This is a Psalm to the chief musician, it is a Psalm of David.

Psalms 140:1 "Deliver me, O Lord from the evil man: Preserve me from the violent man;"

Deliver me from a man of violence, it is not referring to someone that talks behind your back.

Psalms 140:2 "Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; Continually are they gathered together for war."

The only thing these evil ones think about is doing harm to others. This is exactly what is going on today in our land. With the aircraft crashes, the poisons spread in the mail, and so on, it all is designed to take the lives of many innocent people. This group on the whole is declaring their war against Christ, and Christian nations and peoples. This is a religious war that is going on here and now. Their focus is to do harm to Christianity, and those that teach and believe in the teachings of the Bible. Any one that moves to promote this type of terrorism is taking part in treason, and should be dealt with as such. We should have a righteous indignation against these people that carry out their mischief's developed from their minds.

Psalms 140:3 "They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; Addars' poison is under their lips. Selah."

They sharpen their tongues like the serpent, because they are the offspring from the serpent, from the garden of Eden. They are the leaders and founders of these wicked groups that seek harm to promote their wicked ways. The poison is from the serpent people, the Kenites, that advance the mission of Satan, to the end of world domination. It is going to happen, and we can witness this taking place even today. The poison that comes from their lips lead the dumb sheep that call themselves Christian, yet are to lazy to seek the truth of the Word out for themselves. They follow their traditions and false doctrines because they do not know the Word of God, and seek the easiest path for their lives. They just would not recognize the enemy if they saw them, for they are spiritual harlots, that will chase after the beauty and trinkets of the beast and that system. The serpent people and the offspring of those people are living amongst us, for they are the offspring of Cain, the first murderer, and the son of the father of lies, Satan.

Jesus knew them and called them what they were to their face. John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. "

Satan is the father of lies, and Cain is the first murderer, who murdered his brother Abel.

Then we have a Selah here, stop for a moment and think on this matter. This Selah connects the wicked evil planned against us with the prayer by us for deliverance.

Psalms 140:4 "Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man; Who have purposed to overthrow my goings."

Let them plan their wicked acts against us, but in the end, it will be their own destruction. We have the victory over our enemies, but we must claim it and act upon it. It's a promise from God, for we have the power and the platform to act on. That foundation is Christ Himself that will give us that victory. When violence comes down on their own heads, don't feel sorry for them, for they are the enemy.

Psalms 140:5 "The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. Selah."

Sure, the wicked and proud lay their snares and nets to trap you, but in the end if your used common sense, you will avoid their traps. This selah connects the evil that is planned against you through their lies and deceptions, for that is the way Satan and his Kenites works; with the salvation and protection that God gives to each of us in deliverance. The enemy never gives up, for they continually plant that thoughts that will lead those that listen to them into captivity.

Psalms 140:6 "I said unto the Lord, "Thou art my God:" Hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord."

The Lord does listen to every request from His children.

Psalms 140:7 "O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle."

God has protected my very head every time I get around those that are wicked and plan their evil. Our Heavenly Father will protect you, when you ask Him for His help. Sure the serpent would bruise the heel of Christ, but Christ would bruise the head of the serpent in the end. Our head is protected by our Savior, through His plan.

Psalms 140:8 "Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked: Further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah."

The Lord will not grant the wicked any favors. The wicked's device, are the many plots of deception that will be set to snare us into Satan's way. That is the way that Satan operates, and his ways always lead to the way of destruction. This Selah connects the our head with the head of the enemy, as to what will happen to the enemies head.

Psalms 140:9 "As for the head of those that compass me about, Let the mischief of their own lips cover them."

Lets face it, their own lies will not protect their head.

Psalms 140:10 "Let burning coals fall upon them: Let them be cast into the fire; Into deep pits, that they rise not up again."

That lake of fire is a reality, and it shall come to pass after the great white throne judgment. They Satan and all those that took part in his lies and deception will go into the lake of fire with him. This is called the second death, the death of their very soul. This time is a lot nearer than most people think today.

Psalms 140:11 "Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him."

Don't allow the evil speaker, the Antichrist be established in the earth. Satan will hunt his own people of destruction to over throw them. Let evil hunt the violent man to over-throw him. Their own plots will put an end to them.

Psalms 140:12 "I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And the right of the poor."

God will protect and maintain those that love Him, and seek help for our Lord. God will always protect your rights.

Psalms 140:13 "Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto Thy name: The upright shall dwell in Thy presence."

The upright are the Zadok, the Elect of this earth age, shall have their high place in the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His millennium kingdom. The duties of the Zadok are spelled out in Ezekiel 44: taking place during the Millennium age.
