"The Day of the Lord, Acknowledgment; Enemies, Israel."

It is very important to pay attention to all the things that we are about to discuss because we are in the generation that will see them come to pass. Our generation has witnessed many of the things that were given for the time of the end, and to our children they are studying end time prophecy as history and current events. The New World Order is a reality in the form of the United Nations, and every nation on the face of the earth is a member of that political body. The new world order is only the first step of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 27:1 "In that day of the Lord with His sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea."

"That day of the Lord" is the day that this chapter is talking about, which is the last day of this earth age of the flesh. It is the start of the Millennium age, and the time that Christ will bring His sword on the whole earth. The slaying that is going to take place will be of the devil and those that took part in his deception. Satan is the serpent, that old devil, the Assyrian, the dragon, lucifer and the many other roles that he played in deceiving mankind.

Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Jesus Christ is bringing a "sore", or heavy and severe strong sword upon Satan on this day. and that sword is given in Revelation 1:16; "And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength." That sword is the Word of God. When God spoke something it comes to pass, for God even spoke the universe into place, and in His infinite wisdom He knows every thought we think before our mouth can say the words.

God is going to say the words, and destroy Satan and all his fallen angels, and that includes all forms of evil and idolatry. By Jesus Speaking the words, Michael takes hold of him and throws Satan in the abyss [the pit].

On that great Day of the Lord Jesus Christ shall also punish the three animals of "leviathan", so it is important to understand what the word "leviathan" means in the Hebrew tongue. In the Strong's Hebrew Dictionary #8382; "Ta'am; taw-am'; a prime root; to be complete, to be twinned, i.e., duplicated, coupled together." All three of these creatures are names for the devil in the different roles that He has played. He is called "that old devil, Lucifer, the serpent not only of the Garden of Eden, but in the end times that shall deceive the people of the world. Our Lord is going to bring "His sore and great and strong sword" on that day that He comes to close out this earth age of the flesh. That sword is going to destroy Satan.

That "leviathan" of Job 41:1 is the old crocodile, which is used in the analogy of Satan. So why is both the serpent and the dragon both brought into one character, duplicated and coupled together here? Some try to teach that there are three animals mentioned here, however, this is an analogy of Satan, by the name that he is called by the Almighty God. God is saying that He has a sword for this serpent when He returns at the second advent. It is not up to you to take care of Satan or any of his realm when he is on the earth deceiving people, God is going to do that through Michael. We are to order Satan out of our lives today, for we know for a certainty what is going to happen to him.

Isaiah 27:2 "In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine."

On that day of the Lord, when Jesus Christ returns God elect, those that love the Him will sing praises to Him. The "red wine" is symbolic of God's blood that is shed for you and I. This is the day of restoration and God will put a stop to Satan's bothering our people. Even today God has given us power over Satan in Jesus name, but we have to exercise the power that we have.

Isaiah 27:3 "I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day."

God is talking about His vineyard, the nation of His people. God watches over you night and day and you are watered with the due, the pure water of truth, if you are receptive to it. That is why His people sing their praises, as we read in verse two.

Isaiah 27:4 "Fury is not in Me: who would set the briers and thorns against Me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together."

You have to stick to the subject here, and that subject is the "new nation". God is saying that His anger and fury is not toward My children, that is to say those that love Me. Then He asks, Who is trying to set the briers and thorns against Me in battle? He is talking about the enemy of the vineyard, of course.

Remember in that parable where the thorn bush [Satan] said you do like I tell you to, and I will be your protection forever? The thorn bush made the condition though that you must live in my shadow. The only problem here is that the thorn bush gives no shadow, so he is a liar from the very beginning. Today a lot of people just love to believe lies because it gives them another way out. They will believe anyone that will whisper in their ear the sweet things that they want to hear. When a preacher tells them, "you don't have to study the book of Revelation, or the Old Testament is not for us"; this allows them to become lazy Christians, resting on the fairy-tales of the fly-away doctrines and short cuts. They do not dig into the meaning of the Word of God to prepare themselves to stand against Satan with their full armor on and in place.

Anytime you are taken by the "leviathan the crooked and piercing serpent" you are on the way to hell. When you are taken by the first messiah to show his supernatural powers, you have been taken by Satan. Are you going to listen to what God says, or to what men say? What God is saying here is that when you are part of His vineyard, and have prepared yourself, you don't have to worry about anything. Do you have the faith to believe that God can protect you every hour of the day?

Isaiah 27:5 "Or let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me."

The subject of this verse is "hiding in Him". The word "strength" in the Hebrew text in "azaz", number 5810 and means a fortified place, and place of defense. Don't try to take on His strength, for it will put you on an ego trip, thinking that you have the strength of God, however we are to take our strength within Him, and let Him give the protection. This doesn't mean that we are to do nothing, but you are to do only what He says within His Word. He gives the protection as well as the vengeance. Romans 12:19 says; "Vengeance is Mine saith the Lord". God takes care of His own. We are to do what He says, and through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 27:6 "He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit."

Through the dressing of God's vineyard, His city will be enlarged. God's children will produce fruit for His kingdom. "Jacob" is always referred to as the natural seed of our Heavenly Father, of all tribes of Israel. So as you look across the face of the world, the way to tell who God's children are, is that they will produce fruit. Then you test that fruit to know if you are really in the Word or not. If your fruit does not produce more fruit for you, then then there is a lack of understanding.

Isaiah 27:7 "Hath He smitten him, as He smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

The subject in this verse is "Jacob", and the question is; has Jacob been smitten? This is asking the question; Has God punished Jacob just as the enemy has? Of course the answer to that, after what has just been said, is if you are in doubt to the care that God has for His people, then you have a problem. Remember God stated that He watches over you and protects you, and He is your defense, and then if someone turns around and states; "God is hurting me", just does not know God. God does not punish you like the enemy punishes you. God loves you and blesses you, but He destroys the enemy.

Isaiah 27:8 "In measure, when it shooteth His rough wind in the day of the east wind."

In measure, when we stop to consider, when God's people shooteth forth in that day, you will meditate on just what our Heavenly Father has done. The "rough wind" is what God puts out on the enemy. The "east wind" comes right off the hot desert, scorching and burning. God does not use the wind of punishment that are sent on His enemies against His own people.

Isaiah 27:9 "By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when He maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up."

"By this" chastisement that God has brought upon His enemies, is not the same as the correction brought upon His own. When God does correct us, He doesn't over do it. When corrections come, and we see what it is, we should thank Him for it. When God sends a trial upon us, or a correction on you it is done so that you will repent of sin and start to bear some fruit for Him. The false religions and false teachings presented by those that claim to be Christians, only teach their traditions and make void the world of God will not produce fruit for the kingdom of God. Only God's Word will produce fruit. That "fruit" is the Word of God made alive in the minds of men, whereby they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, see their sin and repent in Jesus name, and turn to follow His Word.

We are living in the end times, the events and signs of prophecy are going on all around us today, and yet some Christians have not taken the time to stop and consider the protection that God is giving us. The one world government is in existence, and the altars, groves and images of these times are clouding over the minds of even Christians who have not put on the whole armor of God. That armor is the Word of God, and within His Word we are given all the instructions so that we do not fall for the deceptions of these days that we live in.

Isaiah 27:10 "Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof."

This "defenced city" is Jerusalem, and at the return of Christ it will be left desolate. Prior to His return it will be the gathering place of all nations, and the place where Satan and his angels will rule from. All those evil things that come forth out of Jerusalem, and around the world will be done away with and destroyed completely. We are to be the branches of the main vine which is Christ, and it is God that does the pruning of those branches. That dead wood that is pruned away will be destroyed and taken away. When Christ returns that tree will be given a good shaking, and all the dead wood will fall away as we enter into the Millennium age of His Kingdom.

Isaiah 27:11 "When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore He That made them will not have mercy on them, and He That formed them will shew them no favour."

When that dead wood has decayed away and shaken from the true branches, those things are good only to burn. God may turn his head at the ignorance of some period, but when that final time of this earth age comes, God is not going to show any mercy at those that stay ignorant at the coming of the false Christ. If you desire to be ignorant at that time, He will let you stay ignorant and even place a stupor over you spiritually to keep you from the truth. God has written His Word to you and I, and though many of the idioms and figure of speeches are in the Hebrew, we have the means to find out the true meanings today with the tools at our fingertips. We have Strong's Hebrew and Greek dictionaries, all numbered to the concordance of the King James Bible. There are many other sources today that also help us rightly divide the truth from His Word. The use of these idioms and expressions are given to simplify the spiritual things being taught. It is to make it easier for you to understand, and His Spirit will help you when you ask for that help.

Isaiah 27:12 "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel."

When it mentions "O ye children of Israel", we are talking about the tribes of Israel. You have the House of Judah, and the House of Israel, and then you have those outside of Israel that are brought into Israel through the adoption by the Father at repentance. The "beat off" does not mean what it appears on the surface. It means "to gather in", like one would gather in the fruit off an olive tree. It is that gathering one by one of each of the fruit from off that tree where ever they may be. God knows the good ones from the bad, and which ones belong to Him. He know those that are of the true branch, and those that are the dead wood, and He also knows those that He has grafted into the true olive tree.

Jesus said in John 15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me."

John 15:5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing."

John 15:6 "If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."

It is the Father that does the cutting away of dead branches, yet He goes to the extreme to gather in every last one of those that are His. The late fruit is the fruit is the fruit that stayed in the field working to the very end, and was not picked out of season by the false christ.

Isaiah 17:13 "And it shall come to pass in that day that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem."

This great trumpet that shall be blown is the seventh trumpet. Assyria as given here is a type of the Antichrist, he is the serpent that we talked about earlier. When Jesus Christ comes back at the seventh trumpet He will come to the holy mount, mount Zion in Jerusalem, and the people of the entire earth will come and worship Him there. It will be this same old earth, only a different dispensation, and earth age. We will not be in these flesh bodies when Christ comes, but we will all be changed into our new incorruptible bodies that will not age one day during that thousand year period.

In Isaiah 27 God has let us know of His love for us and that He intends to take care of the serpent and put him away for that thousand year Millennium period. He also committed to us that If we love Him, He will watch over us night and day and we have nothing to worry about, as long as you stay in His Word and produce fruit. That fruit can be many things in your following the instructions of His Word. It could be teaching, giving of your talents what ever they may be in the support of His Work. It even includes the planting of seeds of truth in the minds of men and women. God has stated that He is not angry at you but at His enemies, and did you notice that there was not one mention of any flying away in this Apocalypse of Isaiah? That is just as it is in the Apocalypse, or Revelation of John.

God gets to the point in this chapter when He says, "I correct those that I love, but don't blame Me for what your enemy does to you." Know the difference between the two, and know that when you are seeking God for your protection you will have it. When you are trying to build your own defenses by yourself, the enemy will get to you. The reason that God chastises His own people is that sin will be purged away from us and cleanse us from sin by our repentance. As long as you are in the flesh body, we will commit sins and that is why we must confess those sins when they happen. It is not a license to sin, but a freedom that we have in Christ, the freedom of the guilt of sin after we have repented.
