remember we are still in the Millennium age, and are now going back into the temple of that age. This is at the north gate as you are looking eastward, and this river is flowing from right under the very throne of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is not the actual water, as we think of water today, made up of oxygen and hydrogen, with other contaminates; but a spiritual life giving flowing water, an living water. So we will no see how this river of spiritual living water will run.

Ezekiel 47:3 "And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ancles."

So we see here, Ezekiel and this man with the measuring reed are going to wade across this river of living water that is flowing out from under the throne of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are wading about 2000 feet, considering the "cubit" to be between 21 and 25 inches. It is pretty easy walking, and easy to relate to if you have ever walked the beach at the ocean at high tide. Almost no restriction in your movement, as the waters are only ankle deep.

Remember, though the lesson is given in a physical sense, we are talk about a river of real spiritual water, in the Millennium age, that is life giving to all those living in that age, in their spiritual bodies. In that Christ is living on earth at that time in His kingdom, we know by what Paul said in I Corinthians 15:50-52; 'Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. [verse 50] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [verse 51] In a moment, in the twinkling [wink] of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed". [verse 52]

All people on the face of the earth, living when that instant in time occurs of the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet, are going to be "changed" and not fly away. The change is from the corruptible body [the physical body] to the incorruptible body [the spiritual body], that body that only God can destroy. So this river of flowing spiritual water gives live to that spiritual body.

Ezekiel 47:4 "Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins."

So Ezekiel and this measuring man giving Ezekiel the lesson continued into the river two thousand feet more, and the walking is getting gradually harder as they continue into the river, when they reach four thousand feet into the river they are up to their knees in water, and they just keep on going for another two thousand feet. By now they are a mile out into this spiritual river of water flowing from beneath the throne of our Living God, Jesus Christ. They are waste deep in water, and the walking is getting tough, and hard to walk and keep your balance.

Ezekiel 47:5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not Passover: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over."

This river of living water has grown into a impassable river, which has a torrent of flow. to swift and rough to even swim across.

There is a spiritual lesson to be learned here. There are spiritual waters that is available to God's children that they can cross over easily, and some times the going gets a little tougher, with various degrees of difficulty. Yet, there are God's sheep [Christians] on both sides of the river, and God will not allow some of his sheep to cross from one side of the river, to the other.

Ezekiel 47:6 "And he said unto me, "Son of Man, hat thou seen this?" Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river."

This messenger of God is asking Ezekiel, "Do you understand what I am telling you?" After Ezekiel got the message, both Ezekiel and the man [messenger] went back to the river bank.

Ezekiel 47:7 "Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other."

We continually throughout the Bible that trees are symbolic of people, and in this spiritual lesson of the Millennium age, when we are all living from this river of living spiritual water, these trees are representative of people. There are many people on both sides of this river, on both banks. Though these people can see each other, the river makes it impossible to cross over to the other side. These people on both sides of the river are different, yet, separated by the Holy Spirit that flows from the Living God, our Lord Jesus Christ. The power of that living water, our Lord. This river of life giving, spiritual water is the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 47:8 "Then said he unto me, "These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed."

God is telling us through this messenger, that His Spirit heals, which is this the healing life giving waters of this river, and will heal all the people [sea] of the world. This is an explanation of the order of God; and it has nothing to do with race, or nations, or the color or any separation of mankind in general. It has to do with the order of God's placement of all of God's Children as He deals with them individually.

We know that all the nations will have souls saved out of them, as discussed in Revelation 21:24, In the Millennium age, all nations and races are present, and individually God, and His Spirit will give the spiritual food to heal all that will yield to His Spirit. There will be no hindrances at this time, and understanding will be clear to all.

God has an overall plan, and it is not something to tare yourself apart over, but simply take it by faith; and let it rest where you cannot understand it. Rest assured though, that it will come to pass. Believe it when you can see it, and take the rest by faith until you see it.

Ezekiel 47:9 "And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the river shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed: and every thing shall live whither the river cometh."

These waters from the throne of our Lord Jesus Christ will cover everything, and flow to everywhere on this earth. They are all connected, and the reason for this is because these flowing waters is the Holy Spirit of God.

The "fish" is what will receive the sufficient life and strength from these waters, while the pollution is what the waters [Holy Spirit] shall heal, and it is from man's pollution. This great multitude of fish are all the people of the world, of all nations and races. They are on both sides of the river, and are all healed by the living waters. In the Millennium age all forms of pollution will be gone, both in the physical realm, and the spiritual forms of idolatry, which mankind has wallowed in during this entire earth age. It will be the Holy Spirit, that Spirit of the Living God, that will be doing the cleansing, and the healing. There is no sewage produced in the spiritual body, and God will do the cleaning up in the Millennium age.

Ezekiel 47:10 "And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many."

Both the words "engedi", and "enegliam", though they be ancient towns, in the Hebrew are derived from the same word. It means "the fountain of the kid, or calves" [in the Strong's Hebrew dictionary, the root word is # 5869.] It has to do with the outward appearance, or the eye of the landscape; another words, the actual way things will be in this Millennium age.

The subject that is discussed here, is that there are more than one kind of fish, or peoples or flesh that will be in this Millennium age. Are we talking about Spirit body and flesh body? probably not, However, the interesting question brought forth is what kind of substance will all these fish be made of to exist as different kinds. We know that this is a time where flesh doesn't exist, Yet, the Scriptures simply does not give details about these fish [people], and what causes them to be different. However, we know that our Lord cares about all His children, whatever the origin of their race.

Ezekiel 47:11 "But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt."

We are instructed by our Lord Jesus Christ to be the salt of the earth, in Matthew 5:13, and it is this salt of the earth, or the elect, that will be doing the teaching, judging, and discipline of the Millennium age. There are many in the Millennium age that will refuse to be healed by the healing spiritual waters of the Spirit of the Living God. These are the marishes and miry places that will be given over to the elect, who will be doing the service in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, and it is they that will provide the salt, or discipline and teaching to those spiritually stagnate and rebellious souls.

Ezekiel 47:12 "And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine."

The people on both sides of this river will grow trees for meat, yet, you [they] cannot consume the fruit [food] that these trees produce. It is not the fruit of the trees that is important, but the leaves. These leaves will be used for healing. They are the Divine provision for preserving and restoring health in that future day, when this prophecy shall be literally fulfilled.

It is from this verse that Jesus is quoting to John in Revelation 22:2; "In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." This verse is a reflection of the vision that God gave to Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 47:13 "Thus saith the Lord God; "This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

Joseph will be getting two portions because both of Joseph's sons were blessed and given equal rights with all the other tribes, as recorded in Genesis 48. Those two sons of Joseph carried the promises of the birthright of Abraham, as also recorded in that same chapter. The sons names were Ephraim and Manasseh, and all details of the blessings that God promised to Abraham, can only be seen in the United States [Manasseh], and England [Ephraim]. Until you can accept this as fact, much of Bible prophecy simply will be confusing to you.

Ezekiel 47:14 "And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up Mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance."

This is the promise that God gave to Abraham, that we read about in Genesis 12:7, and 17:8.

Ezekiel 47:15 "And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;"

Ezekiel 47:16 "Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazar-hatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran."

Ezekiel 47:17 "And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath and this is the north side."

Ezekiel 47:18 "And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side."

Keep in mind that Ezekiel is measuring out the "eretz", the land that is to be divided up as part of the promises that God gave to Abraham.

Ezekiel 47:19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the water of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward."

Ezekiel 47:20 "The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side."

Ezekiel 47:21 "So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel."

Ezekiel 47:22 "And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall begat children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel."

As other races and immigration has come to become citizens in the nations comprising the tribes of Israel in this earth age, God is not going to separate them in the Millennium, for many have children born through mixed marriages, and God is going to include them as part of the inheritance of the tribes they mixed with. As love and bonds grow in these mixed families, God says He simply will not brake those bonds in the Millennium age.

Ezekiel 47:23 "And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord God."
