This chapter is addressed to the chief Musician, which is to say, it is addressed to Christ. "Upon Sheminith" means that it is addressed to the "eighth". Those of the eighth are God's elect, and it is a psalm of David.

Psalms 12:1 "Help, Lord: for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men."

This is addressing the fact that there are less godly men around daily, more and more men are turning away from the ways of God. They are drifting away because they are being misled in these latter days. Though the majority of our nation claim to be Christian, the courts and the media is far from Christian and they are damaging the the truths from God's word with their heathen judgments. They are setting up false teachings, such as evolution and taking away from our children the truths of God's creation. Evolution is a lie, and is not possible and an intelligent person will not buy into that lie. There is no evolving from one species to another or one kind to another, for there is no proof that it has ever happened. Yet that lie allows the heathen educators to remove God from the schools and inject their venom lies. For evolution to be a fact it has to be an never ending process, and we would still have people and creachers all through those stages. For evolution to be a fact, it could not have all started at one time, and then cease. So this in itself proves that the theory is nothing but a fraud. God created the earth and all that is within it, so why is it so offending? Because the heathen of Satan's camp would be at a disadvantage having the truth standing along side of their lies.

Psalms 12:2 "They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: With flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak."

Every thing that those evolutions say is emptiness, for there is no fact in their words. They speak in circles, and give examples that under no condition could become fact. It gives the reader the right to pick and choose, yet they withhold the truths from God's Word. This spells it out exactly as they speak, "With flattering lips and with a double mind the words flow from their lips." Words, words, words just lies and more lies. A double heart is a deceitful heart. Don't let flattering lips outweigh the facts.

Psalms 12:3 "The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and The tongue that speaketh proud things:"

In a very short time, our Lord is going to cut off all those with flattering lips, and those tongues that take pride in speaking their lies.

Psalms 12:4 "Who have said, "With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?"

Who is saying today that with their plans and operation they will prevail, not with the plan of God. They have departed from studying God's plan and gone their own ways. They rely on the words of their own mouth, and run from the words that are given in His Holy Word. They think that they are free to do as they please, and that the prophecies of the Word of god have no power over them. They think that they can play their own salvation such as the fly away theory, and that is sufficient for their salvation. I hope as one of God's elect that you know from where your salvation comes, and that you are not deceived and taken out of season. You have a purpose as an elect of God, and your lips will be taken over by the Holy Spirit of God. You will stand ready to be used by the Holy Spirit on that day that you are delivered up, and at that moment in time the Spirit of God will give each of us the words to say. This is written of in Mark 13:11. Your master is God, and He will put the words in your mouth.

Psalms 12:5 ""For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise," saith the Lord; "I will set him in safety from his that puffeth at him."

God is saying that those that would ensnare my people, I will oppose them. This of course goes back to chapter nine and ten where the Antichrist will come and ensnare the entire world. God is promising that he will rise up and put a wall around you before Antichrist can get set to try to deceive you. Our protection is in the Father, and He is the one looks out for our safety in these latter days. You don't have to be afraid of the Antichrist, for God promised His protection for each of us that are sealed with the truth of His Word. God is not angry with his people, but with those with angry and puffed lips.

Psalms 12:6 "The words of the Lord are pure words: As silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times."

The words of the Lord are the only pure words that there are. Notice that the example is; "as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." The word is pure, and if you find a fault in it, it is you that is wrong and not the Word. God's Words are pure and give us a firm foundation that we can build our life upon, and you will never be disappointed. However God will test you as you try to live your life in the flesh. God is risen from the dead and today he sits on His throne in Heaven as our advocate, or attorney before the throne of God. He is protecting His elect, and building a wall of protection around them. Seven in Biblical numerics means spiritual perfection.

Psalms 12:7 "Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

God protects His own, not only in this generation, but for an eternity. You can count on that protection for it is a promise from the creator to you personally. It is yours for the taking, but you must make the move to step out and take it.

Psalms 12:8 "The wicked walk on every side, When the vilest men are exalted." To the chief Musician.

Even though the most wicked man walk on every side, it doesn't matter for God will protect his own. We see today that it seems that the vilest men are exalted to their high positions, but there is a time coming shortly when each of them will be brought down. Today on every side the media and the world leaders gets all worked up over what is happening today, and the people are misled into its deception and lies. Friend, it just doesn't matter that the world is being filled with lies and deception for it is going to only get worse, yet God is on our every side for our protection.
