Numbers

Chapter 14

"Spies Report and its Reception. [1 - 10]"
"Provocation of Yahoveh. [10 - 25]"
"Threatenings. [28 - 38]"
"The Episode, Change of Heart. [39 - 45]"

Numbers 14:1 "And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the People wept that night."

Caleb in the Hebrew tongue means "whole hearted", for only Caleb had the trust in the Lord to know that the Lord would give them the victory. All the congregation listened to the to the ten reports from the false prophets, the spies, and they all believed those with the false reports, over Caleb. Though Joshua issued no report, he sided with Caleb, who was wholly convinced that the Children of Israel was ready to go in and take the land. This was a shock, to have come this far over the past three years, and then lose heart, and faith in the YHVH the Lord. The entire camp wept all night.

Numbers 14:2 "And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, "Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!"

Of course when there is a lack of faith, the first thing that comes after the tears were murmurings, and complaining; and because they could see Moses and not God, Moses became the focal point of their complaints. "Would God" is another way of saying that "We wish" that God had allowed us to die in Egypt, or "We wish" that we died in this wilderness." The point here is, watch out what you wish for, for God will grant them their wish. In this moment of distrust, these children of Israel's mouths got out of control, as they completely lost their faith and gave up.

Jeremiah 23:31, 32 "Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, `He saith.' " [31] "Behold, I am agianst them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause My People to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this People at all, saith the Lord." [32]

These false prophets, false teachers and preachers, spoken of here like to say, "The Lord spoke to me today," and they then utter things that go against the Word of God. They get into foolishness, like "The Lord told me to park my car over there." or some such thing that even common sense should guide you in these matters. If you say, The Lord said, you had better know: Where God said it, to whom He was talking, and why it was said; or you are one of those false prophets that God is talking about here. You don't blame God for your mistakes, nor do you utter nonsense and say that God said it.

Jeremiah 23:36 "And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God."

The "burden of the Lord" is blaming God for your mistrust of His promises in His Word. If you think that you can allow your mouth to dribble and get out of control, and lose your faith to the point of accusing God for your troubles that you have made for yourself, think a second time. God will allow you to pass judgment on yourself, and He will use your very words as your judgment. Whatever burden that you say that God did to you, that is exactly what is going to happen to you. The children of Israel have just passed judgment upon themselves by stating those lose words, spoken before the Lord.

Numbers 14:3 "And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt."

The children of Israel are stating things that show that there is complete unbelief in their minds that God can do what He said He will do. God told them that He was going to lead them into the promise land and protect them, and win their battles for them. Did they believe God's promises? Absolutely not, they had no more than in the neighbor's dog. Faith is the forgetting all the odds, and acting on the promises that God gives to you. Faith requires a response on your part, acting out your beliefs. These people haven't entered into the promise land, to allow the Lord to win their battles for thy, yet they sat at the border and accused God of the lies of those ten spies. Not one thing has happened to their children to this point in time, yet they are accusing God of destroying them, because these lying prophet spies have told them it was going to happen. They were saying that it would be better for us to go back into bondage, than die out here.

In ball games when teams that are suppose to overwhelm opponent teams lose their commitment to the game, and get beat. They lose not only their faith, but their focus to what is at hand. The tide of a game can change over one little thing, and from that point in the game; utterance of words from their mouths turn the winners into becoming the losers.

God gave the Children of Israel victory over Pharaoh at the Red sea, over the loss of water, food, and He protected them through this entire trip of their life. Then here at the final moment, the time they are to enter into the promise land, they hear this false report by false prophets, and they lose their faith and are devastated by it. When they cried out and utter the fact that they are losers, God will allow them to be losers. Get it? The point is that we keep the faith, and believe on those things that we know to be true from His Word, and don't utter nonsense when things don't appear to be going your way. God had a promise land that He promised to His people, and they should have believed God at His Word.

Numbers 14:4 "And they said one to another, "Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt."

This call for a captain is not just a bunch of cowards running for cover, it is outright mutiny in the ranks. The children of Israel are wanting to disregard God's appointed man, and select a captain that would lead them back into Egypt. This is questioning Moses authority, and the very promises and plan of God. This wasn't the first time the people of Israel had turned their backs on God and His leaders, for in Horab or Sinai, they made a golden calf, and bowed down to worship it. They lost their patience, and couldn't wait on Moses' return, and sought to create a way for themselves.

Stop and look around you today, and see all the many ways that even Christians are creating to circumvent, and short circuit the plan of God. The traditions that many church houses are allowing in their doors, completely go against the What God has said will happen in these end time. They come together and appoint their captains to led them into the promise land, when God told them in detail what to expect before they will enter into the promise land. The entire Scripture was written as a warning to each of us living in these end times as to what we are to expect. Yet most of the people living now, have no more faith than those Children of Israel sitting out there in the wilderness, as they spouted off their mistrust in the Word of the Lord.

The word requires patience by us, our ability to sit back and wait on the time that God had appointed for our Lord's return. Be alert, and send out the spies to be watchman, but when the watchmen return, check them out with God's Word, to make sure that cowards have not inject the babble of their own minds in their report and tell you that God spoke to them. Satan is coming first, so expect it. The world will enter into a one world political system, and be built around this system of trade and merchandising, and that world system is here with us now. God told us that the Satan is coming first, so when he shows don't get blown away by it. And even more revealing is the fact that at the seventh trump, the last trump, faster than you can wink your eye, Our Lord Jesus Christ will come and every soul living in their flesh body will be changed into their new incorruptible body, as the Angels have. God's Word promised it, so expect it to happen.

Do you get the point. Satan is coming first and you will see him while you are in your flesh body, so expect this event to happen. Many will teach their traditions that souls will fly out of here, but God promised that you will be here and not gone for that time of the great tribulation. God told us through Ezekiel the prophet in Ezekiel 13:18-22, "Behold, I am against your pillows [traditions] wherewith you hunt souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly." This one tradition, more than any other, is giving people a false hope, to study all of God's Word, and prepare themselves to stand in that day when Michael and his army boots Satan and his army out onto the earth. [Revelation 12:7-9]

The things that are happening here in the wilderness to the children of Israel are warning to you and I; to wake up and not listen to those false spies [false prophets] that are preparing you to die off spiritually in the wilderness of these end times. Learn to trust in the Lord, and be willing to have the patience to wait on the Lord for His appointed times. Watch as the prophecies unfold right before your eyes. Mark them well in your mind and that should give you comfort to know that our Heavenly Father does have complete control over what is written in His Word. It should comfort you that He will protect His own, and lead us into the promise land of that Millennium age of Christ's kingdom.

Numbers 14:5 "Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel."

Think of the shock this must have been to sit and listen to all this negative thought be God's People. Moses and Aaron were not on their face being humble to the children of Israel, but to God. Moses and Aaron knew what God would do to these rebellious people, when they saw God strike their sister Miriam with Leprosy. There will be a time of reckoning coming, and it was not far off. They listened to this rebellion going on, and they fell to their faces immediately to ask for mercy from God.

Numbers 14:6 "And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:"

When Joshua and Caleb heard the rebellion of the people to those false spies report, they also rent their clothes, in repentance before God. So there are two now for Joshua joined in with Caleb to back the entry into the land immediately.

Looking at Joshua and Caleb reminds us of the two witnesses that will be on earth in those final days of this earth age. These two witnesses will be the two that will make a stand for the Lord when most all of the people that call themselves Christians are chasing after the Satan, of course except the elect.

Revelation 11:3, 4 "And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth." " [3] "These are the two olive trees [from Zechariah 4:3, 11, 14] and the two candlesticks, standing before the God of the earth." [4]

Friend, these things that we are talking about right here in the book of Numbers, happened as "ensamples", or examples or warning as stated in I Corinthians 10:11, to those of us living in these end times of this earth age of flesh man. This is what we can expect to see, these two witness making a stand, just like Moses and Aaron; or Joshua and Caleb, making their stand before Satan and the rebellion of the People as they run to him in ignorance. Their shepherds or captains will lead them back to the Egypt of the end time, Jerusalem, where Satan will sit and call himself God.

Revelation 11:5 "And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies; he must in like manner be killed. "

Satan knows that he is not to lay a hand on them, and he won't until the appointed time. Then at the appointed time Satan kills the two witnesses, and that starts the clock counting down for the final 84 hours of this earth age. This will not happen in secret, and out in public, publicized for the whole world to watch; and the world, many Christians alike will start a celebration like this world has ever seen.

Revelations 11:8 "And their dead bodies [the two witnesses] shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified."

Remember from Numbers 14:2 where the children of Israel wanted to run back to? Egypt, their place of bondage, and Jerusalem is the place of bondage when Satan is here on earth following the sixth trump. Joshua and Caleb were God's two witness on their faces in that time of despair, as the people watch on. Jerusalem is the place called Egypt of the end times. It will be the place of bondage of the world to Satan, and that is the place where our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. If you think that God is going to sit back and allow his witnesses or servants to be mocked and degraded, think again. Can you see a type of the two witnesses in Caleb and Joshua. They will enter into the promise land and all the rest of them will spiritually die off in the wilderness of these times. Not many people will will hear the warnings that the two witnesses give at this time. Today there are some 6 to 7 billion people on the earth, and only a handful will hear and respect what the two witnesses are saying.

Numbers 14:7 "And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, "The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land."

The spies all agreed that the land that they passed through was a very good land, they were trying to tell the people to take courage.

Numbers 14:8 "If the Lord delight in us, then He will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey."

This is the secret of all blessings. "If the Lord delight in us", for if you please the Lord He will pour His blessings on you. The Lord has many blessings, but most of the people that claim His name sinply don't please him to where they receive those blessing. These people say the goodness of the land and the beauty of the fruit and abundance of the land, but that is as far as it went with them. God promised it to them, but they were not willing to trust God and follow Him into the land.

Numbers 14:9 "Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not."

This is a conditions for receiving the blessings of God, and it is the same today as it was then. "Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land." This is talking of the giants that were in the land. Those fallen angels and their leader will melt before us, just as their bread called manna melted under the hot sun. The manna came in the darkness when the sun was not out, and the manna settled as the due on the ground, and was gone before the morning sun. Their shadow has departed from them, why? They giants will run, as the Lord goes before us. Caleb pleaded with the people to trust the Lord and don't fear these Geber, the giants of the land.

In Exodus 23 God was telling the the children of Israel that He would send His angel to go before them and give them the victories over their enemies. In verse 21; "Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for My name is in him." In other words, keep your mouth shut, and follow what He has to say.

Exodus 23:22, 23 "But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries." [22] "For Mine angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off." [23]

God promised this way back at the foothills of mount Sinai, and told them exactly what to expect. It was a promise from God to the Israelites personally. Do you see the condition to that promise? Here it is less than a year in time, and they have completely fallen apart spiritually. Caleb and Joshua pleaded with them and told the people to just follow the Lord and the enemy's hearts will melt in fear.

Numbers 14:10 "But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel."

So after speaking the truth, the congregation, every last one of them wanted to stone Joshua and Caleb with stones, [kill them].

Numbers 14:11 "And the Lord said unto Moses, "How long will this People provoke Me? and how long will it be ere they believe Me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?"

All the Lord wanted was for His people to believe Him, after seeing all the signs and wonders that God had done for them to this point in their journey. God wanted their belief, trust, and their obedience, but they would not give it. Think back of all the signs and wonders that were preformed for them in their journeys.

Numbers 14:12 "I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they."

God is telling Moses that he is going to smite all the people, and bring another nation up from the lineage of himself, that will be a mighter nation than Israel. God is angry with the children of Israel and their disbelief. This wasn't the first time that God made this statement, for He made the same statement right after they made the golden calf.

Numbers 14:13 "And Moses said unto the Lord, "Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for Thou broughtest up this People in thy might from among them;)"

Moses is reminding God that the Egyptians saw you and watched as your power moved over their land. They saw you bring your people out of their bondage and into the wilderness. They witnessed the Red sea open and their army buried in the water over them. They saw that the true God of Israel met face to face with His people, and that He was very close to them.

Numbers 14:14 "And they will tell it to the inhabitants of the land: for they have heard that Thou Lord art among this People, that Thou Lord art seen face to face, and that Thy cloud standeth over them, and that Thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night."

Moses is telling God that the word is going to get around that you can't take care of your people. The Egyptians will tell the people of the land of Canaan that you are not to be feared, for you can't keep your word and take care of your people. You make promises that You can't keep. Lord, these people know first hand how strong you are.

Numbers 14:15 "Now if Thou shalt kill all this People as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of Thee will speak, saying,"

Moses is still speaking to God here; "But now if you kill all of your people with one stroke, then all those nations that have heard of you will say,"

Numbers 14:16 " Because the Lord was not able to bring this People into the land which He sware unto them, therefore He hath slain them in the wilderness "

"Because God does not have the power to do what He said he would do for his people, he brought them out into the wilderness and slayed them." This was Moses words to God, reminding them of what the enemy will say. Moses is using some pretty good thinking and reasoning in his talking with the Lord. Moses is going to remind the Lord of many other promises that he made in the past, and ask Him to keep those promises.

Numbers 14:17 "And now, I beseech Thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as Thou hast spoken, saying,"

God has told Moses and the children of Israel of the power that He has, and asked them to trust Him. He has shown His people the power, and now Moses is reminding God of all the promises that He made to Moses and the people in the past. Moses is reminding God of those promises of Exodus 34:5, 6, and 7.

Exodus 34:5 "And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord." This is God speaking of Himself, and Moses will remind God what He Himself has promised to the people.

Exodus 34:6, 7 "And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, "The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth," [6] "Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation." [7]

This Scripture came from the text of the ten commandment. In Exodus 20:5, states that the iniquity of the fathers continue upon the children, and the children's children to the third and forth generation. However there is a clause there that many over look, and that is "to those that hate Me." That iniquity will go to the tenth and twentieth generation, if that hatred is there in the minds of those offspring children. If a man hates the Father, and teaches his children to hate the Father, and that man's family grows into a tribe and nation; and that nation continues to hate the Lord, then God's iniquity will fall on that nation as well.

Numbers 14:18 " The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and forth generation."

Moses is stating the words that God himself used back at Sinai, and reminding Him God of the greatness that we have in Him. Moses is reminding God that He is slow to anger, and merciful [has loving kindness] to those who seek after Him. However the moment that any person of that family or nation turns to God, He is longsuffering and forgiving of that iniquity and transgression, when there is repentance in Jesus' name. The children do not pay for the sins of their fathers, but when the children sin the same sins that their fathers sinned, they they pay for their own sins. If the fathers are in a heathen religious form, and the children continue in that religious form, all of them will pay the price for their idolatry. However when they stop that idolatry, and turn to God, then our Heavenly Father will forgive them of that sin.

Numbers 14:19 "Pardon, I beseech Thee, the iniquity of this People according unto the greatness of Thy mercy, and as Thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now." "

Moses is continuing to remind God of His promises that were made to him and the People even back in Egypt. Moses is reminding God that these people have messed up many times before, and you have forgiven them each of the other times. Do it just one more time, Lord.

Numbers 14:20 "And the Lord said, "I have pardoned according to thy word:"

God is promising Moses that He will not strike them dead, but there will be some sort of punishment.

Numbers 14:21 "But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord."

This is the Lord speaking here, and He is stating, "Just as sure as I live:" so God is making an unconditional covenant here with Moses. The glory of the Lord has been there in person in the Tabernacle for the past year and six month, speaking daily to Moses. Yet, the people still didn't trust the Lord.

Numbers 14:22 "Because all those men which have seen My glory, and My miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted Me now these then times, and have not hearkened to My voice;"

This "ten times" is not just a round number, but the actual number of great miracles that these Children of Israel stood and witnessed for themselves. These events are as follows:

1) At the Red Sea. (Exodus 14:1 -12)

2) At Marah, bitter waters made sweet. (Exodus 15:23, 24)

3) In Wilderness of Sin, rain bread from heaven. (Exodus 16:2-5)

4), and 5) Two times with Manna. (Exodus 16:20-27)

6) At Rephidim, water from a Stone. (Exodus 17:1-4)

7) At Horeb (golden calf). (Exodus 32)

8) At Taberah, Quail from blown in from the Red Sea. (Numbers 11)

9) At Kibroth-hatta'avah. Quail a second time. (Numbers 11)

10) Here, at Kadesh, (Numbers 14:2)

These are the ten events that God is calling Moses' attention to, times when God performed these miracles before their eyes, and yet they still tempted God with their murmurings. God is getting full of these peoples wickedness. Ten in Biblical numerics stands for "the measure of responsibility and judgment or reward".

Numbers 14:23 "Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked Me see it:"

The judgment is coming down on the people for their provoking the Lord. Not one of the persons that murmured against God and refused to enter the promise land will in fact enter into the Land of Canaan. There will be only two men that shall enter into the promise land, and Joshua and Caleb will be those two men. They were the only two that had the patience and trust to hold fast to God's promises, and be fit to enter into the promise land.

Numbers 14:24 "But My servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed Me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it."

Caleb had a different spirit than the rest of the people, and trusted completely in the Lord. He was willing to follow the Lord at that moment in time and trust God for the victory. Caleb will enter into the promise land with his children and grandchildren and see the day when he will take possession of his own land. Joshua was not mentioned here, because he was slow to making a stand against those that cursed God. Sure he will enter the land and take possession, but Caleb will be able to chose the land that he desires. Joshua will get the leftovers. Caleb trusted in the Lord, but Joshua was slow to come to that reality.

Numbers 14:25 "(Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) "To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea." "

God is now changing His mind about going into the land of Canaan, but turn around and head back into the wilderness. This is a command by God to Moses and the people. You are not entering into the promise land at all.

Numbers 14:26 "And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,"

Numbers 14:27 "How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against Me."

So here is the punishment that the people will bear for not trusting in the Lord. God is not saying that the people are murmuring here against Moses and Aaron, but against God Himself. After all the miracles the people still don't trust God.

Numbers 14:28 "Say unto them, `As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in Mine ears, so will I do to you:"

There is a problem here for the people, for just as they begged that God would kill them off in the wilderness; by their own words, they will be condemned. God is going to all the words that came out of their mouth to be the judgment on themselves. Remember back in Jeremiah 23:36 that we looked at earlier? What ever you say that the Lord put on you as a burden, that is what is going to happen to you. In verse two they said; "Would God that we die in this desert."

Numbers 14:29 "Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you according to your number, from twenty years old and up ward, which have murmured against Me,"

God is telling the children of Israel that they are going to die in the wilderness, and all those men and women from age twenty and older would not see the promise land because of your murmurings against Me. "Would God that we die in this desert." When you are talking about God, watch what comes out of your mouth. This is talking about those 603,550 thousand men and their wife would not see the promise land. God will raise up a new army from their children, and they will enter into the promise land and take it. These men, all of them questioned the plan of God, and refused to follow that plan into the promise land. Do you see how this applies to us today, and the generation that is going to be living when Satan arrives as the Antichrist.

On the whole today, people just don't trust the Scriptures, God's holy Word, and they are trying to devise another method for these end times. Many think they are going to fly away, while others think they can take what they want from heathen religions and build a new way to God. They don't trust God, nor do they believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the only way for our day. Friend, this is a warning to you and I, Sure the one world system is here with all its promises, but this political beast will fall, and out of it, the religious beast will stick its head up. It will happen just as God said it would, and if you refuse to believe it and trust in the Lord, your carcases will end up spiritually just as these children of Israel ended.

Numbers 14:30 "Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun."

There will be only two witnesses that will live to enter the promise land, and all the other will die off. In our day and age, its death will be a spiritual death. These are the only two that trusted in God.

Numbers 14:31 "But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised."

The people back in verse two, said that their little ones would become a pray, but God is going to allow each of them to live to see the land, and possess the land for themselves. You despised the land, but you children are going to be part of the land flowing with milk and honey.

Numbers 14:32 "But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in this wilderness."

Numbers 14:33 "And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness."

Forty is the number for probation, and when you have all died off, they shall enter into the promise land. Notice the word "whoredoms" here, for when you are teaching on a spiritual level, and talk about adultery or whoredoms, God is talking about idolatry. Those things that were placed before God's Word and promises. Remember that these things are written as a warning to you. Those traditions that seem so pleasant and gratifying that go against God's word are the whoredoms of today. The false doctrine that you place before your spiritual preparation for the Satan's coming, are substitutes for your spiritual armor, and Ephesians 6:10-20 warns of to put on the our spiritual armor, that we may stand against the wiles of the Devil. Those days are not far away, and very few people calling themselves Christian today are ready for that day. First Corinthians 10:11 warns us on this matter, and it is very important. It is time to learn to trust completely in the Lord, and put that spiritual armor on.

Numbers 14:34 "After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know My breach of promise.' "

Remember that Deuteronomy 1:22 tells us that it was the congregations request that Moses yielded to, that spies be sent into the land. God made it very clear that this idea of searching the land was not His idea. Sure this generation will die off, but the next generation will learn to love and trust Me and My word. Those spies were in the land forty days searching out the land, and God is going to wait one year for each of the days the spies were on their mission.

Friend all this information in the book of Numbers is here for a warning to you and I living in these end times.

Numbers 14:35 "I the Lord have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against Me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.""

This is a promise from YHVH our heavenly Father Himself and just like all the promises of God, you can count on each of them. If you desire to be part of that evil congregation of the end times, then God has outlined exactly what those that have given themselves over to Satan will become. Satan's little whores, like Jesus put it in Matthew 24:19 "And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!" This was not talking about the giving of birth to a infant, but in a spiritual sense. Jesus is suppose to be the husband and we are part of the bride of Christ. We as the bride of Christ are to remain faithful until His coming, yet most will be taken by the wrong husband. When Christ returns it will be after a two thousand year period, and the only ones "with child" are those that have taken the wrong husband. In the expression; "that give suck" are those that assist in the work of Satan.

Friend, these things are written for warning to those living in the time of the end. If you know the truth as to God's plan and go against that plan, there is no forgiveness for you. If you bow to Satan when you know that He is coming first, and believe that he is the Christ, when you know better, there is no forgiveness for you. This is serious to each of us living today. Not only will you suffer the first death of the body, but also the second death of the soul. That is the unforgivable sin. These people out here in the wilderness have tempted the Lord one to many times.

Numbers 14:36 "And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,"

These spies lied about the promise land, and God will judge them men harshly, even more than the others for their slandering against God. Friend, God has a plan, and if you get in the way of God's plan, God will take you down.

Numbers 14:37 "Even those men that did being up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the Lord."

This plague was the Lord that killed off each man that issued his false report to the people.

Numbers 14:38 "But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still."

Caleb and Joshua will not die in the wilderness, but will go into the land and claim their inheritance in the land.

Numbers 14:39 "But Moses told these saying unto all the children of Israel: and the People mourned greatly."

After Moses gave his report that God gave him, the people wept greatly. They now saw the evil that they had done before the Lord, but it was to late for them.

Numbers 14:40 "And they rose up early in the mourning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, "Lo, we be here, and will up unto the place which the Lord hath promised: for we have sinned."

The next morning the people arose and made their way back toward the Red sea, and they went up on a mountain that they passed just before the spies were sent out. In repentance after the fact, they cried out to the Lord, we have sinned, we are here and ready to go into the promise land. Will the Lord play their game and forget their great sin? God told them in verse 25, "Don't go up into the land." but are they going to honor the Lord's command?

Numbers 14:41 "And Moses said, "Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the Lord? but it shall not prosper."

Moses is telling the people, this is not a good thing you are doing, folks, don't God. Don't go against the commandment of the Lord, you will not prosper in your going.

Numbers 14:42 "Go not up, for the Lord is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies."

It is God that gives you your strength to fight against your enemies, and if God is not with you, you will fail. Will they listen to the commandment of the Lord?

This chapter has a message that is directed to you and I living in these end times, For just as God was there and told the children of Israel what they were to do, and what His plan was for that period of time; the People would not listen. Nor will they today. God has told us to be watchmen on the wall, and He is told us all the signs of these end times, and we are to be faithful and trust Him. Will the People? No! they have to go to the mountain, and thats where all the heathen religions and thought is. They have to create their own way to God and their promise land.

So just as these men and women over the age of twenty will die off in the wilderness, so also will the Word of God dry up in this generation. Amos 8:11 "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:" This famine is coming on our land and spreading around the world.

People are no longer interested in what "The Word of God" says, for they are looking to the mountain top for their instructions. Their shepherds are becoming nothing but hirelings, and are like the old dog that is out to hunt and please everyone. They look for other ways to the Father and the promise land, then the way that God has prepared for them. Their false dogma and traditions of men have become their hope, when those traditions go against God's Way.

Amos 8:12 "And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it."

Are Christians today preparing for the coming of Antichrist, Satan, or are they trying to get on top of the mountain and fly out to escape that God has told us will happen. The Christian world has created their mountain top through such things as their rapture doctrine, and the mixing heathen religions to come up with another way. Friend, there is no other way. If you follow any other way, your spiritually dead, just as these Israelites that will have their dead carcasses spread all over the wilderness floor.

Numbers 14:43 "For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the Lord, therefore the Lord will not be with you."

Remember in verse three when the doubters were putting the burden on the Lord? They accused God of bringing them out in the desert to die by the sword. Their words became their burden. So how did they turn away from the Lord? They tried to appoint a captain to lead them back to Egypt. So God is telling them that if you go into the land of Canaan the Lord will not be with you. All those things that you believed in that false report will be your burden, those tall walled cities, and the giants in the land. I will not be with you, for it will be you against them. God laid it on the line with them.

The fallen angels are coming back to this earth, and it will by in our generation. That is a fact. We are in the final days, for the Jews have returned to Israel, and the New World order is formed and has all the nations of the world Chartered to it. It's called the United Nations. Even Jesus warned us of this fact in Matthew 24:37-39.

Matthew 24:27 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." [37] "For as the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark," [38] "And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." [39]

The point I am trying to make here is that when Satan comes in his role of Antichrist, the "instead of Christ", People will be so blind to what is happening, that even most Christians will think and be deceived into thinking Satan is the Messiah. Satan will come with all his fallen angels, and they will do a job on the minds of the people for this earth that are living in their flesh bodies. Revelation 12:9 warns us "And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out nto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Satan comes to this earth at the sixth trump and we are now in the fifth trump. What this event takes place all of Satan's fallen angels are coming also; you can count on it. So just as Moses warned the children of Israel not to go up on that mountain top, would they listen? No way, nor will even the Christians of today take heed to the warnings of the time they live in. Their minds are turning to mush, as God is turning them over to their own fantasies, as they are chasing after their man made traditions.

Numbers 14:44 "But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and Moses, departed not out of the camp."

God speaks from the ark of the covenant, and God and Moses let them depart out of the camp, and up on the mountain, but Moses stayed in the camp. Don't you go, when the rest of the World cries out that He's here, Christ is here. Moses let them go out on their own and God was not with them.

Friend, if you are in your flesh body, let them go, for they are going out to meet their spiritual death, for that is Satan, not Christ. You do what Moses did, stay at the camp of the Lord, stay working faithful in the field until the true Lord comes, for you will be about five months away. The Lord comes at the seventh and last trump as Paul told us about in I Corinthians 15:50-52.

I Corinthians 15:50 "Now this I say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

When Jesus Christ comes to earth, His Millennium kingdom will be established over the entire earth. "Corruption" are these flesh and blood bodies; while "incorruption" is the spiritual body as the angels have. When Christ's kingdom is here on earth, there will be NO ONE LIVING IN THEIR FLESH AND BLOOD BODY.

I Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,"

A mystery is something that is not know at that moment in time. The Apostle Paul is about to show us a mystery, and that mystery is that at a certain point in time, nobody will die (sleep), why? Because all the people that are living in their flesh bodies at that point in time will be changed. That's right, changed from flesh and blood bodies, into their incorruptible bodies, as the angels have. That's the mystery.

I Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

This simply can not be hard to understand. The time is set at the last trump, for there are seven trumpets; Satan comes at the sixth, and the seventh and last follows the sixth. So if you are in your flesh body, and somebody tells you that Christ is here, Is it Jesus Christ the Messiah? No, they have been deceived by their ignorance of the Word into accepting Satan as the true Christ. They have become one of Satan's whores. [get it?] Faster than you can wink your eye, when Jesus foot touches down on the mount of Olives in Jerusalem, you will no longer be in your flesh body, and the things of the flesh age will be over and done with. You are moving into another age, And at the moment of Christ's return you will receive your rewards, if you held true to the word and did not follow after Satan, when all the other headed up on that mountain top to meet with Satan and the rest of his fallen angels.

Numbers 14:45 "Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them even unto Hormah."

"Hormah" in the Hebrew text is "Destruction". God told them He was not with them, but they still thought they could go against the Amalekites and the nations of Canaan. It didn't work for many of them were killed in the battle.
