THE PSALMS Chapter 128 "Third Psalms of Deliverance, Blessing and Peace." This Bible Study is is provided by http://www.theseason.org/ and shared with permission from it's author R. Christopherson This is the third Psalms of Peace giving your mind rest. This is another Psalm of degrees. Psalms 128:1 "Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; That walketh in His ways. "Blessed is every one that revers the Lord, and walks in God's will." God's Will is His Word, and you walk in that will when you study to know that plan of His Word in your mind. That only comes when you read it with the proper study tools and understand what is being said. When that overall plan is in your mind, they you will have a skill that your Father can use. Psalms 128:2 "For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee." Our Heavenly Father will see to it that you eat the labor of your hands. If you haven't done to much for Him, then the eating will be scarce, and you may get a little hungry. Friend, you will not eat the labor of anybody else's hands. This is referring to the spiritual meaning of this verse, not the bringing home the food for your family. Psalms 128:3 "Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: Thy children like olive plants round about thy table." This goes back in time to understand what is being said here. Picture a wild olive tree, and as the olives ripen they fall to the ground. Then when a large olive tree drops many olives, you see many of these little trees sprouting all over the place. The Lord is comparing this to your wife, when you have been blessed, and many children come from you. This however is not in the physical, but in the spiritual, and we are to bring forth many of these children of God, back into His kingdom. We do that by the planting of spiritual seeds in the minds of people God leads you to. This is talking about bringing people [His children] captive to our Father. His wife is the elect that were chosen in the world age that was, and the body of Christ today, and it is they that bring those children to the Father. This is why some are called the bride and some are called the wife of Christ. This is the time we are to bring some back to the true Christ, and the number of those seeing the truth may be very small. Then in the Millennium age, the rest of those sprouts that fall to the ground come forth, and develop into the entire nation of Israel. Psalms 128:4 "Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord." If you want God's blessing, that is the way to receive His blessing. First start out with your studies, and then plants the seeds of truth in the minds of those that will listen. You plant the seeds, God will do the rest. Many of those seeds will not take hold until the time of the Millennium. You sow the seed, and Father will bring in the harvest at His time. Psalms 128:5 "The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: And thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life." The Lord will bless you out of Zion, because He will be there ruling over His Millennium kingdom. This is when we return there and will be there eternally. Psalms 128:6 "Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel." There has never been peace in Israel, never, but there will be when our Lord Jesus Christ returns to set up His kingdom. Then we will have all the generations, all the way back to Adam present, living in peace in Israel. We will all be there in our spiritual bodies, as the angels have, that will not grow old and have complete understanding of His Word. You are going to live to see it, what an exciting time.
