Jeremiah Chapter 7 "Exhortation; Disobedience; and Incrimination. (Shiloh)" This Bible Study is written by Roger Christopherson, and it's transcription/ location is provided by http://www.theseason.org We will continue to see in this seventh chapter where God is letting it be known through Jeremiah that He does not like the false priests putting forth their lives. We are going to get quite a bit of this in the entire book of Jeremiah, because it is the equivalency of the end times, it is a type set forth much like the false doctrine given to his children in the end times. They will be told, just like they were in Jeremiah's day, "it is not going to happen, Jerusalem will not fall, we are not going into captivity." When God had already told them that they would be in captivity for seventy years. When God states it, He means it without repentance, friend, you can count on it happening. So we saw in chapter six, God told Jeremiah to go and assay the people like you would smelt silver and gold, spiritually, and when Jeremiah did, all he got was the impurity of the slag. There was no gold and silver among the people, spiritually, no one knew the Word of the Lord, to where they could be depended on to be servants of God, and able to warn others, and be leader in the deceptions of the times. We are to have a working knowledge of God's overall plan, and it is not that difficult to understand, even a child can understand it. Jeremiah 7:1 "The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying," This leaves no doubt who is speaking here, it is God the Father himself. Jeremiah 7:2 "Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD." God is telling all the house of Judah, all that come into the house of the Lord to listen to what He is going to say. Jeremiah is not to go into the temple and say this, but to stand theer at the entrance, the door of the temple; stand there and point to them as they enter and tell them what I am going to tell you. You give this warning to them. Friend, when you go to your church house today, you can give this same warning today, God's warning is just as true today as it was then. God never changes He is angry at those who prefer traditions over His Word. Jeremiah 7:3 "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place." Remember back in the last chapter? There wasn't an ounce of silver or gold, in all of it. It is no different today. If you are wallowing in the traditions of men, He is telling you to turn from them. God can protect His own on an individual basis, wherever they are. It doesn't matter how rough the going gets in this world today, where apostasy is running wild, where men and women would rather talk of their own thoughts, rather then what God had to say. God is telling you personally to mend your ways. It starts with you, and when you do, God will take car of you. When you do, He will bless you in this troubled world in many ways. The key to mending your ways is to understand His Word, know His plan and what He expects of you. That is to know Him, love Him, trust Him, and Hear Him when He speaks to you. Jeremiah 7:4 "Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these." How many times have you heard, "it's the church, it's the denomination", and over and over, they run to their church houses for their protection. God is giving it three times to let us know how He does not like His people to reply on their church houses for support, rather then relying upon Him. They look at the building, and give some mystical power to that structure, rather then having a personal touch, and listening to God Himself. The church likes to be so religious as they spout, the church, the church the church in repetition. God is saying listen to me, hear what I have to say because the church, the Temple can go bad. We know that in the times of Nehemiah the church had gone bad, and in the days of Christ is when it was so bad that it even crucified our Lord. And especially in this day you have to be very careful wherever you worship. Don't get your eye on the building, and material and social things, rather than on the Lord. Jeremiah 7:5 "For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;" God is saying that if you will just be fair with eachother, and do it my way. God had instructed us how to resolve differences rather than going to court. Get a Christian arbitrator to hear both sides, and work it out, and then God said He will bless you, and bless you. Be fair in all your dealings. Jeremiah 7:6 "If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:" If you want to know what will really hurt you, just walk after the traditions of men, and the god that it represents. That god is the first savior that sets foot on this earth very soon, he is the instead of christ, the "Antichrist". God has made very clear that through all the prophets, as well as every on of His disciples, and Jesus Christ himself, that the first christ to come is a fake, and that the entire world will whore after him, and go into the captivity of his deceptions and lying wonders. This time of Jeremiah is a perfect example of that time, and it will be like that again in our generation. This message is talking to each of living today, in our generation. Jeremiah 7:7 "Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever." We know from Ezekiel 16 that when Jerusalem was founded, it was called "Jebus", and was built at first by the Jebusites. David conquered it, and He cleaned it up and called it Jerusalem. God told us there that it was His favorite spot on earth, and He took Jerusalem to wife, geographically speaking. Jerusalem will be His home forever, when He returns upon the earth at the seventh trumpet. Jeremiah 7:8 "Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit." In other words, if you go into that temple and swear by it, rather then the living God, you will hear lying words. There is nothing more important then teaching, and studying the Word of God as it ought to be taught, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Those one verse pastors are robbing you of your spiritual wealth. Why would you invest and entire hour, and get only one verse of study from God, and then all that other nonsense that follows after? Jeremiah 7:9 "Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;" "Adultery" here is in the text. God is asking you, would you commit these acts of spiritual murder, steal and swearing falsely to other gods or traditions and doctrines that are of Baal, and then expect God to bless you? If God never answers your prayers, have you stopped to wonder why those prayers are not being answered? Why would he want to, if you are chasing after all the things that go against God's Word? It is according to whether you are in good standing with Him, rather than the traditions of men. Christianity is not a religion, it is a reality in the life you live. Jeremiah 7:10 "And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?" These people that Jeremiah was preaching to, did not understand what they were doing in their temple worship, and the traditions that they were following. This is also obvious today, that most Christians today also don't know what they are doing in their church houses. Many of the things that they do and say is an abomination to God. They did it by their traditions of men, and they call it of God. Added Note: Just to name a few: They call Passover - Easter, selling books, pies, foods, etc., musical entertainment and programs, fellowship rather than reverence to God, honoring members rathere God the Father, bingo parties for fund raising. They refuse to study their Bibles to see what the Lord has to say. They do all these things in the name of the God the Father. They do it because they have been taught generation after generation, until it is accepted as being of God, when in fact it is an abomination unto God. The heathen customs, and traditions of worship to pagan gods have worked their way even into the holiest of God's times and teachings. Then, when they do it, they do it as a part of their church. Jeremiah 7:11 "Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD." That is what Christ did when He walked into that Temple, and He was angry (as is obvious from the Greek), when He looked about the Temple. And the next day He returned, and on the way there He cursed that fig tree to give us the lesson of the two baskets of fruit that would be in Jerusalem in our generation. Matthew 21:12-13 "And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, [12] And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.[13]" Those men of the house of Judah went to those Kenite merchants to get their mite infested doves, so they could give their deporable gifts to God. Who do they think that God was, some kind of blind fool? That is the same mentality of most church houses, and the people that worship there today, when they think their short cuts of men's traditions of the dove will please God. When Christ entered that temple of depravity, He cleaned it out real good, with the cat of nine tails, turning over their tables, and running the rascals out. There was nothing gentle about it. He drove them out in anger. Friend, that needs to be done today in a spiritual sense, in the minds of those that desire to worship in God's house. Jeremiah 7:12 "But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel." This is kind of what was said in Jeremiah 4, when God said if you don't think I will do it again, look how I shook this world once before. God said, I named Shiloh, (which means "place of rest"), and Jerusalem (which means "the habitation of rest"). Do you understand why God destroyed their rest there? Because the sons of Eli went off to war, and allowed the "ark of the covenant" to be taken away from them by the Philistines, they were killed there. They turned against God's actual plan of battle, and turned to idolatry. God's battle against Satan in this generation is what is written in His Word. God is telling us that if we think that we can turn our backs on His plan of battle against Satan in this generation, we had better take another look back at Shiloh, and what He did there. Eli himself died when he heard about it, he fell over backwards, as recorded in I Samuel 4:15-18. 1 Samuel 4:15 "Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see." 1 Samuel 4:16 "And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?" 1 Samuel 4:17 "And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken." 1 Samuel 4:18 "And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years." Friend, if you want to go against God's spiritual battle plan, you had better take another look at Shiloh, for Eli the prophet himself died, when that battle plan was departed from. The daughter in law of Eli started to give birth at that time immediately, and she recognized what had taken place. She knew that they were not entering a new age, but that God had departed from them. 1 Samuel 4:19 "And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her." 1 Samuel 4:20 "And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it." 1 Samuel 4:22 "And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. 1 Samuel 4:22 "And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken." The glory of God was gone from Israel, and God had withdrawn Himself from her. Why? Because they had not followed the plan of God. Friend, you can make it good on yourself and follow His ways, aor you can be like the others. Jeremiah 7:13 "And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;" God gave the people of Jeremiah's day the prophets to tell them what He desired of them, and those warnings are in effect today as they were then. God has given you every chance to understand His Word, but most so called Christians of today refuse to read and believe the warnings that those servants of God gave. The Bible is in most every home in our country, and the warnings are covering the air-waves, yet people don't want to listen, and when the call goes forth, they won't answer. Jeremiah 7:14 "Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh." God is saying that because you trust not in the living God, but the house, He is going to do what he did to Shiloh. Remember what Jesus said, when asked about the temple? Matthew 24:1-2 "And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.[1] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."[2] It will have to be cleansed, for the Antichrist, Satan will have sat there claiming to be God, and to most Christians the stumblingblock will be that they will think that Satan is Jesus. What God did to Shiloh for their wickeness and turning from Him, will happen also at the end of this earth age which is coming very shortly upon our generation. Jeremiah 7:15 "And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim." The "whole seed of Ephraim" are the ten tribes called the house of Israel. God cast out the ten tribes, with the help of the Assyrians, and they fled over th caucasus mountains, and later picked up the name "Caucasians" today, and settled Europe, the Americas, and around the world, known today as Christians. The Prophet Hosea wrote of what would happen to them, and how God would divorce them. He wrote in Hosea 1:10, Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, "Ye are not My people, there it shall be said unto them, "Ye are the sons of the living God". They are going to call themselves Christians, but they are of Israel, and they are too ignorant to even know who they are. Well God is telling the house of Judah, that just as He has cast the seed of Ephraim to where they don't know who they are, so also will they be cast from Him. The Caucasians don't know who they are, and in ignorance the House of Israel tries to give their inheritance to the House of Judah, and say that they are with their infiltrated kenites with them is in the neighborhood of nineteen million people. This is not as numerous as the stars of the heaven and the sands of the sea. How much do you know of your Father's Word? God is saying that He is going to do to you individually, exactly as He has done to the House of Israel [Ephraim]. Judah didn't believe Jeremiah and they also went into captivity, and so will you at the coming of the Antichrist, which will be very soon. Jeremiah 7:16 "Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee." Those spiritual cry babies that babbles their prayers, and continue in their traditions just don't get it; God is not going to answer their prayers, as long as they continue in their traditions and false doctrines. They keep crying out, the church, the church, and what do they do in that church? Are they getting the full Word of God, from beginning to end, from Genesis 1:1 to the final; "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen", of Revelation 21:22. If you are not getting the full Word of God, then you are getting tradition. You may say that everyone is doing it, and that is exactly what God is saying. Everyone is turning their minds to tradition, and away from His Word. Jeremiah 7:17 "Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?" God's plan of the end of this age started from the setting out of the fig tree of this generation in 1948. There has been so much prophecy revealed before our eyes daily that God's people should be happy that His Word has come true as they were prophecied. Jeremiah 7:18 "The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger." Can you better understand what Jesus said in Mark 13:14, "But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought nout, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea, flee to the mountains." When you see the desolator, Satan, standing in the place in Jersalem where he should not be, you had better get out of Judaea. Daniel was talking about the daily oblation, which was the taking of the Holy Communion with the little cake. It would cease in the middle of the week, because the desolator, the Antichrist would be standing in Jerusalem, and all the Christians would be taking Communion with him, all that is, except for the elect [sealed] of God. This "queen of heaven" is Ishtar, and she is the queen of the Easter festival. They have nothing to do with the blood of Christ, and the crucifixion. Christians have turned their back on the "Passover", and run to the festival to the queen of Ishtar, with all their finest clothes, the bonnets, and easter eggs and baskets. They bring on all the rights of that heathenistic practice of the fertility rights, and the Passover is set on the back burner. This is why God says, "they may provoke Me to anger". This has come to pass not by accident, but because the Kenites that control them have set up their heathenistic practices. The traditions that are practiced are laid out in their Kenite quarterly church reports, which come from the ideas of men, which are set forth upon the congregation, and not God. Who writes your quarterlies? Do you know who they are and where they came from? Get back to God's Word and away from those planned quarterlies of traditions. Jeremiah 7:19 "Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?" They do what they do, because it is what they see others do, and they think it is alright. God doesn't like it. Jeremiah 7:20 "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched." God is telling you not to pray for them, and for God to intercede, when their minds are fixed on their heathen religious form, and traditions. God will not intercede for them in their stupidity, until they make the first step into getting back into the Word of God, and listen to what His plan has to say. The final burning and doing away with all evil rudiments has not come to pass yet. However, God will not allow that evil organization to produce fruit for Him. Though they sing of joy and happiness in the Lord, you can tell that it just isn't so. The joy of the Lord is not there, and what you see is a pretense. They carry the "stigma" of the mark of the beast right there in their brain, they are deceived, and they just don't know it. This is what Paul wrote about in Romans 11:8-9, "(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.[8] And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:[9] Romans 11:10-11 "Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.[10]I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.[11]" A stupor has come over them, and they would rather listen to traditions, rather then listen to God. They will even worship heathen practices and Baal, which is to say the false christ. [that stumbling block of David]. You will either know God's Word, or you will worship the Antichrist. It is absolute. Knowing God's Word is the sealing that will protect you from Satan's deceptions, and God will turn all other over to Satan, and his scorpion like army to sting all the rest. Jeremiah 7:21 "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh." Here again is the full title of God; "Lord of hosts, the God of Israel". In other words, don't bring that fat bull in here and try to cook it, and give it to me, you eat it. You eat your own filthy religious rituals, and traditions. Don't present that filth to me and expect me to bless you for it. God doesn't want them. He does not want your little round cakes made to the goddess of the heaven, Ishtar. Jeremiah 7:22 "For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:" Why? Because Christ would replace all sacrifice and burnt offerings. God's orders were not about strict rituals and daily oblations, they were about what is stated in the next verse. Jeremiah 7:23 "But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you." Do you get it? God's command was that His people "Obey my voice, and I will be your God". God wants you to "obey my voice, and I shall be your God, and ye shall be my people." He wants you to walk in all the ways that He has commanded us to do in His Word, for then it may be well unto you. That isn't hard to understand. He has sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross so that when we do fall short of those commanded ways, we can repent and get right with Him again. God promised that when we do, He will answer our prayers, and bless our ways, and our family, and give us the right to pray a prayer of intercession for loved ones. let them, just keep saying, my church, my church or whatever other sprouting they utter. Jeremiah 7:24 "But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward." They went back to heathenism and the traditions of men. After time passes, people fall into their little habits of custom and traditions. It isn't important what your father or grandfather did, what is important is what does God's Word say about it. Don't be locked in by traditions. This isn't aimed at those special things with the family, it is aimed at religious traditions that don't check out with the Word of God. Jeremiah 7:25 "Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:" What has God done this for us in this generation? He has given us those same prophets and servants of God, from old, who are given to us daily, in our Bible. It is our responsibility to take the Bible and read what those prophets have recorded for us today. Jeremiah 7:26 "Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers." Just like in Jeremiah's day, the people of God prefer not to hear the Word from God, nor do they want to know God's truth. There is no difference from the generation in the wilderness coming out of Eygpt, as there was in Jeremiah's day, it is the same in our generation today. It seems that as time passes each of the generations get worse than their fathers. Look around you today. Jeremiah 7:27 "Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee." God is commanding Jeremiah and all those that call themselves teachers and ministers of today, "Thou shalt speak these words unto them," even though they will not listen to you, and answer you, speak it anyhow. That means the entire Word of God. Jeremiah 7:28 "But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth." The only thing that comes from their mouth is perversion. Jeremiah 7:29 "Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath." In case you were wondering what generation this message was aimed at, it was aimed at the generation of "His wrath". God's wrath hasn't spilled over yet, but it will very shortly, it is aimed at our generation. The generation that gets the full brunt of God's wrath is the last generation, and it is the generation of today. The generation of the parable of the fig tree started in May 1948, and will end when Jesus Christt comes at the sounding of the last and final trump. The warnings of this chapter was written to you and I living in this generation, and God is not happy with the tradtitions and the evil ways of the people. God grafted in the Gentiles into the family of God, and then they turn to evil traditions that God says that He hates. They turn their eyes from God and His Word, and onto their temple and the traditions that men spout within that house. We will see in Jeremiah 24 what is meant by the good figs and the bad figs; the good churches and the bad churches. The churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia were the only two types of churches that Christ said were acceptable to Him. Not by title, and by the content that they taught from the Word of God. Jeremiah 7:30 "For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it." Remember that the king of Babylon was about to make his move on Jerusalem and the House of Judah. God gave Judah many prophecies to warn them what would happen to them if they did not return to Him, and they would not listen to those prophets of old. Those prophecies were given as an example to our generation, as we saw in the prior verse, showing us what warnings to give, as we keep alert and watch for the signs that come upon us. God is going to come down hard on all those that establish a house or church, and call it by His name, yet never get past the spiritual milk of the Word. They leave the flock spiritually undefended from the spiritual warfare that Satan, the Antichrist is about to bring upon them. Remember that Christ himself went to that house and overturned the tables and threw the rascals out. He tried to change the Temple to a house of prayer, but they killed Him for that attack on their traditions. Not only had it become a mite infested place, but even worse was the teachings of those Kenite leaders, and their traditions. Jeremiah 7:31 "And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart." "Tophet" in the hebrew text in the Strong's Hebrew Dictionary is #8613, means "a place of heat or cremation", and it is also a place of contempt. It was a place where they made their burnt sacrifices in the valley of Hinnom. They burned their sons and their daughter in sacrifices, against what God had instructed. In fact "the thought of that never entered my mind". Think of all the things today that people do, evil things, and they do it all in the name of religion. Even in this day it goes on, as we see that people are so ill prepared for the end times. This is because of what is taught in those church houses concerning prophecy, or the lack of it, that they create the things in their mind and attribute it to God. Many ministers of today know so little about the Word that they tell others not to read Revelation, and other parts of the scriptures concerning the coming of Antichrist, and the close of this earth age. Friend, of all times that ever existed, our generation had better know the signs of the end times, and the teachings of the Word concerning it, or they will be decieved by those ignorant pastors that the Spirit of God has not touched. They simply do not know the events that are going to bring those abominations into the houses of God. Things like teaching people to fly to the false messiah, such as the so called rapture doctrine. So how do you pick a church house to study with? First, never choose a group that tells you that they must do your thinking for you. Secondly, never pick a group that tells you that only they can be the ones that interpret the Word of God, or if they never teach you how to study God's Word for yourself. The true teacher of God's Word always teaches you how to think for yourself. When the Word is taught correctly, the Holy Spirit of God will give unction to the hearer to think and understand for themselves. When the Word is fed into your mind, you can immediately tell if it is God, or a lie by what and how it is taught. Also be careful of any church that places their own requirement on you before you can take of the communion of Christ. The only requirement is your faith in Jesus Christ, and your repenting attitude before the Lord. That is between you and God, and no one else. You must go by the restrictions and commandments that God has placed on you not on things, that any man or group of men have set upon you. Their systems become an abomination unto God. Jeremiah 7:32 "Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place." This "valley of the son of Hinnom" is very much a part of the New Testament. It is called the "Valley of Geenna, gheh'-en-eh, "from Strong's Greek Dictionary #1067. It is "the valley of hell, or punishment". God is saying that these ministers like to send people to tell their children that they are going to hell and burn forever, they had better lookout. They are not a judge on such matters, and their words can be turned on them. Children are only loaned to parents, don't try to use God as the whipping boy for your children, because you set their minds against their true Father. God created their very soul and mind, and He loves them and desires their love. He undersands their very thoughts. This is what it is talking about here. This then is referring to the time Jesus talked about Matthew 24, when He said that this place would be cleansed. This is the time following the appearence of the false messiah, and during that time when Christ said that not one stone would be left standing atop another, at His return, when that place will be cleansed for the Millennium temple. Jeremiah 7:33 "And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away." There will be no main left to fight off the wild animals and buzzards on that day, for all flesh shall be changed in the wink of an eye. It is the same place Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:27-28; Matthew 24:27-29 "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.[27] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.[28] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:[29] Jeremiah 7:34 "Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate." When this does happen those people will not think it is so funny then. The Bridegroom is Christ, and the bride is the elect of Christ of God, that were not deceived. You are not going to hear Christ beckoning for men to come unto Him anymore. The bride will not be there when the desolator takes over to worship him, and all those that are selaed in their minds the true words of God will be turned over to Satan by God for him to have his way with them. At that time Satan, the Antichrist, "son of perdition", will be standing in the holy place claiming to be Christ, as Paul stated in II Thessalonians 2:2,3. The land will be desolate from the truth, as all people living under Satan's rule will feel that there will be some great fly-away, which is a lie, and it will cause great shame to come upon them at the return of Christ. It will cause many people to fall because they simply don't know the chronological order of events that is stated throughout the New Testament, as well as the Old Testament. That the false messiah, the son of perdition is coming first.
