This Psalm is called the Victor's hymn, and the Victor being Jesus Christ, and the type of that victor being David. It was through the lineage of David that our Lord would come in the flesh. This chapter brings out that our Lord does hear our prayers. This then address the day that we conquer our enemies, so who are these enemies? This is given to us in Revelation 2:9; and 3:9: This tells us exactly who these enemies are.

Revelation 3:9 "Behold [wake up, pay attention], I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee."

These are the Kenites that came from Cain, the son of the relations between Eve and Satan. It is your understanding of who these people are, and your ability to identify them and the false doctrine the put out that identifies whether you have the "key of David". This then is directed to that time when God's wrath comes forth and He destroys these Kenites enemies. We will see this in a prophetical sense, right along with David's enemy Saul also defeated on behalf of David.

Psalms 18:1 "I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength."

There is no other strength other than in our Heavenly Father. When we turn to this world for strength, it is very short lived. However our heavenly Father's Word gives us our strength that we can count on.

Psalms 18:2 "The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."

My Lord, Jesus the Anointed One, is the One that is the strength of my salvation. He is my shield protecting me from my enemies. This "High tower" is a watch tower, That watch tower is in His Word; and in that Word of God Father gives us our Rock to stand for protection, and comfort. He is my deliverer from the snares of my enemies, and it is only through my trust in Him that I receive the strength to live my life in these latter times. We are to be better watchman from that tower, and as we observe the events of our day, we can see the power of Father, and the protection he gives us as the prophetic events come to pass right before our eyes. The song of Moses tells us:

Deuteronomy 32:30-31 "How should one chase a thousand, and tow put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had shut them up? For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves bring judges."

The Kenites' god is not our God, and their lord is not our Lord. Their god is Satan [Tyrus from Ezekiel 28] a false rock, and our God and Lord is Jesus Christ. Satan will not save them, but our God is the only way and Rock unto Salvation. To us living in this end generation, we must be able to keep our rocks straight, and know the difference.

Psalms 18:3 "I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies."

Do we blow the bugle and go out to battle in these final day? No! It is through the Lord that I shall be saved. Remember that our salvation is through the Lord, and that is where the victory over Satan comes. In these final days we will have many enemies beside the Kenites, for even our family members will turn against us in ignorance.

Psalms 18:4 "The sorrows of death compassed me, And the floods of ungodly men made me afraid."

The snares of death are all around me. And the "floods" of lies of "ungodly men" [Belial, men of Satan] "made me afraid". We know from Romans 11:7-10 that many are not to see the in-depth truths of God's Word for their own protection, for if they truly understood and then fell there would be no salvation for them.

Romans 11:8 "(According as it is written, "God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear";) unto this day."

Romans 11:9 "And David saith, "Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompense unto them:"

Romans 11:10 "Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back always."

This is addressed to our generation and those that just cannot see the truth in God's Word. God has set aside His 7000 or a number that will not bow a knee to Satan the Antichrist, or to his children these Kenites, under any condition. However there are many that will bow to Satan and their blind spiritual eyes are what will protect them until the Millennium age of Christ's kingdom.

Psalms 18:5 "The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me."

The cords or ropes of hell are all the snares of these Kenites [the sons of death], which is to say Satan, are before me and confront me.

Psalms 18:6 "In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry came before Him, even into His ears."

When problems come before us, the first thing that comes to mind should be to call upon the Lord. Remember he is our strength and fortress. It is important the each of understand that God hears us when we cry out to Him. Notice; "even into His ears." Your cry is heard even into the ears of our heavenly Father, he takes your prayers and personal condition very personal. You are His child and as such, He takes you problems as His problems.

Psalms 18:7 "Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations also of the hills moved And were shaken, because He was wroth."

Of course this is in reference to that time when Satan has struck out at His two witness, and Elect, and when Satan moved against God's children, the very foundation of this earth shook. The earthquakes, the fire and brimstone came down out of heaven, and this earth age will end. This is the Lord's day, and on that day we will have the victory over all our enemies, for we will be given our inheritance on that day. God is a jealous God and He avenges those that put their hands on His loved ones.

Psalms 18:8 "There went up a smoke out of His nostrils, And fire out of His mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it."

Remember that in Hebrews 12:29; "For our God is an consuming fire." At God's presence there is a glory that no evil can stand before. However for His children that Love Him and He love, there is nothing but warm affection from that consuming fire, and it warms your very soul. You are in Him and He is in you are immune from any harm that comes on those enemies of you. Psalms 104:4-5 tells us, "Who maketh His angels spirits; His ministers a flaming fire: Who laid the foundations of the earth That it should not be removed for ever." At the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, after the shaking of this earth, we become Jesus Christ's ministers of fire in that Millennium age and into the eternity. That fire is a cleansing fire from the Holy Spirit, that goes out to the people. Never be afraid of your own Father for the fire that goes forth is the Truth from God's Word. That Word is a two-edged sword and some people are offended by the same words that give us comfort. There is only one path, and when we are in need and cry out to Him; know that God will shake the heavens for your protection, and that shaking is coming very soon: Then our enemies shall be no more.

Psalms 18:9 "He bowed the heavens also, and came down: And darkness was under His feet."

As Christ comes to this earth, His anger will be poured out on his enemies, and all darkness on the face of this earth will be put under his feet. It will be gone for the time of Christ's kingdom here on earth. Our Father is a jealous God as He watches down from His throne, and hears the cries of His children in His very ears. The false god Satan, and his children messing over His children will not get away with one thing that they have done. There is a day of reckoning coming and all the debts will be paid on that day of vengeance. Romans 12:19 "Dearly Beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." "

Sure there will be a great time of deception for a five month period, and during that time Father's anger will grow to the point of God Vengeance being unleashed on this entire earth. That is when Father will repay all those wicked things that were done against His wicked ones.

Psalms 18:10 "And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly: Yea, He did fly upon the wings of the wind."

The "wind" spoken of here is the "Ruach", The Spirit of God. These "cherubs" that He will come riding on is described in Ezekiel 1; and 10. It was the vehicle which our heavenly Father traveled. When this happens again it means that God has returned. Even though the Son Jesus Christ returns at the end of this earth age, our Heavenly Father does not return until the end of the Millennium age. Then the full God head will be with us.

Psalms 18:11 "He made darkness His secret place: His pavilion round about Him Were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies."

Remember in Romans 11, God sent the spirit of slumber on many of His children for their own protection. This is why Jesus always spoke in parables, so that these dear souls would remain blind to the truth for their own protection. So that darkness that Satan causes disappears under Christ's feet at the seventh trumpet, and the light that will be and is withheld before, will be revealed to each of God's children, even those that fell in innocence to Satan and his lies at the fifth and sixth trumpets. This becomes a very dark day for the enemies of our heavenly Father but for us, it will be the best day of our eternal life. It will all be over in a matter of minutes.

Psalms 18:12 "At the brightness that was before Him His thick clouds passed, Hail stones and coals of fire."

We read of this in Ezekiel 38:22 "And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire and brimstone." Then He tells us why this will happen.

Ezekiel 38:23 "Thu will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord."

If there was any doubt before as to the who the false christ was from the True Christ, there will be no doubts from that day forth.

Psalms 18:13 "The Lord also thundered in the heavens, And the Highest gave His voice; Hail stones and coals of fire."

When the voice of our Heavenly Father speaks, the earth will shake and things of this universe will drop onto the earth. It is also the voice of Yahshuah Messiah coming as the King of Kings and Lord of Lord.

Psalms 18:14 "Yea, He sent out His arrows, and scattered them; And He shot out lightning's, and discomfited them."

The enemy will receive these arrows and shots of lightning's, and it will discomfit them. this is not a good time to be counted as an enemy of God. However if you are an enemy of God, it is directed directly at you. Even many that profess to be Christians today will have these arrows directed to them for the part they took in Satan's worldly system, and the apostasy that is going on even today. They will see what they have done once the seventh trump sounds, and they will desire the mountains to fall on them, but it will be to late for them.

Remember as Jesus was being led up the hill to His crucifixion, the woman were full of tears, and Jesus said to them in Luke 23:28-29; "...Weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children." [28] "For, behold the days are coming, in the which they shall say, blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.' " [29] So why would Jesus say this to these ladies.

Luke 23:30 "Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, `Fall on us; and to the hills, `cover us.' " When they see what they have done at the coming of the Lord, they will wish that they had never been born. Keep in mind also that it will be your very children that will turn you over to Satan at his coming.

Psalms 18:15 "Then the channels of waters were seen, And the foundations of the world were discovered At Thy rebuke, O Lord, At the blast of the breath of Thy nostrils."

At the coming of the Lord, the understanding of the nations that were in that first earth age will be seeing. All the happenings that took place prior to this earth age, the very foundation and it's destruction of both earth ages by the Living God will be completely understood, for that knowledge will be placed into the mind of each soul. Every thing will be made know to all of His children at this time, in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

Psalms 18:16 "He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters."

God will draw his Elect out of the nations were they are, and put them into the ark of the nations [waters] of the last days. We are saved from those waters today, and those waters are people that are all around us. Revelation 17:15 "And he saith unto me, "The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." God's elect will be drawn out of many peoples and right from the families they were born into. And each of them will see the truth of God's Word and with eyes wide open make their stand right where God has put them. We are getting the latter rain now, and it goes out to this latter generation you live in today.

Psalms 18:17 "He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from them which hated me: For they were too strong for me."

Did you get that? God delivered you from your strong enemy. He will deliver you from all your enemies. Never try to do it alone, for He is our strength, or tower, our shield and all the other parts Ephesians 6:10-20, He is the armour that we must put on in this day of temptation, and we must have it on and in place to stand against the wiles of the devil. Jesus is our very refuge and strength, our comfort in time of need. How precious He is.

Psalms 18:18 "They prevented me in the day of my calamity: But the Lord was my stay."

Through His Spirit you are able to stand up and let the world see what a man or woman of God you are. Led by your wisdom of God's Word, you are alert to the directions that His Spirit lead you.

Psalms 18:19 "He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me."

Does this "large place" ring a bell from Revelation 11:8; "Where they are delivered into the street [A large arena, for large crowds] of the great city...". God will deliver you because God delighted in you. God delights in His elect that will stand in the way. They will bridge the gap and put up the hedge of truth, and He will save them because He is delighted in them. God shall bring those two bodies to that wide place and their bodies shall lie in the street for three and one half days. Then life will come back into them and in front of the entire world, they shall rise into heaven. When this happens, instantly, the seventh trump sounds and this earth age is all over. When you see this come to pass, behold the true Christ is right at the door. It marks the end to all flesh bodies and the things of the flesh. God's elect will build the kingdom right here on earth.

Psalms 18:20 "The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me."

"The cleanness of my hands" are the very work that you do for the Lord. Every thing you do for the Lord will be well rewarded by Father on that "day of the Lord". What kind of work are you doing for the Lord? Have you shared the word, and given support to a ministry that is teaching and preparing God's people to make a stand for the Lord. There is no credit for what you give to those that teach people to fly away, for they are preparing people to follow Satan at his arrival. However for advancing the truth from God's Word there are many blessings that Father will bring your way. We must keep our hands clean in the service of our Lord.

Psalms 18:21 "For I have kept the ways of the Lord, And have not wickedly departed from my God."

You have to study to know the ways, the path of Christ, and then you can avoid falling into Satan's snares and traps.

Psalms 18:22 "For all His judgments were before me, And I did not put away His statutes from me."

Judgment is something different to the elect of God than to those that fall away, for our judgment is a time of rewards and obtaining our eternal inheritance, eternal life.

Psalms 18:23 "I was also upright before Him, And I kept myself from mine iniquity."

"Upright" is also one of the words used for the "Zadok", or the "Just". This is said out in Ezekiel 44 as to the position and inheritance of the Zado, or Upright. I kept myself from my Guilt.

Psalms 18:24 "Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in His eyesight."

Did you get that? God sees everything that you do, for you and your acts and deeds are all done "in His eyesight". You are accountable for everything that you do, and those things that are done in the Name of the Lord will be well rewarded. Those things that are not unto the Lord must be repented of, or you will be accountable for them. The Father sees what you are doing, in your life, and for His Service. So what about the work of your hands? What are you doing for Father today?

Psalms 18:25 "With the merciful Thou wilt shew Thyself merciful; With an upright man Thou wilt shew Thyself upright;"

This verse is telling us that God is always fair, and anytime you come to a verse that you think God is not fair, you just do not understand what is happening. In most cases the translation has been so distorted that it gives nothing but confusion. Go back and search the Scripture for yourself and get the truth.

Psalms 18:26 "With the pure Thou wilt shew Thyself pure; And with the froward Thou wilt shew Thyself froward."

The words "froward" are not in the Hebrew text. It first time it is given in this verse it is the Hebrew word "ikesh", meaning "perverse". the second time "froward' is used it means a wrestler, or contender. So the verse should read; "With the pure heart Thou shalt shew Thyself pure; and with the perverse heart Thou wilt shew Thyself a contender." This means that if you want to wrestle with Father and fight against Him, He will give you what you have coming. He will wrestle with you if you are an enemy of His, and you will lose.

Even if the entire world builds their army to go up against God, they will lose, for they don't even have the start of a chance. God created their lives and minds and the entire universe, and He know what they are thinking. God can use the things of this entire universe to put an end to their plans, and he will in the end. Ezekiel 38 and 39 tell us how God will use the natural things of this universe to bring the heathen nations down. Today that heathen system is taking taking over our God fearing people and our government, and the people are blinded to these Kenite's takeover and evil methods. Don't worry, for God will wrestle with them and our problems will be over.

Psalms 18:27 "For thou wilt save the afflicted people; But wilt bring down high looks."

This is a promise from our Heavenly Father, He will bring down those with haughty eyes; those with the proud look. God will pull all understanding from their minds and they will gladly run to Satan, and wallow in the dust of the earth with that old snake. As the world celebrates in their parties in the end times over the death of God's two witness, they are just hours away from destruction. By the time Satan declares himself to be God [The abomination by the desolator], the entire world will believe it to be true. At that moment, God will bring down all their high looks.

Psalms 18:28 "For Thou wilt light my candle: The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness."

When you are a child of light, The Lord will light your candle and keep it shining in this world of darkness. As dark as this world has become at this time, and it is going to be even darker; but let God light your light with the truth, and let that light shine out so all the world can see it. Each of our lights that shine when Antichrist arrives, will shine with the Holy Spirit giving forth that light, as written in Mark 13:9-11 and with no premeditative thought, the Holy Spirit will speak through us to bring forth the truth of God's Word. Flesh life on this planet has very little time left, as we are about to move from the fifth trumpet to the time of the sixth trumpet. This is a great time to live in for those that are a true Christian and are about our Father's Word. Keep your hands of cleanness pure as you keep living our Father Word.

Psalms 18:29 "For by Thee I have run through a troop; And by my God have I leaped over a wall."

This is just one person speaking, and by Thee I have run through an entire army. Remember what is said in Deuteronomy 32:30 "How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had shut them up?" The moment you take your eyes of the Lord, this doesn't happen, but as a soldier of the Lord, standing with your armor on and in place, they have no hold over you when you have that True Spirit, the Holy Spirit. In Christ, all things are possible. Don't ever try it on your own, or get a proud spirit to think that you can do something without God's leading. It just will not work for there is no room for ego trips, for we owe it all to Him. Even the wisdom that flows from God's word is only yours because He has opened your eyes. He allows you to see the way, and He leads you in the way that you are to go. All the credit for anything that you do goes complete to Him. The only protection that we have in these end times comes from under the saving wings of our Lord, and you must become part of His people to see it through.

Psalms 18:30 "As for God, His way is perfect: The word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him."

God's ways are perfect, and for our salvation we must strive to follow and walk in those ways. He is our protector and shield, and every part of the armor of God that we must put on in these end times. When you put your trust in Him, He becomes our buckler, for a buckler is the small shield that is used in battle when the fighting is real close in, hand to hand combat. When the spiritual warfare gets close and spiritual warfare is at arms length, that is when our trust in the Lord allows us to turn the spiritual fighting over to Father, and let him change minds, and word what comes out of our mouths.

Psalms 18:31 "For who is God save the Lord? Or who is a rock save our God?"

This declares that YHVH or Heavenly Father is our Rock and our salvation. It is only He that gives us our eternal life.

Psalms 18:32 "It is God That girdeth me with strength, And maketh my way perfect."

God makes my ways blameless, for our strength is in our Father, and his ways are perfect. Do your understand Father's plan for these end times. Once that plan is understood then the entire world events make sense, for the world is preparing themselves for their father Satan, and moving into position to give honor to him. That knowledge from the world is wisdom, and gives us our strength to make it all the way to the end to the Lord's coming.

Psalms 18:33 "He maketh my feet like hinds' feet And setteth me upon my high places."

He makes me run like a deer, and God can place you anywhere He wants you for His service. Remember the reason for doing it is so that you will serve a purpose for Him. God gives you the gifts to use because He thinks you can handle them.

Psalms 18:34 "He teacheth my hands to war, So that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms."

God trains me through His word to do the spiritual battle that each of us face in our lives. Remember that though these are physical weapons here, it is referring to the spiritual battle and the word, knowledge and wisdom from the truths of God's word is where our spiritual strength will come from to allow us to face those challenges of Satan, his fallen angels, and even our family members that have become a part of Satan's system with their blind eyes. That is why we must have the gospel armor on and in place in these final days. God's power in you is real.

Psalms 18:35 "Thou hast also given me the shield of Thy salvation: And Thy right hand hath holden me up, And Thy gentleness hath made me great."

In Ephesians 6:16 it tells us; "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." Christ paid the price and we are to have the faith in Christ's Work. In a few chapters we will take a close look at that price as Christ hung on the cross. God's truth has held me up and made me great. He is my strength both in a gentle and a bold way, and we do this through the Holy Spirit.

Psalms 18:36 "Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, That my feet did not slip."

Your foundation of truth allows you to stand on your feet and keep you from slipping. There may be times of testing, but you will come through those times.

Psalms 18:37 "I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: Neither did I turn again till they were consumed."

This sounds like an ego trip, if you allowed it to be, but it is a voice of confidence. You can meet the enemy and have the spiritual victory over them. This is not boasting but recalling the outcome of the battle that was fought standing completely on the word of God, and following His way.

Psalms 18:38 "I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: They are fallen under my feet."

In the war of these final day is fought, your tongue giving forth the word in teaching and counseling, it leaves on place for falsehood to enter. The truth will not leave a lie any room to exist in. Even though false teaching is increasing much, truth will always win out and prove them liars.

Psalms 18:39 "For Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me."

Note here who does the girding with strength, and puts down my enemies. It is "Thou" our Heavenly Father and His Word. It is done through His Spirit.

Psalms 18:40 "Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; That I might destroy them that hate me."

God even gives me the back of the neck of mine enemies. The neck is the week spot of man, and once you have control of the man's neck, he is destroyed. So God is promising you the neck of your enemy when you follow in His ways.

Psalms 18:41 "They cried, but there was none to save them: Even unto the Lord, but He answered them not."

Remember there is only one savior and that is Christ. The enemy does not have the protection that you have. If you are not in Christ, there is no salvation for you, none! Even if they cry out to the Lord for help, God will not listen to their cries. If you think you can handle God's precious word lightly and do things that go against His word, and then cry out to Him, is Father going to answer you? "...He answered them not." When you know the truth and reject it willfully, do your think God will listen to you? When you teach false doctrine and the rapture theory, do you think God will listen to anything you say? "...He answered them not."

Psalms 18:42 "Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets."

God crushed them in the open street, right where they stood. Remember that open street from Revelation 11:8? That is where the Antichrist and his hoards of followers crushed the life out of the two witnesses. The world stood by and rejoiced over God's people being destroyed, What do you think God thought of this as it was done? These are the streets where the witness of God stand, and live, and in time will rise to their glory. God's truth will continue and it will give no quarters when the Word has been fulfilled. That time is not far away.

Psalms 18:43 "Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the People; And Thou hast made me the head of the heathen: A people whom I have not known shall serve me."

God is going to deliver us from the feuds and fighting over their false doctrines, we are delivered from them. God will give you the words that will make the truth known to your eyes and mind, even thought it is not to their eyes. Your eyes are open for the purpose of serving God, and made His elect the nation that shall rule over the heathen in due time, in the Millennium age. So now we are switching to the head of the body of Christ, and it is Christ Himself.

Psalms 18:44 "As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: The strangers shall submit themselves unto me."

This time when these strangers submit themselves to Christ is at the seventh trump, at Christ's return. This is spoken of in Revelation 19:11-21. It is the Lord's Day. When Christ returns to earth and the entire world will see Him and bow down to Him.

Psalms 18:45 "The strangers shall fade away, And be afraid out of their close places."

After that day, there will never be another nation to take power. At the end of the Millennium, Satan will be released for a short season, and then be destroyed before he can get things going again. Revelation 20:4-9 covers this end to Satan the false christ.

Psalms 18:46 "The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; And let the God of my salvation be exalted."

God will be exalted in the end, and He is our salvation.

Psalms 18:47 "It is God That avengeth me, And subdueth the People under me."

Friend, you do not have to avenge yourself, it is God that does the avenging. Romans 12:19 tells us "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written; "I will repay saith the Lord." Every one that does evil against you, God has His ways to avenge that are far better than yours. You are the apple of God's eye and He will protect you as He would the center of His own eye. As one of the body of Christ in these end times, we can count of that protection of our Heavenly Father.

Psalms 18:48 "He delivereth me from mine enemies: Yea, Thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: Thou hast delivered me from the violent man."

When you are a servant of God with the truth in your mind, you never have to worry about your spiritual enemies. That living word within you will instruct you and deliver you from violent men and women. It is the Spirit that will make the words come forth to put down your enemies. Now notice that the one specific person here, is "the violent man", and it is singular, That "man of violence" is the Antichrist, Satan.

Psalms 18:49 "Therefore will I give thanks unto Thee, O Lord, among the heathen, And sing praises unto Thy name."

When you are delivered, don't forget to give God the thanks and glory for your salvation. It is time to recognize that the "name" is important, for we pray in Jesus' name, that gives us the authority and credentials to approach the throne of God. We pray in Jesus' name and our prayer are heard. When Moses asked God, What is your name, Father told him what to tell the people. As we mature in the world, we are to call father by that name.
