permission by http://www.theseason.org Micah 5:1 "Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us; they shall smite the judge of Israel with rod upon the cheek." In Hebrew "Now" is "Meanwhile", as in Micah 4:10-11. This is showing that an interval between the "then present time" of Micah, and "that day" of Micah 4:1-6 is what this chapter five is talking about. The "troops" are God's people, those who love the Lord, while "He" is the enemy (Assyrian to Israel), who is the oppressor of God's people in these end times. The enemies of God are attacking, and today it is the Antichrist's System. This verse address a time when Antichrist is on earth and personally attacks Gods "elect". This is when the Sealed "elect" of God will stand against God's enemies.. Rev. 9: 4. This war is between the Antichrist and God's people, it is a spiritual warfare Ephesians 6:10-20 and the weapons are "God's words" expressed in words, ideas and concepts; Against Satan's lying wonders, and his flood of lies. Who do you worship? Micah 5:2 "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me That is to be ruler in Israel: Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." "Bethlehem-Ephratah" is the full name given where Christ would come from, and where he was born. Genesis 35:19, and connecting to Gen. 35:21 with Micah 4. It is the birth place of Jesus. This is a prophecy restated, prophesying of the birth of our Lord Jesus. Micah wrote this book about 603 BC, So you see he is not only prophesying to the future in his time, but a witness to what we know to be true today. Eternally it was set in motion. "Whose goings forth from the Old", this message of Christ's birth came forth from ancient times, from the beginning of time in Genesis 3:15. "From everlasting", from the very foundation of the universe. The time when the signs in the heavens were placed by God. This is quoted again in Matthew 2:6. Micah 5:3 "Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: Then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel." "She which travaileth:, are those that are born in Babylon, and in the "end days," are those who are born in confusion. "Hath brought forth" is reference to the coming out of confusion. How do you come out of confusion of these last days? By studying God's word, and sealing in your mind what God's word and prophecies are all about in these final day of this earth age are, "Sealing" means understanding. Doubt and deception can only take place in ignorance. The remnant of the children of Israel will know who they are at Christ's return, and that will be a day of rejoicing. All will be brought out of confusion, but all will not be saved. It's to late then. Micah 5:4 "And He shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD His God; and they shall abide; for now shall He be great unto the ends of the earth." Christ shall stand and feed His children, through the teaching and discipline to all on the earth. All will bow to Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, because Satan will be in the pit for the 1000 years, in the Millennium. Micah 5:5 "And this Man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land; and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men." When the "Assyrian", or "Antichrist" shall come on the earth, and tread in our churches, then shall 7000 (seven, the numerics for spiritual completeness) shepherds (men & women of God, teaches and preachers will rise up against the Antichrist. Eight in numerics, are new beginnings, and there will be new beginnings. When the elect of God see's through the deceptions, of the Antichrist, and obtain understanding of what is to happen as the seals of God unfold, it will be a new beginning for each of them. God will use each of these people, the elect, to fulfill His part of God's plan for this earth age. And it shall happen exactly as God's Word foretold it would be. Micah 5:6 "And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: Thus shall He deliver us from the Assyrian, when He cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.:" "Waste" is a deceptive use of the word. The Hebrew text says, "And they", are the elect shall rule or command gently over the deceptions of the Antichrist (Assyria) with the sword (word of God). (Revelation 1:16) tells us that sword is the sword of truth that comes from Jesus mouth. That is the two edged sword that cuts both ways. God's elect will be delivered from the tricks of the false Christ (Antichrist-Satan). When he comes to earth, as spoken of in Rev. 12:7-9. When Antichrist rules the world, including the Christians without the seal in their forehead; the elect of God, has God's Holy Spirit that will guide us and make us wiser than the serpent (Satan). Though many say this is history, from 722 B.C.; remember Micah 4:1. The time frame is the same, and this verse is still "in the Last days." This is prophecy is to our time and our generation. Micah 5:7 "And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men." Even when the Antichrist, and his entire earthly system, rules the earth; God will have His elect covering the earth with the freshness of the truth of God's word. That truth will water the earth as the showers come upon the grass. God will still have His elect in place, and with their armor on (Ephesians 6:10-20). By that time God's people who were deceived will hear the truth, and see their error. Are you in a position to teach God's word then, are you filling your mind with that word, so at the right time the Holy Spirit can use you (Acts 2, Joel 2, Mark 13:11). As you speak, even the "gainsayers" will be convinced by what you say. (Luke 21:15). This will happen in the time and generation of the fig tree, and my friend we are in it now. The generation of the "Fig Tree" began May 15, 1948, when Israel became established as a nation. All prophecy referring to the fig tree is directed to you and I. Micah 5:8 "And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and no can deliver." This gives us an idea of the severity that the "elect" will be caring at that time. It is the "elect" of God that tare the sheep of God, for what they have done in following the Antichrist. And our weapon is God's word. The attack is with God's truth. Micah 5:9 "Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off." In the next 4 verses, the term "cut off" will be used five times. This refers to the eventual restoration of Israel in the Millennium; However before this comes to pass their will be a divine intervention of military action, by our Heavenly Father. That protection is for the 10 tribes of the old house of Israel, where ever they exist in these final days. Micah 5:10 "And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:" "That day" is the day that the remnant brings forth the word of the Lord. This verse is not speaking of military "Horses" but power, in a spiritual sense. God says that When "that day" of witnessing before the Antichrist, and the Synagogues of Satan. He will destroy their means of spiritual attack against God's "Elect". Micah 5:11 "And I will cut off the cities of they land, and throw down all thy strong holds:' These are strongholds in the religious sense. Those strongholds are all false doctrine and things that draw you from the pure word of God. Micah 5:12 "And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:" God will cut off all those ministers that soothe you by saying, "that will be all right, all you have to do is believe". They tell you to just listen to their words, and that the entire word of God is not necessary to know. This thinking is a lie. The problem is that he doesn't tell you that the first messiah is the fake one, or what the armor is that we must put on; just believe. The "mark of the beast" begins with the theory that we are going to fly away, with a "Rapture", or snatching away of the Saints. The soothsayers today are just like they were in Jeremiah's day, telling the people they were not going into captivity, and then when it happened, these rapture preachers are just as those early soothsayers in God's sight. They are getting messages today that are contrary to the word of God. They are listening to doctrines of demons. Micah 5:13 "Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.:" These images are anything that comes between you and God, and we see today millions are loosing jobs, and going bust, loosing everything. All those things you considered so sacred and vital in worship; but are an abomination unto God, will be cut down. Many people go to their church building, and the image they have of God, is the physical building structure, built of hands, and creating a false image of what God is. God will put an end to this line of thought. Micah 5:14 "And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee:' so will I destroy thy cities.: The "groves" are these places you go to worship. God will put a stop to them. There will be no more meetings . "Thy Cities", the Massorah locks this in as "thine idols." God says he will destroy your idols. What ever that idol may be, is where you have placed it greater than our Lord. Micah 5:15 "And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard." Have you ever heard those ignorant fools who say; "God never gets angry, or hates." That’s what God calls them. Friend, God will execute His fierce judgment in "Anger". Those heathens and false prophets will never know anger until they see the wrath of Almighty God, as He moves against them. God will have no mercy on their souls. The heathen are those who listen to false prophets. "Vengeance is mine saith the Lord God".
