THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO Chapter 23"Jesus Christ Lead to Trial.
[1 - 23]" This
Bible Study is written by Roger Christopherson, and it's
transcription/ location Luke 22 ended with this band of religious Kenite leaders in their Sanhedrin council planning to drum up charges against Jesus, so they can kill Him. They slapped Jesus around, called Him names and tried to belittle him in front of everyone. After they mocked Him, spit upon Him, and blasphemed Jesus, they tried to question Him to make Him say something worthy of death. When Jesus would not give them what they desired, they all agreed together that they heard Jesus say something that He did not say. So on these trumped up charges of lies, this tribe of religious Kenite leaders figured that with everyone sticking to their lies, Pilate was dumb enough to follow their wishes, and murder Jesus for them. Remember that this is exactly what it is, Murder by these Jews. Causing an innocent man to be crucified on false charges. However, we must also keep in mind who is doing the crucifying? Why it is being done, and where it is taking place? This is important for every act that is done and the words of the people were prophesied hundreds of years prior, and it was no accident that Jesus went to the cross. After these Kenites in their Sanhedrin council asked Jesus, "Art thou then the Son of God?" Jesus answered them; "Ye say that I am." or "That's what you said.". They took that for what they wanted to hear, and recorded that to be yes. verse 71; "And they said, "What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of His own mouth." This last statement of theirs was a lie. Luke 23:1 "And the whole multitude of them arose, and led Him unto Pilate." This whole multitude of religious people are leading Jesus, the Son of God over to Pilate, so Pilate can crucify Jesus on their trumped up charges. Out in front of the mob were the chief priests, with all the scribes and elders trailing. This was that rag-tag army that came with Judas to the mount of Olives, and they are now on their way to see Pilate, the Roman governor. These people have murder in their heart and they want to kill Jesus, and innocent man. They have been trying to Murder Jesus from the very start of Jesus' ministry and He opened the light to their traditions, and that these leaders were not of the Levitical priesthood, nor of Abraham, as they claimed. They were of their father Satan, and the lineage of Cain, as Jesus had pointed out in John 8:44, and many times Jesus warned His disciples of the scribes and Pharisee, and these chief priests. The scribes took over the duties of the priests in the records and handling of the Word of God when the House of Judah was in captivity in Babylon as is recorded in I Chronicles 2:55. I Chronicles 2:55 "And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez [Jerusalem], the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab." In the time of David and Solomon the Kenites came into the Temple as wood cutters, but from 990 to 509 B.C. They had taken over the temple completely, from top to bottom. By the time of Jesus birth and ministry, their traditions had replaced the Laws and ordinances of Moses, as these Kenites presented themselves as the Levitical priesthood of Aaron. This is what Jesus brought to light, that they were not of Aaron, or Abraham, or Levi, but Orientals, the sons of Cain, "Kenites of the house of Rechab that came from Hemath." To these Kenite religious leaders; by Jesus revealing their true identity, and the things Jesus said about their traditions, deserved death. Satan is death, and Jesus revealed that they were of the lineage of Satan through Cain. Ezra 8:15 "And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the People, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi." By Ezra's time about 404 B. C. there was not one Levite priest returning to Jerusalem to build the temple and set up practice and worship there. So how were they going to worship as God instructed, by the instruction of Levitical priests? John 8:43, 44 "Why do ye not understand My speech: even because ye cannot hear My word." [43] "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He [Cain] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it [lying]." Remember that Jesus was speaking to the scribes, Pharisee, and chief priests here face to face. Once we see what Jesus revealed of this secret society of Kenites, how they lie and twist the truth, it becomes easy to understand why this band of religious leaders are out for Jesus' blood. They have the same mindset as Cain their father had when he slew Abel his brother back in the Garden of Eden. So keep this in mind as we continue here in Luke 23. God allowed these people to remain to fulfill the negative part of His plan, for Jesus will become the perfect sacrifice, as these Kenites lead Jesus to be slaughtered to be the innocent sacrificial Lamb, for our sins of one and all times. Luke 23:2 "And they began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forgidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ a King." The Word in the Greek text used for "Perverting" is "Agitating", a trouble maker. There are three serious charges here, the first being Sedition, the second refusing to pay tribute to Caesar, and the third being claiming kingship over Roman territory. If these accusations were true, all three would be serious. To see how these religious types were lying and distorting the truth; Remember when Jesus was asked by a Pharisee what He thought about paying taxes? He took a coin and pointed to Caesar's picture on it, and then said "pay to Caesar what is due Caesar". In other words, pay your taxes. There could be no doubt as to what Jesus had said, and yet these people are lying to say just the opposite. Jesus was innocent of all three of these counts. Luke 23:3 "And Pilate asked Him, saying, "Art Thou the King of the Jews?" And He answered him and said, "Thou sayest it." Jesus never claimed to be King of the Jews, for mixed in with the tribe of Judah are a large percentage of Kenites, Satan's kids, those children of the lineage of Cain that took over the duties of priests and scribes, as we read in I Chronicles 2:55. Jesus' claim through prophesy was that He would be the King over all Israel, but His Kingdom would not come until the end of this earth age. However Jesus never made any statement concerning a kingship. He came the at the first advent, as a baby, born to the Virgin Mary, and lying in a manger. Jesus first coming was as at servant, and teacher. His second advent or coming will be as the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. So as Pilate is asking Jesus again, "Art Thou the King of the Jews?", again Jesus said, "Thou sayest it." You said it, not me. Pilate had a little more intelligence than that entire pack of murderers trying to kill Jesus. He heard Jesus and knew immediate-ly what Jesus was saying. He did not say that He was the King of the Jews. Luke 23:4 "Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, "I find no fault in this Man." Remember that this chief priest is not one appointed by God, but the Roman governor appointed a man to sit over the Temple are report to him. It was a political position, so taking that in mind, we see that his traditions are more important to these Kenite religious leaders, than the Word of God; The Laws of Moses. As a priest, this man is a fraud, not of the Levitical priesthood of Aaron, but of the lineage of Cain. Luke 23:5 "And they were the more fierce, saying, "He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place." This subject is a geographical location, and thus it is not talking about a religious order. In the context of what was said in the Greek, it was Judaea. Luke 23:6 "When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the Man were a Galilean." Pilate is looking for a way out of doing the killing for these band of Kenite religious leaders. It is written in Matthew 27:19; "When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, "Have nothing to do with that just Man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of Him." So we see Pilate is looking for a way out of making any judgment of Jesus. His wife had a vision in a dream from an angel, and the angel told her to tell her husband not to have anything to do with this man Jesus. We also know that some of the government officials were believer of Jesus and His teaching, and that also could be a part of why Pilate doesn't want to make a judgment. Luke 23:7 "And as soon as he knew that He belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time." Herod's jurisdiction was over the area of Judaea called Galilee, and when Pilate heard that Jesus was from Galilee. Herod was in Jerusalem at this time, for the next days is the time of the Passover feast. Luke 23:8 "And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see Him of a long season, because he had heard many things of Him; and he hoped to have seen some miracles done by Him." Herod's land was all Galilee, and that is where Jesus had been living for three years teaching and healing people. Jesus taught five thousand men at one time and four thousand another. He Healed the sick, brought back people from the dead, and by this time had thousands of followers. Everyone by this time had heard of Jesus and His Works and teaching. Yes, Herod was anxious to see and talk with Jesus. He was expecting Jesus to put on a side show. Luke 23:9 "Then he questioned with Him in many words; but He answered him nothing," Herod questioned Jesus at length, but Jesus said nothing in return. Isaiah pro-phesied of this in Isaiah 53:7; "He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth." When the Sanhedrin brought Jesus before their councils, and witnesses one after another lied against Him, Jesus opened not His mouth. When Pilate brought Jesus into his chambers and questioned Him, Jesus stood there like a sheep before its shearers is dumb, and Jesus openeth not His mouth. When Jesus was brought to Herod, who questioned Him with may words, and He answered him nothing. Jesus offered no defense for Himself at any time, and that is why it is important for you and I as Christians to know why Jesus kept His mouth shut. As the minutes are passing by at this so-called trial, centuries of prophesy are being fulfilled to the letter. Luke 23:10 "And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him." These chief priests and scribes stood and continued accusing Jesus after Pilate and Herod said, "I find no fault in Him." Sure they will get their murderous blood of Christ, but it was Satan's and his children, these Kenite religious leaders, the chief priests and scribes biggest mistake in crucifying Christ. For in Jesus death, the door was opened to place the final sentence on Satan's head. Satan is death, as we read in Hebrews 2:14. Hebrews 2:14 "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." Luke 23:11 "And Herod with his men of war set Him at nought, and mocked Him, and arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him again to Pilate." After Herod tried to get Jesus to talk, he found it impossible, so Herod and his soldiers put this fine robe of royalty on Jesus and made fun of Him before they sent Jesus back to Pilate. Luke 23:12 "And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves." Before Jesus entered into Jerusalem, these two did not like one another, and there was trouble and conflict between Pilate and Herod. Now that Jesus is before them, they both find pleasure in mocking Jesus, and they now have something in common. Luke 23:13 "And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people." Luke 23:14 "Said unto them, "Ye have brought this Man unto me, as One That perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined Him before you, have found no fault in this Man touching those things whereof ye accuse Him:" Pilate is calling these Kenite religious leaders a pack of liars. Pilate was a good judge, experienced as a Roman governor in the law, and he questioned Jesus and found that those things that Jesus was accused of, He was innocent. This word "perverteth" in the Greek text is "apostrepho", meaning to "turn away". The point here is that the chief priests told Pilate that Jesus was causing the people "to turn away" from Rome, from Caesar. Luke 23:15 "No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto Him." Pilate is telling these Kenite religious leaders that I even set Jesus to Herod, and he found nothing worth of death in Jesus. It is obvious from secular writings, such as certain documents that Pilate wrote, that he looked Jesus over very good. The best description of what Jesus looked like, left in the history books, is by Pontus Pilate. Pilate did not want to kill Jesus for he liked Jesus. Pilate thought that if he just beat Jesus up a bit, the people would change their minds and want Jesus freed. Luke 23:16 "I will therefore chastise Him, and release Him." You chastise someone by taking the whip to him. Pilate's orders to his soldiers was to draw a little blood on His back. Luke 23:17 "(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)" Every year at the Passover feast time, the Roman government always released on prisoner back to the people. This allow the Romans and people of Judaea to keep peace between the two of them. Luke 23:18 "And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this Man, and release unto us Barabbas:" "Barabbas", is an Aramaic word, meaning "son of a distinguished father." In that Barabbas was a murderer, he was a son of Satan. So the public is given a choice, to release the "Son of God", or the "son of a murderer" [Barabbas]. So the people are making a choice between God and Satan, and the Kenites that have taken over at this time are yelling to crucify Jesus. If you put just a few men in a crowd with one thing in mind, to stir up that crowd; those people will turn into a mob in a very short time. The Kenites are experts in mob control, and working a mob into their wishes. God is letting you know here that these people had a choice, and they chose to be worked over by the Kenites, and follow Satan's leadership. They chose the son of Satan over the Son of God, Jesus. Luke 23:19 "(Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)" This is talking about Barabbas, he was found guilty of not only murder, but causing an uprising against Rome. Yet these Kenite Jews would rather release Barabbas, and send Jesus to the cross. Luke 23:20 "Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus spake again to them." Pilate knows what trouble Barabbas brought on Jerusalem, and that he was just no good. Pilate did not want this murdering man released back into the population. Luke 23:21 "But they cried, saying, "Crucify Him, crucify Him." Luke 23:22 "And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go." Pilate is now pleading for the third time for the people to change their minds. And they would not change their minds. Pilate just could not understand why they wanted Jesus dead. Quite obviously, Pilate did not know the character of these Kenites that were leading the mob at his doorsteps. In the eye of Satan, the prince of darkness, and his little children, the Kenites yelling "crucify Him"; they were taking back control of that seat that Satan wanted, and this tribe of darkness wanted Jesus dead. Satan had a death sentence hanging over his head, and he wanted Jesus out of the way. Ezekiel 28:18 "Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee." This death sentence will be carried out at the close of the Millennium age of Christ's thousand year kingdom here on earth. It will be following the great white throne judgment, and by these Kenites killing Jesus on the cross, they sealed this judgment against their father Satan. This controversy started back in the first earth age when Satan rebelled against God, and one third of the angels followed Satan. God brought that first earth age to a close with the shaking and destroying of all life off the entire earth. Then brought about this second earth age [starting with Genesis 1:3, whereby each soul would be born into this age through the womb of woman, and have a choice to chose for themselves, Jesus or Satan.] Here before Pilate, these people are following the lead of these Kenites, and choosing Satan. So Pilate was in a bind, for as the governor from Rome, his duty was to keep the peace between Rome and the citizens of Jerusalem. Pilate knew that he could not afford to let this mob get out of hand to the point of bringing in the soldiers. Pilate knew that the problems that take place in Jerusalem will be reviewed in Rome, and Caesar would pay attention to the way he handles it; this will go on his record. Luke 23:23 "And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that He might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed." So here we see that the cause of Jesus Christ going to the cross, is at the hands of the religious community. The Kenite scribes and chief priests acted together for work the crowd into a mob, and the threat of that mob cause Pilate to yield to their loud voices, "Crucify Him, Crucify Him." What kind of a blood thirsty religious community does it take to demand the life of Jesus, an innocent man? This is why it is important to get into our minds just who these Kenites are. The fact that they are not of Abraham, but of Satan and Cain, their fathers is important. This is why we must pay attention to what ever religious community we attach ourselves to in these end times. Jesus warned us in Luke 21, that in these end times there would be many false teachers coming and presenting themselves as being Christians, and teaching a word, but it would not be His Word. If those men and women are not teaching the Word of God, as it is given in the Word of God, Christ did not send them. If they are peddling their traditions of men, and false doctrine, Our Lord did not send them. If what they teach does not check out with the Word of God, then Jesus Christ did not send them. The Scriptures laid out the order of events that would being this earth age of flesh man to a close, and if any teaching goes against that order of the sounding of God's trumpets, then that teacher is a false prophet. If you claim to be a Christian it is a very dangerous time to be deceived, for if you bow to the false Christ that comes first, you will become Satan's wife and part of His Babylon harlot church. False teachers can do a lot of harm. Learn to study for yourself. Luke 23:24 "And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required." Pilate tried to change these religious leaders mind three times, and even sent Jesus over to Herod for trial. But in the end Pilate gave in and placed the sentence of death on Jesus. Though we know now what happened in reality, David wrote in Psalms 22 declaring that this day would take place exactly as it did. Even down to the words that the Chief priest would say, and the Roman soldiers gambling for His clothes. Don't lose sight of the fact, that this moment in time was planned way back in the first earth age, and prophesied back in Genesis 3:15. The point for you and I living in this final generation, is that we are to know our enemy, for that enemy has not changed in its character and purpose. Sure God loves all of His children, but God doesn't love what some of the people do. These are serious times, pay attention and don't allow yourself be deceived. Stay with God's Word and check it all out, even this study we are writing here. Matthew 27:24 "When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just Person: see ye to it." As Pilate stood there and looked over this religious group, seeing those Kenite priests and scribes that had turned their church into a mob, the tension was getting to a point of rioting. Pilate seeing the madness that was taking over, took the easy way out, he called for a water basin, and publicly washed his hands of the entire affair before this mob. Then Pilate stated again that their actions was shedding the blood of an innocent man: and Pilate turned Jesus over to these gangsters of the Temple. Pilate gave these Kenites the sentence they were looking for, and said, "see ye to it." [lets get on with it.] Matthew 27:25 "Then answered all the People, and said, "His blood be on us, and on our children." Don't ever forget this verse, for most people try to pin this wicked deed off solely on Judah, and the tribe of Judah. That is not true, for it was the Kenites, the sons of Cain, that are in no way part of the lineage of Judah that was the cause of Jesus death at this time. Sure they worked the crowd into a mob, and the mob became putty in the Kenite hands, but that is how they work. We are reminded of those words from Ezra and Nehemiah that told us just who was in charge of the temple duties, when the house of Judah returned out of captivity from Babylon. "There wasn't one Levite amongst them." These "Nethinims" [strangers given to service] had completely taken over, and their traditions had replaced much of the laws of Moses, and the practices of the Levitical priesthood. These Kenite's offspring are the ones that the people are saying, "His blood be on us, and our children." Jesus talked about those children in Revelation 2:9, and 3:9, they are the ones "that claimed to be Jews, and are not, but do lie, and are the synagogue of Satan." Meaning that they are the sons of Cain, the first murderer. Luke 23:25 "And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will." Did you get that; Pilate even worded the sentencing to the will of these Kenites, the sons of Satan and lineage of Cain. After Pilate questioned Jesus three time and found Him innocent, and Herod found Jesus a innocent man; Pilate turned Jesus over to these religious cut-throats to cast Jesus into prison, and murder Him. Luke 23:26 "And as they led Him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus." So this twenty sixth verse starts that trip up the Golgotha hill to the mount of crucifixion; Calvary in certain languages, and in others, the place of the skull. Matthew 27:33 "And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull." Luke 23:27 "And there following Him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented Him." Stop and think on this matter, for even as Jesus was climbing this Golgotha hill to be crucified, He was thinking of our end generation that would be living during the time of the parable of the fig tree. Matthew 24:32 "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branches is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:" [The end of this earth age, and the start of the Millennium age is nigh.] Matthew 24:33 "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." We are witnessing these end times events daily, and the start of this generation took place in May of 1948, when the Jews established their homeland referred to as Israel, in Palestine. Matthew 24:34 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." So Jesus is referring to this final generation, as he is talking to the "Daughters of Jerusalem". Their children will be living in this great hour of tribulation, when all the world will be deceived. Luke 23:28 "But Jesus turning unto them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children." Luke 23:29 "For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.' " This goes back to Luke 21:23; "But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days: for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people." Jesus Christ will be returning for His virgin bride. This is speaking in a spiritual sense, but He is using the natural act between mother and child to demonstrate the emotions that Almighty God will have toward his virgin bride that will have been taken by Satan. Our God is a jealous God, and if Christ returns to find His virgin bride whoring around with Satan and his religious system, this virgin church standing with a suckling baby in arms, means that they were unfaithful. They did not remain barren and stay true to the their husband. How can this be? Because this virgin bride listened to the lies of those that said they come in the name of Christ, but lied and deceived them. That was the warning that Jesus gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Jesus said it shall come to pass, believe it. Luke 21:34 "Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares." [34] "For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth." [35] Luke 23:30 "Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, `Fall on us; and to the hills, `Cover us.' " At that moment in time, when the seventh trump sounds and all flesh is done away and changed into the new incorruptible bodies, they will know that they have been deceived. Most Christians will truly love Jesus Christ, but they listened to these liars, those that came saying they were of Christ, but gave them doctrines of demons. The rapture doctrine is a lie, you are not going to fly out off this earth, except if you have died and pass on. Then instantly your soul will be in the presence of the Lord. If you truly believe that you will not see Satan, and that you will escape that hour of tribulation and testing by Satan, than you have take Satan's number, to become part of that great harlot church of the end times. You will not meet Jesus Christ coming at the second advent until the seventh trump. Satan comes at the sixth trump, and you will be living in your flesh body for the coming of Satan, but not for the coming of Jesus Christ. Paul warned us in I Corinthians 15:50-52." I Corinthians 15:50 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption." At Christ's second coming, flesh and blood cannot inherit of enter into that kingdom here on earth. The kingdom of God will be here on the entire earth then. Flesh and blood is corruption, and it is these flesh bodies. Incorruption is our spiritual bodies that are ageless, and never get sick. I Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed," There is a moment in time when there will be no more death on this earth. Why? Because at that moment, every soul living in their flesh body will be changed from their corruptible flesh bodies, into their incorruptible spiritual bodies as the angels have, for the next thousand years. I Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead [corruptible] shall be raised [changed to] incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Faster than you can wink your eye, at the last, the seventh trump all the spiritually dead souls living in their flesh bodies will be changed instantly. So do you see why Jesus was warning these daughters of Jerusalem, don't weep for me, but weep for your children living in that day. Those that fall for Satan will be to ashamed to face our Lord at His coming. Most ministers today lead their entire flock to worship at Satan's feet. Satan will be thrown into the pit, and his army of fallen angels that are not in their flesh and blood bodies will go back to the abyss for the time of their destruction Luke 23:31 "For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?" Jesus is bringing into the subject here, using trees for people. Both "the Tree of Life" [Jesus Christ], and the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" [Satan]. The tree is the trunk of your body, and the green tree is when the blood is still flowing through the veins of that body. If they will crucify the Son of man, Jesus the Christ, as He walks on the earth; walking Him up Calvary's hill to nail Jesus to the cross. If they will do this to Christ's living body, what will they do to the dry, or to the Holy Spirit. Luke 18:7, 8 "And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them?" [7] "I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" Are you going to be one of those that still have the faith in our Lord, at His coming, or are you going to be numbered with the harlot church of Satan. Isaiah 54:1 "Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife," saith the Lord." Jesus was talking about our generation, just as in the prophesy of Isaiah 54. Jesus was thinking of you, the elect that had the truth in your mind, and held fast to the end. He was thinking of this verse as He climbed the hill to be nailed to the cross in His crucifixion. That is how much He loves you. So don't weep for Him, but weep for those that shall be deceived. Thank God if He has opened your mind to the truth, that His Spirit has revealed the truth to you. The barren are those that remained true until the coming of Christ. Until Jesus Christ actually returns at the seventh trumpet, the children of the desolate, those that follow Satan, will far outnumber those that will remain true to the end to Christ. Those that did not remain barren had taken the number 666, taken Satan's thoughts, and are not ready for the end of the age. Those that are spiritually barren will have far more to sing about, than those that have become part of Satan's family in deception. Isaiah 54:2 "Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;" Jesus is saying to stretch that tent out, make your place bigger, for the family will be greatly enlarged. The true family of God will include all the Gentiles that will believe and be brought into the family of God, after Jesus' resurrection. Isaiah 54:3 "For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited." After the return of Christ, it will be the millennium, and many will see what they have done, and repent and come back into the family of God. Isaiah 54:4 "Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy yourth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more." In that Millennium age, after the coming of Christ, you will not be ashamed nor even remember the insults that even your family has given to you during that time they went whoring after Satan, while here on earth in the hour of temptation. That time of waiting for the true Christ will be over at the sounding of the seventh trumpet. "The reproach of thy widowhood" is the time that we are waiting for the true Christ, in that hour of temptation. Isaiah 54 is the time talked about in Revelation 19:7, 8. Revelation 19:7 , 8 "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready." [7] "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." [8] We see that both a wife and a bride are mentioned here. There was a spiritual wedding that took place in that first earth age when the elect were chosen, we can understand about widowhood after the crucifixion; when we apply this spiritually. Most of the people today that call themselves Christians will take part in that time of the harlot church of Revelation 18:7; "How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, `I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow." No, they will gladly take part in Satan's wedding and sit as his queen, and partake of all the fine things that Satan has to offer them as his bride. They will believe that Satan is the true Christ. Isaiah 54:5 "For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is His name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall He be called." Speaking spiritually, the elect knows that the Maker is our husband, from back in the first earth age. A host is a number that is so large that they can't be counted. God our maker has so many children that they just can't be counted. He is the Lord of the billions of children that have been born on this earth. When Jesus went to the cross, He became the kinsman Redeemer of all those children that in repentance will believe on His name. Jesus has the entire universe as His dominion, and that includes the entire earth. Luke has told us that He wants to set these truths down as a certainty, to where there can be no mistake on the matter. Luke 23:32 "And there were also two other, malefactors, lead with Him to be put to death." These two malefactors were brought up the hill and put to death right along side of Jesus. Luke 23:33 "And when they were come to the place which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left." "Calvary" is the place of the skull. It was the Romans that did the crucifying on their "Tee" shaped cross. Luke 23:34 "Then said Jesus, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." And they parted His raiment, and cast lots." The soldiers divided the clothing of Christ, and then gambled for the clothing itself. As this was happening below Jesus feet, Jesus was asking the Father to forgive them, for they did not know what they were doing. The Words that Jesus spoke on the cross were prophesied a thousand years prior in Psalms 22. Luke 23:35 "And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided Him, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself, if He be Christ, the chosen of God." Many people stood there watching all that had taken place, they were there to cry out "Crucify Him", and "His blood be on our hands and that of our children." Now just as they cried for blood, they were given it by the Roman soldiers. Can't you just see those Kenite religious leaders spouting off, these words and they were standing there and looking up at Jesus hanging there. Luke 23:36 "And the soldiers also mocked Him, coming to Him, and offering Him vinegar," The soldiers were there doing their duty as a soldier of the Roman army. Though some have said that this offering of vinegar was done to mock Jesus, this vinegar was a poor man's wine. It was given to kill the pain. This wasn't the wine of the officers, but the wine of lower class soldier. So understand that these Roman soldiers wanted to take pity on those that were dying there on the crosses. This was prophecy from Psalms 69:21; "They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink." Luke 23:37 "And saying, "If He be the King of the Jews, save Thyself." As the soldiers stood by and heard the religious leaders mocking Jesus, they said the same thing, but not as mocking Jesus, but for concern for Him. Luke 23:38 "And a superscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS." Pilate put this sign over Jesus head in Greek, Latin and Hebrew so there would be no doubt what the sign said. Pilate was mocking these Kenite scribes and chief priests, through this sign, for it was at their pressing and mob scene that Pilate gave in and allow Jesus to be crucified. They told Pilate to put on the sign that Jesus claimed to be the king of the Jews, but Pilate made it a definite statement. John 19:21 "Write not, `The King of the Jews; but that He said that I am the King of the Jews.' " Luke 23:39 "And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on Him, saying, "If Thou be Christ, save Thyself and us." Even of the two malefactors that were hung with Jesus, one had a hardened heart, while the other believed and repented from his cross. Luke 23:40 "But the other answering rebuked him, saying, "Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?" The malefactor that believed on Jesus, asked the other malefactor hanging there, "Don't you fear God, seeing that you are dying, have you no repentance. Luke 23:41 "And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this Man hath done nothing amiss." The malefactor told the one that was mocking Jesus, "We deserve what we are getting, but this man has done nothing to deserve death." It was obvious that these two were there to witness the trial that took place, they watched as Jesus was mocked, whipped and beaten, and they knew that Jesus was an innocent man, for they heard Pilate those three times saying, "I find no fault in Him." Jesus reputation was well known amongst all the people from His ministry over the past three years. Even this common criminal knew the truth of Jesus innocence. Luke 23:42 "And he said unto Jesus, "Lord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy kingdom." This malefactor turned to Jesus and asked for Jesus to remember him when He entered into His kingdom. He was truthful and sincere. Luke 23:43 "And Jesus said unto him, "Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with Me in paradise." "Truly I say unto thee, to day you will be with Me in paradise." This man had repented and he received forgiveness for his sins. This man would be in the bosom of Abraham on the right side of the gulf in heaven. The other malefactor would be on the other side of the gulf with the rich man, as Jesus said in His parable of Lazarus and the rich man of Luke 16:19-31. When one's soul is absent from the flesh, that soul is instantly with the Father. There is no soul sleep, on soul out there on the hill side in the grave, and no waiting for some so called rapture. No when life of the soul leaves the flesh body, it goes instantly to be with our Heavenly Father. Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God Who gave it." Luke 23:44 "And it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour." "The sixth hour" is twelve noon, and a darkness came over all the earth until the ninth hour or three o'clock P.M. We know an eclipse never lasts that long, but it did happen exactly as stated. Luke 23:45 "And the sun was darkened, and the vail of the Temple was rent in the midst." That vail that separated the holy of holies from the people in the temple was very heavy and thick. It ripped in two, when the darkness came over the earth. It was ripped from the top to the bottom, the very vail that covered the holy of holies. This meant that after the crucifixion, anyone could enter the presence of Almighty God, and His Son, Jesus Christ. You can enter the presence of the Holy Spirit and be lead by our Father. The holy of holies is open now for all souls, Israel and Gentile alike to approach the Father in repentance. The price was paid at the instant that our Lord gave up His Spirit, and went to paradise to preach to the lost souls that died before that time. Luke 23:46 "And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, "Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit:" And having said thus, He gave up the Ghost." The Gospel of John records this more correctly, "It is finished." In another place it was written, "I thirst", for it had to be spoken from the cross. Matthew 27:46 "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, Lama sabachthani?" That is to say, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" This phrase, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani" is perfect Hebrew, except for the word "Eli", which is Aramic. Jesus spoke loud here, because He was teaching. Many teach in ignorance saying that this shows that Christ had taken on the sins of the world and He was a little dirty with sin so God could not look upon Him; How ignorant they are, for Jesus was teaching and quoting David from Psalms 22 while still on the cross. Jesus never called The Heavenly Father God, He always called Him "Father". Jesus was repeating those words of David to teach us today. Lets go to Psalms 22. No person could cause these events prophesied one thousand years prior to take place exactly as they happened. Psalms 22:1 "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?" "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" is the phrase, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani" and is perfect Hebrew except for the word "Eli", which as we said is Aramic. Jesus spoke this loud here, because He was teaching those that were standing by. Though many preachers teach in ignorance that this shows that Christ had taken on the sins of the world, that He was a little dirty here. How ignorant there are of God's Word. Jesus was quoting the lamentation of David, to teach those that were not spitting on him and carrying on like a mad man. Psalms 22:2 "O my God, I cry in the daytime, but Thou hearest not; And in the night season, and am not silent."
David also made this exact statement when he was in trouble. He is saying, "I don't get any rest." Psalms 22:3 "But Thou art holy, O Thou That inhabitest the praises of Israel." David now switches to Messiah, and sings the praises to our Heavenly Father. Psalms 22:4 "Our fathers trusted in Thee: Thy trusted, and Thou didst deliver them." If you also trust in these words, you shall find delivery and salvation. God doesn't forsake anyone and if anyone drives themselves away from God, it is their own fault. If their is a separation that takes place, it is because of your actions and not God's. Psalms 22:5 "They cry unto Thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not confounded." When they put their trust in God, They were not confused nor disgraced [confounded]. If someone tries to shave you for a Christian act that you do, don't worry about it. Their mind is of Satan, and that place where Satan is going is where they are going for the things they do, if they do not repent. Psalms 22:6 "But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people." The Kenite scribes really messed this verse up. In the Massorah text, it is the world "tola", and it means "scarlet", or "crimson and scarlet", that was used for "die". The crimson and scarlet is from the blood that Christ shed for the sins of those that would repent and in faith believe on Jesus name. The People despised Him for what He did, because of their ignorance of theWord, when He paid the price for you and I.
Psalms 22:7 "All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying," This verse applies to what we covered from Matthew 27:29; "And they passed by railed on Him, wagging their heads, saying, "Ah, Thou that destroyed the Temple and buildest it in three day." In other words, they mocked Jesus, and made sport of Christ. These are the things that Jesus taught His disciples when He was preparing them for this time of His death. Psalms 22:8 "He trusted on the Lord that He would deliver him: Let Him deliver him, seeing He delighted in him." Mark 14:31 addressed what the chief priest said; "Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; Himself He cannot save." [31] "Let the Christ the king of Israel descend now from the cross that we may see and believe,..." [32] This was also stated in Matthew 27:43. This is the mockery that was spoken by the chief priests and the elders of the People. the reason I told you to remember those words of the chief priests, is this Psalms 22:8 prophesy. This shows us that the words that these priests and scribes spoke, where placed in their mouths as a seal by the Spirit of the Living God. This seal allows us to know exactly that Jesus was the Messiah, for when those words are spoken, it identifies the Christ, as a matter of fact. Psalms 22:9 "But Thou art he That took me out of the womb: Thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts." Psalms 22:10 "I was cast upon Thee from the womb: Thou art my God from my mother's belly." On other words, Christ never sinned, and He was completely loyal to the Father. This statement of the prophecy is that Christ truly come from the seed of David, through the linage of the virgin Mary; back through David's father Jessie. This is why God named Jesus from centuries before His birth, and His name would be called "Emmanuel", "God with us". Psalms 22:11 "Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For thee is none to help." "There is none to help"; while Jesus hung there on the cross; for every disciple had scattered and denied Jesus. This is God speaking to David a thousand years before Jesus hung on that cross. Though the men had scattered, the women folk were not far away, standing by through the entire time. Psalms 22:12 "Many bulls have compassed me: Storn bulls of Bashan have beset me round." "The bulls of Bashan" were known for their size and strength, This is a figure of speech, or idiom showing the power of the evil that came against Jesus to cause His death. Even though Jesus could have called down thousands upon ten thousand of angels to protect Him, He did not. He suffered the cross alone. He suffered for each of individually so that you and I could have salvation, and the price of our sins was paid in full exactly as David stated it here in Psalms 22. Psalms 22:13 "They gaped upon me with their mouths, As a ravening and a roaring lion." This massive crowd gathered at the direction of the Kenite Jewish religious leaders, and under their direction they shouted "Crucify Him, Crucify Him". It was like Jesus was thrown to this pack of ravening and roaring lions. Psalms 22:14 "I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted in the midst of my bowels." Christ's life blood is dripping away as He hung there on the cross; dripping from the nail wounds in His hands and feet, and the crown of thorns on His head. Then the Roman soldier came and ran the spear through his side. As Jesus hung there on the cross, the nails pulled his bones out of their joints. Psalms 22:15 "My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And Thou hast brought me into the dust of death." A "potsherd" is an old dry piece of broken pottery laying in the heat of the sun. "The dust of death" is when life is sucked out of that clay flesh body, as He hung on the cross. The life with in His flesh body is almost over, and Jesus hung on the cross. Psalms 22:16 "For dogs have compassed me: The assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: They pierced my hands and my feet." "The dogs" are the enemies [the Kenites} that have done this to our Lord Jesus Christ. Do you understand that Christ was crying this from the cross, and David wrote these words over a thousand years before it came to pass? God planned this event to happen to Himself for the sake of His love you you and I, His children. Jesus knew what had to be done so that you cold even have the chance to utter in shame, "Father, forgive Me Lord, In Jesus name." This is why Jesus cried out aloud, "Eli, Eli, lama, Sabachthani". Jesus is teaching and asking them as He hung there on the cross, "Can't you see that I am teaching, as I hang here with these nails through my hands and feet." Jesus is letting us know that He is the Messiah. Psalms 22:17 "I may tell all my bones: They look and stare upon me." As they were shouting out their insults and spitting on Jesus, they mocked Him and yet Jesus never defended Himself. Nobody said one word in Jesus defense. Why, He done it all because He loves you. Psalms 22:18 "They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture." This was the Roman soldiers that gambled for Jesus clothing at the foot of the cross. Eah element was acted out on the part of those present at the crucifixion. "Casting lots" is like throwing of the dice is gambling. Psalms 22:19 "But be not Thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me." Though Jesus felt the pain through this entire ordeal, our Heavenly Father comforted Him all the time. Psalms 22:20 "Deliver my soul from the sword; My darling from the power of the dog." This word "darling" in the Hebrew text is "soul". While the "dogs" those Kenites are "Mine enemies". So this verse should read; "Deliver my soul from the sword, My soul from the power of Mine enemy." Psalms 22:21 "Save me from the lion's mouth: For Thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns." This word "unicorn" is incorrect and not in the Hebrew, but what is stated in the text is "wild ox". So it should read, "I will declare the power of the wild ox." This is simply referring to the power of the Kenites, the enemies of God. Psalms 22:22 "I will declare Thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the congregation will I praise Thee." This name is praised and declared by Paul in Hebrews 2:12-14 "Saying, "I will declare Thy name unto My brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praises unto thee." Hebrews 2 is the chapter that explains how and why Christ came to earth to pay the price for your sins, and mine; whereby we could have salvation. It tells us why God did not feel that he was to good to do exactly what He told you to do, to come to this earth age in the flesh. He did exactly what He expected each of His created souls to do. The church is the "ekklesia" in the Greek, the assembly of the congregation, called the "called out ones". It is amongst these brethren that Christ's name shall be declared, and praises are to be sung to Him. Hebrews 2:13 "And again, "I will put my trust in Him", and again, "Behold, I and the children which God hath given Me." Jesus will never forsake you when you call upon Him and put your trust in Him. Now here is the answer to the statement declared in Psalms 22:22. Hebrews 2:14 "Forasmuch Then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; That through death [crucifixion] He might destroy him that had the power of death [the enemy], that is the devil," In as much as you have to live in this flesh and painful body, Christ also took part in the same flesh and blood body. That through His crucifixion, your sins might be nailed to the cross, and in turn release the hold that the power that Satan has over all sinful men and women. Jesus did what He did to destroy that hold that Satan had over all men in the flesh. God did not create Satan to be evil or put the evil into Satan, but Satan chose to be evil through his price. Many of God's children fell in that first earth age, and God did not want to kill His Children, and that is why we have this second earth age of the flesh, whereby we have the right as we pass through this age in our flesh and blood bodies to make our choice between God or Satan. God blanked out of our memories the events we did and went through in that first earth age, to give us a second chance to come back to Him. Through Christ's crucifixion, the price is paid to where each soul can not chose whether they will serve God or come under the control of Satan, the enemy of God. Because Satan's children, the Kenites, crucified Jesus and killed Emmanuel, God come in the flesh; God can now do to them what they did to Christ in the flesh. God can and will pass judgment on them and Satan when that time comes for Judgment, and the lake of fire at the end of this earth age. Psalms 22:23 "Ye that fear the Lord, praise Him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify Him; And fear Him, all ye the seed of Israel." "The seed of Jacob" is the whole house of Israel, not just the house of Judah; for it includes all the tribe. This is why Jesus would not claim to be "King of the Jews". The Jews were a mixture of Kenites, Satan's kids, mixed in with a few thousand of the tribe of Judah, coming out of Babylon captivity. The Kenites know their father is Satan, and of course they denounce Jesus even to this day in these end times. "Fear" as given here in Hebrews means to "revere", to give reverence. Israel includes all those people and nations that believe on Jesus Christ, that have become grafted into that olive tree called Israel. Psalms 22:24 "For He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath He hid His face from him; But when he cried unto Him, He heard." If anyone tells you that God forsook Christ while Jesus hung on the cross, this verse marks that person a liar and blasphemer. god never forsook or despised nor abhorred Christ in any of His affliction. Before you ever make such an accusation you had better stop and think of what you are saying, before you call God a liar. Your Heavenly Father heard every Word that Jesus spoke, but have you listened to Him through His Word? Psalms 22:25 "My praise shall be of Thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear Him." That "great congregation" is going to be gathered together again right here on earth at the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It will be at the seventh trump, not the sixth. When that seventh trump sounds, all souls living in their flesh bodies will instantly, faster than you can wink your eye, will change into their new incorruptible bodies as the angels have. That is when the great congregation will meet at the feet of Jesus. Every soul on the face of the earth, living in their flesh bodies will bow to Christ at that time. We will be entering into that thousand year Millennium kingdom of our Lord, where no flesh and blood can exist. Psalms 22:26 "The meek shall eat and be satisfied: They shall praise the Lord that seek Him: Your heart shall live for ever." Those that are humble shall eat of God's Word and be satisfied. When you study to fill your mind, your soul will be filled with singing and praise for Jesus Christ. Here, your "heart" is your mind, or the intellect of your soul. Your heart is the thought process to your soul, and it shall live forever in that perfect spiritual body, and we are not talking about any flesh body. Psalms 22:27 "All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: And all the kindred's of the nations shall worship before Thee." "All kindred's of the nations", are the "ethnos", it includes all the races that are on the face of the earth. Every soul on the face of the earth will worship Jesus as the Christ at His return. However, at this time of the crucifixion, they are all saying these words in their mocking of our Lord. When Jesus does return at the seventh trump, He shall rule as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords over even the "ethnos" nations, with His rod of iron. We see today that most Christians have completely put aside discipline in their lives, however a time is coming where they will be under strict discipline put upon them. Psalms 22:28 "For the kingdom is the Lord's: And He is the Governor among the nations." Our Lord Jesus Christ will be the King of Kings over all the nations. He will be the Lord of Lords of all the races. Psalms 22:29 "All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before Him: And none can keep alive his own soul." Those that go down to the dust on their belly will be the ones that follow the devil when he comes as the great deceiver. Most of those that call themselves Christians today, will be part of Satan family because their traditions have caused them to run to him. The sad part is that at the close of the Millennium, even after they have lived for that thousand years in Christ's kingdom in their incorruptible bodies, they will still follow Satan when Satan is released for that short season at the close of the Millennium. This is why the things of this flesh age, all the rudiments that are required of flesh and blood man, will be done away with at the seventh trump. For this will give these souls that ran to Satan in the first earth age, and took part in his Babylonian religious system in this age of the flesh, a third and final chance with no distractions to chose between God and Satan. Sure many will be saved by their works out of that Millennium kingdom, but still many more will find pleasure to become whores of Satan at the very end. This is why after judgment, God will have no remorse of allowing those souls to follow Satan into the lake of fire, and to become ashes. So those that say that God turned His face from Jesus as He hung there on the cross, simply do not know what they are talking about, and the statement is not only a lie, but it is a blaspheme against God. Your calling God a liar, and two faced. Psalms 22:30 "A seed shall serve Him; It shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation." These last two verses written here in Psalms 22 are addressing us living in the final generation. The generation of the fig tree started when the Jews returned to set up their kingdom back in Palestine. That generation of the fig tree started in May of 1948. this is the generation of the election that he chose before the foundation of this earth age of flesh man, and those of the elect will know the truth of the events that are going on in our generation. They will make themselves sealed in their minds with the truth, and be ready for Satan lies and deceptions that will cover the earth. This see of God's elect shall serve Him at this time. Psalms 22:31 "They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness unto a People that shall be born, That He hath done this." This truth shall be taught from generation to generation, parents to their children down through the centuries of time to the final generation. "That He hath done this, is summed up in John 19:30; "When Jesus therefore had receive the vinegar, He said, "It is finished:" And He bowed His head, and gave up the Ghost [Spirit]." From the Hebrew translation from the Massoretic text, the words "He hath done this", is the same as the Greek text, "It is finished." Jesus Spirit separated itself from the flesh body that was left on the cross dead." This is Christ's last Word on the cross. God promised that He would never leave thee nor forsake thee, He did not forsake Jesus on the cross and He will not leave you in your time of need. It is the one thing that you and I can count upon. Psalms 22 documents that God's Word is true. You can't work out your own salvation for it has to be done through Jesus at the cross. This is what is required before you can be saved, you must first recognize that Jesus was innocent of the cross that He suffered, that each of us must repent in Jesus' name, in belief that Christ's sacrifice was sufficient to cover or sins, and have the faith to let go of those sins. God was not weak, not did God depart from Him. Jesus words on the cross was to teach you and I, that His Word is true, and we can count of those promises. Luke 23:47 "Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous Man." This centurion's duty was to carry out the orders of his Roman government, and those over him. Even so he knew that they had just killed an innocent man. Jesus was dead, and his spirit had gone to paradise. When Jesus' body was in that tomb, it is written in I Peter 3:18-20 exactly what Jesus did. I Peter 3:18 - 20 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might being us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: [18] "By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison," [19] "Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water." [20] Jesus Christ went to those souls that were in the holding place of paradise and preached to those souls. Jesus preached to those that did not have the availability of salvation, all the way back to the time of Noah, which was a figure of speech which meant even to Adam. When that vail was rent in two, salvation was offered to Israel and Gentile alike, all the way back to the beginning of this age of flesh man, to all races. There were many souls that heard the teaching of Jesus, believed and were saved. Our Heavenly Father is very fair, and when Jesus went back to preach to these souls, they have the same opportunity as you and I have, to accept the redemption upon repentance, after the price of Christ's blood on the cross had been paid. Even the centurion Roman could sense that Jesus was the Messiah. Luke 23:48 "And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned." Now after Christ had died, and they had see all the events that had happened, the people had become exceedingly sad that they took part in the death of this innocent Man. With the darkness coming over the earth, and all the other things and miracles that had taken place and been prophesied, there had been many converts at this time, and the days that followed this. Luke 23:49 "And all His acquaintance, and the women that followed Him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things." Though the men left when the going got tough, the women in Jesus' life were there to the end giving support. Luke 23:50 "And, behold there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:" Joseph was part of the Sanhedrin, but when the scribes and chief priests brought Jesus in for trial and mockery, Joseph would not play their game and go along with them. Joseph was a good and just man. Luke 23:51 "(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God." Joseph was not for the crucifixion, but He stood his town. He was from the two of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, and He was a Christian. Now at Jesus death, we see that Joseph of Arimathaea knew Jesus Christ all his life, and would play another part in prophecy that was written centuries before. Isaiah 53:9 "And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth." This rich man Joseph was the rich uncle of Jesus, brother in law of Mary, and Joseph of Arimathaea was the kinsman that had the right to claim to body of Jesus. As Jesus uncle, Joseph would be the only one that could go before Pilate and demand Jesus body. For those desiring to know more about Joseph of Arimathaea, the book, "The traditions of Glastonbury" by historian and archaeologist E. Raymond Capt, is a documentation given to show that Joseph was very rich, with many ships carrying tin from the lead mines of the Mendip Hills, to all points of the Roman Empire. Joseph held a very important position in the Roman Government, and carried the title "Nobilus Decurio". Joseph knew about the birth of Jesus, and death of Jesus on the cross as prophesied, because of his ties to the family. As a member of Jesus family, Joseph had the right to appear before Pilate. These traditions of Glastonbury are known even to today. This book "The traditions of Glastonbury" identifies one of the places, and some of the things Jesus did in His youth, where there is a void from the Scriptures. He was with his uncle Joseph, at the tin mines in the Mendip hills of England. It is recorded that both Joseph and the Nicodemus of John 3, the Ruler of the Jews that came to Jesus by nigh; were part of the Sanhedrin, and they stood strongly against those things that were done to Jesus. Sure they were not Kenites, but their wealth allowed them to be part of the Sanhedrin, but there was very little that they could do about what took place. Luke 23:52 "This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus." Joseph of Arimathaea went to Pilate immediately upon Jesus death while Jesus was still on the cross, to take down the body of Christ from the cross, and get the body of Christ ready for burial. Joseph had the right to the body of Christ, because he was the kinsman redeemer of the body. Of course they would give it to Joseph, for it was his right as a kinsman. Luke 23:53 "And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid." Joseph was a very wealthy man, who had this sepulchre already hewn from stone, and this cave was empty. This also is prophesy from Isaiah 53:9 "And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth." As Jesus was crucified, there were two wicked malefactors on each side of Him; and He was buried in a rich man's tomb. This rich man Joseph of Arimathaea took Jesus body down off the cross and wrapped in burial linen, and placed in in his tomb. It was no accident that Jesus was born into the family that He was born into, even the fact of Joseph's wealth played a role in those things that happened. God made Joseph a rich man, and that wealth play a role in the plan of God. This was written over six hundred years before Christ's birth. Luke 23:54 "And that day was the preparation, and the Sabbath drew on." Luke 23:55 "And the women also, which came with Him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how His body was laid." Matthew 27:61 tells us who these women were. "And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre." The were outside the tomb, watching the men preparing the body of Jesus Christ and laying it in the tomb. Luke 23:56 "And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment." Matthew 27:62 records; "Now the nest day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate," In the companion Bible, Appendix 156; there is a six day report that covers the events of the six days before the Passover feast day. When you make a personal study of that appendix, it will explain all details surrounding all events concerning Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection. You will see that Jesus body was laid in the tomb before 6: P.M. on Wednesday, as was required by law. Because that Thursday was the High Sabbath, and nothing could be done on Thursday. It was Wednesday that all preparation and purchases were made, and on Saturday was the regular seventh day of the week Sabbath. Jesus came out of the tomb Saturday afternoon, exactly three days after He was placed in the tomb, as prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 12:40. This was the 14th day of Nisan, and the resurrection had to have occurred prior to sunset, for at sunset, the tomb was visited, and the stone was rolled away, and the body of Christ was gone. Matthew 27:63 "Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while He was yet alive, `After three days I will rise again." These Kenite religious leaders knew of the Old Testament prophecies, and they are calling Jesus a deceiver, in remembering what He had told them, for the only sign Jesus would tell them was that of Jonah, that He would be in the earth just three days, just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish. Matthew 27:64 "Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night, and steal Him away, and say unto the People, `He is risen from the dead:' so the last error shall be worse than the first." For these Kenite priests, their last error was worse than the first. When Christ defeated death, then Christianity became a reality, and not a religious form, as the Temple worship was. It is interesting that at the end of this earth age, there will be two witnesses murdered by Satan, the Antichrist, and at that time there will also be a guard placed on them for the religious people will also know the prophecy concerning them. Their minds are blind to the truth just as the chief priests wee blind concerning what they were doing with Jesus Christ. At the conclusion of the three and a half days, life will also enter into the witnesses, they will stand to their feet, and the entire world will witness these two witnesses as they ascend into heaven. "So the last error shall be worse than the first" Why? Because this will mark the end of this earth age of flesh man, as the trumpet will sound, and Christ will return to earth to set up His kingdom. Pilate allowed these Kenites to fix their great stone at the door of the tomb, and post a guard to stand watch for the three days. Matthew 27:66 "And they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch."
