Jeremiah Chapter 30 "Restoration. Particular, the People." This Bible
Study is written by Roger Christopherson, and it's
transcription/ location is provided by http://www.theseason.org This chapter is addressed to those living in the latter days, and we will read in the final verse of this chapter, "in the latter days ye shall consider it." We are living in those end times, and the things written about those times are happening around us today. The one world system that will draw all nations to itself has now been functioning for the past fifty years, and is called the United Nations. God is instructing us what we shall do during this time, and there is not one word that would give anyone hope of any fly away of the saints. In fact quite the contrary. Chapter thirty has to do with the restoration of both houses, the house of Judah which is the tribe of Judah and Benjamin, mixed with some Levites, and a heavy mixture with the Kenites. They are the ones called the Jews of today. The other house is the house of Israel, and we know them today as the Christian nations around the world. The time will come very shortly when both of these houses will be joined together as one, as Ezekiel wrote about in Ezekiel 37:15-19. Ezekiel 37:19 "Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand." It will be wonderful time, and this event has not happened at this time. Jeremiah 30:1 "The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying," Jeremiah 30:2 "Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book." The book of Jeremiah is that Book that God told him to write. We are reading the instructions from God to us, through the pen of Jeremiah. Jeremiah 30:3 "For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it." These are two separate nation, the house or nation of Israel, and the house or nation of Judah. It was 722 B.C. when the ten tribes of the house or nation of Israel were scattered through the Caucasus Mountains, and migrated to the places where they now exist as a nation, and they have never returned. The other house or nation of Judah has in part returned to reestablish their tiny nation of Israel, but their protection comes from their brothers, of the house of Israel, the Christian nations of today. God tells us how we shall identify the house of Israel in the latter days in Hosea 1:10; "Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and It shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, `Ye are not my pPeople,' there it shall be said unto them, `Ye are the sons of the living God.' " God's Word is true, and the House of Israel has become that numerous down through the years. They have been scattered to where this house now covers most Europe, and the Americas, as well as many other areas. These people do not know their identity, and merely call themselves "Caucasians" after the migration event of their being scattered. It is in those places where those nations exist that they are known as the sons of the living God. Jesus Christ came out of the tomb, and defeated death; He is the "living God", and those that are said to be of Jesus Christ are called Christians. Friend, the Christian nations are the sons of the living God. Israel, which is the Christian nations will return to the land that God gave to their forefathers, and the two sticks of Israel and Judah will be joined. Though many look at this chapter as being historic, God is looking to the future, even to our time. How will they be held captive? God will hold them captive in their hearts through their love for the Heavenly Father. He will reveal their identity to them, and they will see that His love is true. Jeremiah 30:4 "And these are the words that the Lord spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah." By this time of study, you should be aware that God is addressing the Christian nations and the Jews separately. In much of the teaching given today, there is no separation in understanding between the two houses. So we are about to read of important events concerning these two houses from the mouth the living God, which will affect both the Jews and the Christian nations. Jeremiah 30:5 "For thus saith the Lord; "We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace." Remember that Jeremiah told those men and women of Judah, that were taken into captivity that they can be in peace while in captivity. Friend, this applies also to those of our day, going into the captivity of the Babylon of the Book of Revelation. We can live in peace while in the captivity of Satan's deception. God is saying, when I hear your voices in that day, they are voices "of trembling, of fear and not of peace." Jeremiah 30:6 "Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?" God is asking here, "Is it possible that a man can deliver a child?" Anyone know better then that, for a man doesn't have the womb or physical makeup to bear a child. What God is saying is that even the men look like they are in the pain of childbirth like the women. They are grabbing themselves like they are giving birth and having labor pains. My friend, it is up to you today whether you shall have the peace that God promised in these final days, or if you are going to look like one of these pale faces that has worked himself or herself into a travail the equivalent of a woman in childbirth. The time of the great tribulation, also known as the time of Jacob's trouble, can be a time of great blessings and one to look forward to. IF YOU WILL DO IT GODS WAY. Those that will have the trouble will be the ones that will listen to the Shemaiahs and the Hananiahs, the false prophets of our day. The pain that will exist will be in confusion and deception. Jeremiah 30:7 "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." God is talking about the "Lord's day", and on that great day that marks the end of Jacob's trouble, it will be a time like this old earth has never seen before and nor it ever see again. The time of Jacob's trouble has been shortened for the Elect of God's sake, and when it is all over, God will save them out of it. Jacob is the father of all the tribes, which comprise both houses [Israel and Judah], and when the final trump sounds there will be a joining of all the tribes back together. The time of Jacob's trouble is a time of correction, and it is a time that God shows His love for you by disciplining his children. When you reach the point where God doesn't correct you, then you have gone beyond the point of any touch with the Heavenly Father. You give the love to Him, to get the blessings in return, and you can not fool God, for He can read your mind and know your intent. Jeremiah 30:8 "For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:" This is again talking about the Lord's Day, the day of the coming of Jesus Christ. It is the time of the sounding of the seventh and final trump, when all men shall be changed to their spiritual bodies, and the kingdom of God is set up on this earth. We call that time the Millennium age that will run for one thousand years, and be a time of strict discipline and teaching. The false teachers will be gone, as well as Satan and his fallen angels. This is the day spoken of here. This is the end time and all flesh will be gone. Satan the Antichrist will have already ruled, and have been placed in the pit. This time has not happened yet, and that yoke of Babylon that started in Jeremiah's day will stretch all the way to the end of this earth age and will come to a close. That day is still in the future sense, in the very near future. Jeremiah 30:9 "But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them." This is what is going to happen on the first day of the Millennium age, and on that day every knee will bow to our Lord Jesus Christ, and call Him Lord, or they simply will not exist on this earth. They will be removed for this time, and held for the day of Judgment at the close of the Millennium age. "David their king" is to say, "the seed of David, which is the Messiah, Jesus Christ. We read of this return in Revelation 19:11-16. Revelation 19:11 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and He That sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war." Revelation 19:12 "His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself." Revelation 19:13 "And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God." Revelation 19:14 "And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean." Revelation 19:15 "And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." Revelation 19:16 "And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." The King of Kings and Lord of Lord's, Jesus Christ will gather his children back to Himself on that day, and that day is the second advent or coming of Christ. This is documenting the love of God for His children, and even those that allow themselves to be deceived in the day of Jacob's trouble. Jeremiah 30:10 "Therefore fear thou not, O My servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid." When Jacob's name is given, it is in reference to all the tribes of both houses, Israel and Judah. Though there be twelve sons of Jacob, there is thirteen tribes in all considering Joseph was given a double portion, through his two sons, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Jacob blessed the two boys and prophesied over them, Genesis 48:18-20. Genesis 48:18 "And Joseph said unto his father, "Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head." Genesis 48:19 "And his father refused, and said, "I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nation." Genesis 48:20 "And he blessed them that day, saying, "In thee shall Israel bless, saying `God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh:' " and he set Ephraim before Manasseh." God is going to save all the tribes, including these to of the seed of Joseph. God is saying I will save they from afar. There is nothing to be afraid of in the days of captivity of Nebuchadnezzar, nor of the Babylon of the book of Revelation, because God loves you, and His hand is able to protect you from what ever deceptions come upon the world. That protection is over you as long as you use common sense in all things when you are in His service. Jeremiah 30:11 "For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished." Friend, the time is coming for God's correction, when all of God's children will be given exactly what they deserve. Each person will will be given the rewards for their actions and words. To some it will be rewards, while to others it will end in great shame. When the punishment comes, whether in this flesh and blood body, or the time of the Millennium age, that is the time to thank the Father for His love for you to make the correction. You don't correct one that is not of your own, and when our Heavenly Father corrects you, it is because He considers you one of His. Jeremiah 30:12 "For thus saith the Lord, `Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous." This goes back to what the Jews were doing in the time of Jeremiah, as well as to the time of the end. The "bruise" is their sins, and what they are doing that is against the Word of God. Without the return of Messiah, it is impossible to heal the wound. The degree of the wound or sins that has come over the People of God, has never been so great. We see it in the complete disrespect for God, and the laws and morals that He gave us to guide our lives. The lack of respect of the children for their parents, and elders, and the disrespect for each other, has never reached such portions. It is only going to get worse, and God is telling us that it will not be cured until His coming. It is worse today then in any period of time from the creation of man. All prayer and moral teaching are being removed from the schools and from the homes, and with it many of the forms of disciplines. Without discipline and correction, there is no limit to the depth that man will sink, and it will continue until the coming of Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 30:13 "There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines." To put this in modern terminology, it seems that when you have a deadly wound, all anyone can do is dress it with a bandaid. The deadly would is coming when all nations will be done away with. This will be finally when Jesus Christ comes, and there will be only one kingdom in existence. You will either become a part of it, or you will not exist. We are talking about the second death here, the death of your soul. Jeremiah 30:14 "All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased." "Thy lovers" are your allies that you have found strength in numbers with. When it comes to the time of the end, they will not give one thought of you. God is saying that even though you are one of His children, He has still wounded you with the wound given to an enemy. Look around you today, on television and in the cities and town and see the cruelty present everywhere. No man is safe anywhere from the chastisement of the evil in the hearts of men and women. Even the children are losing all sense of what is right and wrong, as their basic teachings of morals and the laws and commandments of God are are being removed by the evil system taking control. What hurts God the most is man's disrespect to Him and His Word. God is in control today, just as He was in Jeremiah's day, when He called Nebuchadnezzar His servant. When you wonder why all this is coming to pass? the answer can only be, they asked for it. God warned them the curses that would come upon their cities and nation when they turned their backs to God, and they have. The results can only be the curses that God promised in Deuteronomy 28. Read those curses, all 68 verses of the bondage that would come, and it is like reading our daily newspapers. Our national leaders and even most people curse God daily, and most don't even believe there is a God. Their actions and words reveal this, but the time is coming when God will wake them up, and it will be to lake. Jeremiah 30:15 "Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee." As you cry out as the affliction grows worse, God will not listen to anything you have to say. He has given you His Word and you have completely turned your nose up at it. God is telling you that as you see the troubles multiply in your life, they are only going to increase, when you turn your back on Him, in disrespect for His commandments. Today the price of a life is becoming worthless, as from the top of our religious leaders to the heads of our government set forth to kill the unborn child, to the turning of their heads as children are gunned down in the streets, and die of drug overdoses. Life is becoming of no value, and our nation is doing it to ourselves. Jeremiah 30:16 "Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey." There is a time coming when the tables are going to be turned, and God will make everything right. Friend, nobody is getting away with anything, and all persons, or souls will be held accountable for what they have said or did in this flesh body. The end did come to the one world system of Nebuchadnezzar, and God made Babylon accountable for her actions taken on Judah. There is also a end coming to this earth age, the age of flesh and blood bodies, and all souls will be accountable at that time of the end. You don't have to wait for that time to come, because God is looking for a people to stop and think and use common sense to see the insanity that is going on today. God is telling you to come out of that confusion, or Babylon and become a useful tool for Him. Jeremiah 30:17 "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after." Those individuals that want to come to their senses and seek after the things of God, nobody wants them, but God does. Next time you feel like nobody cares about you, stop and think, for God does, He even went to the cross and suffered great pain, so that you could come to Him. He loves you. Jeremiah 30:18 "Thus saith the Lord; `Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof." All the tribes shall return at start of the Millennium age, and the dwelling places will become as they were before. The respect for the things of God shall return then, and the cities and palace shall be rebuilt on the very site of the old. At the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet, this old earth will undergo a great shaking, and the earth will become refreshed. It is then that all this shall come to pass with the return of Israel and Judah. This heap should remind us of what Jesus said would happen at the close of this earth age, in Matthew 24:2; "And Jesus said unto them, "See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." This is going to be a head of sand left where there use to be huge stones. This will come after Antichrist has sat on the mountain, claiming to be Christ, and this is also why God said that you better be more than a half a mile, one Sabbaths journey, for that mountain will be destroyed. You don't need wait for the Millennium age to get the full protection of God, you can have it now by turning to his Word, with a repentive heart, and believing on the Son of God, Jesus Christ. The promises that God gave to us are timeless, because He is the same today as He was yesterday, and he will be the same in eternity. God's Word never changes, He said this earth will change and the heaven will change, but My Word will never change. Jeremiah 30:19 "And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small." When Jesus Christ returns to this earth, those that seem Him will bow to Him and be happy for His return. This is something we are looking forward to with great joy. The number of God's children will be many, and on the first day of the Millennium age, every knee will bow to Jesus Christ. Though all will know Christ and be joyful of His return, in time, many will fall away from Him, and chose to return to fall back into sin. However those that do love Christ will be home with the Lord, and part of His kingdom established here on earth, not in some distant planet. We will have our eternal rewards, our incorruptible and immortal bodies, and joyfully we will serve our Lord. To those that worshipped the Antichrist, they will have to wait until after the thousand your Millennium age, and the judgment seat of Christ, to be judged then by only their works during the Millennium, and then they receive their immorality. It is beautiful to look forward to those times, and think of the joy and peace that we have when all the troubles and evil of this earth age are gone. Think of it, Jesus Christ will be here on earth, and those of His own can talk to Him and be glorify. The word "glorify" means "to promote to honor, to give charge over, and make noble." Number 3513 in the Strong's Hebrew dictionary, and these are the things that God will give to His elect on the first day of the Millennium age. Jeremiah 30:20 "Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them." The congregation is made up of all the souls that follow the Lord Jesus Christ, those that believe on His name and have repented in His name for their sins. These are those souls of men and women, boys and girls that have their names written in the Lambs book of Life, spoken of in Revelation 20:12. They are made up of not only of Israelites, but of the other races also, the ethnos that have repented in Jesus name, and cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 30:21 "And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD." This is in the form of a question. You have to be careful when you approach our Heavenly Father, if you are not in good standing with Him. Jesus Christ came to this world born of woman, of the virgin Mary. He came not as the king at this time, but to live and teach, then suffer at the hands of the Romans, and accused by the Kenite Jews. Jesus came to shed His blood for the sins of many, just as prophesied through-out the Word of God, from the very Garden of Eden, as recorded in Genesis 3:15. Now in the statement, "I will cause him to draw near", tells us that at the second advent our Heavenly Father will send His Son back to us of the reign of one thousand years. Revelation 20:6; "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years." It will be after that thousand years that Satan will be loosed again to deceive for a short season, and then the judgment. In Ezekiel 40-48 is a complete discussion how it will be during that Millennium age, and we see in Ezekiel 44 that only those that remain true to God in the time of the Great deception, will be able to approach our Lord Jesus Christ during the Millennium. Ezekiel is the most complete book on the Millennium age, even more then Revelation, or the rest of the Scripture combined. The Kenites will be a thing of the past, along with their merchandising, and worldly systems that have the people of the world in their clutches today. Jeremiah 30:22 "And ye shall be My People, and I will be your God." There will be no more false religions, and traditions made up by men, and idols made with hands. The only God that exists in that Millennium age is our Lord Jesus Christ. You will have full knowledge, and ability of thinking and reasoning, and all souls will know exactly who Jesus is. Yet there shall be some to reject Him in that age. Jeremiah 30:23 "Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked." On that day, the coming of the Lord will come forth with a cutting force and it shall fall on the heads of the wicked ones. We say in the first chapter of Ezekiel that God's throne came to earth in the form of a whirlwind, with no front or back, it was of the color amber, and it was a perfect circle. Ezekiel tried to describe this circular vehicle, and Jeremiah is saying that the Lord will return in a similar way. The wrath that God pours out on the word, you don't have to fear, but the same fire that consumes the evil of the earth, gives warmth to those that Love Him. It is the glory of God. Jeremiah 30:24 "The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until He have done it, and until He have performed the intents of His heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it." God will not withdraw the anger that He has set against those that are not of God, until the Word of God has come to pass. Every event of His Word shall come to pass exactly as it has been prophesied in the latter days, before His return. God is saying here that in the latter days we shall understand those prophesies that that are written. We will not only have the tools to figure out what the Word means, but we shall also witness those events taking place and understand what those events mean. Friend, we are in the latter days, and it is time to get down to studying His Word, to know the events that are taking place around us. The Nation of Israel being established was the planting of the shoot spoken of by Christ. That took place May 15, 1948, and from that day many of the end time prophecies have become history. The one world political system is not controlling the affairs of the nations of the world, and our schools are systematically removing God from the conscience of the children. The ten kings, or agencies of this political beast now control most of the elements of our life through their individual powers. Those powers are through agencies called the Red Cross, the World bank, Its military forces, The World court and all the rest of its controlling powers. Though we are in the Old Testament, God gave us the prophets to warn us to the things that would take place in the latter days of this earth age, that we would not be deceived by Satan the Antichrist when he or his systems come to power to rule the people of the earth. We are living in the generation of the "parable of the fig tree", and those bad figs [the Kenites] are living and breathing individuals we see today. This is why you should be aware of the very unusual times that we are in. It is not an accident, it is the Word of God being fulfilled before our very eyes.
