Psalms 2:1 "Why do the heathen rage, And the people imagine a vain thing?

Why do these people and their nations meditate on evil and empty things. Stop and look at all the nations today and the ways that they join themselves together in search for vain things. This chapter is talking about governments and politics and the emptiness in the minds of their leaders.  Just because there is separation between church and state it doesn't give political leaders the right to be godless and evil in their ways and thoughts as what is going on today.

Psalms 2:2 "The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord, and against His Anointed, saying,"

These kings of the earth have joined themselves together in this one world system, and these rulers join together for the sake of taking God out of their religious system. So who is the anointed one? Of course it is our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Lord is YHVH the Father. Jesus Christ is anointed by Almighty God. The wicked nation of the earth today has taken a position to stand against the counsel of the Anointed One Jesus the Christ. So now this is what these kings and religious leaders are saying:

Psalms 2:3 "Let us break their bands asunder, And cast away their cords from us."

These political and religious leaders of today are saying, we don't want to hear any more of these sermons on the teachings of Jesus Christ. This one world religious system is taking Christ out of the churches, out of the schools, out of government, even out of homes.  They are  trying to break the cords that bind righteous people to the Word of God. Christianity is the one spiritual force that all the other religions of the world are teaming up against. Of all the religions in the world, only Christianity demands that there is only one path to follow, and that all others lead to a road of destruction.

It is only because of Christianity that heathen religious thought is given a chance to survive in this free land.  And even though the media is sending an onslaught against the Christian faith, God will protect His own.  The truth will prevail in the end.  Friend, when we put in place the gospel armor of God, we are prepared to handle all the fiery darts that Satan and all his heathen religious forms that can be thrown at us. Though there is a difference between church and state today, in a very short time they will both be one. We are living in the final generation. A time is coming when they will take accountability for their actions and answer for the wickedness that has gone on in both government and private lives.

Psalms 2:4 "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision.

Psalms 2:5 "Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, And vex them in His sore displeasure."

So this fixes the time that He shall finally speak and bring His wrath down on these world rulers and their systems. Remember that God's wrath comes at only one time, and that is recorded in Revelation 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever." This is at the end when God's indignation comes upon the entire earth. When this happens, the world will stand "vex" or terrorized at what they are seeing. God has allowed our great nation to stand with the might of the world, yet even with all the blessings that God gave to us, we still have the wimps in government that want to give favors to the godless communism. God is going to punish these ignorant fools for the stands that they are taking: The punishment is coming in a very short time, and each of them will stand and be accountable for the slackness that they have given to our Father's blessings. God is going to terrify them.

Psalms 2:6 "Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion."

There is a day coming when God is going to set his almighty King on Mt. Zion, and there will be no other government. This happens at the coming of our Lord at the seventh trumpet. There will be no other government or congress playing around with the wicked and taking God out of government.

Psalms 2:7 "I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, "Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee."

Our Lord Jesus Christ came that first time as a baby lying in the manger. He came in that first advent for one purpose, to die on the cross for the sins of all those that would confess that Jesus is Lord, and repent of their sins. God gave that one love offering for one and all time, so that our sins could be forgiven, because the law within itself could not. The King has been crowned and the way is set.  The King is coming to take his rightful place on the mount of Olives. Freedom shall reign, and God will be upon His throne. Here we see that God has declared it.

Psalms 2:8 "Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance. And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession."

God is telling us that we can ask of Him, and He will give of all the nation to us for our inheritance. But that just doesn’t matter for anything in Christ's kingdom to come. When you look at all the political parties and all their strategies, above all, there is only one winner in our generation, and that is being on God's side. Every knee shall bow to our King on the first day of the Millennium, for He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the ruler of rulers over all nations on the entire earth.

Psalms 2:9 "Thou shall break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel." 

Have you ever seen a clay pot or fine vase? Take a hammer or rod of iron and strike it with all your force and watch what happens to that clay pot. It shatters into pieces resulting in many fragments.  That is exactly hpw the nations of this earth will fall apart at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. That is what is going to happen to all of our Lord's enemies.  Thanks be to God that you are apart of His kingdom, and that it will be part of your inheritance. Thanks be to God that we are able to worship Him in our country and seek our Father's wise counsel. No my friend, we do not take vengeance upon them, for vengeance belongs to our Lord [Romans 12:19].

Psalms 2:10 "Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth."

This is an alert call from our Heavenly Father: Be wise therefore, this warning is to the kings of this earth, the congressmen, judges, and mayors. It is addressed to any man or woman that sits in a seat of authority, and God is warning each and every one of them that they will be and are accountable for every decision that they make. The warning is to be instructed by God's Holy Word.  That Word is what sets the standard for the counsels that are seated on the bench of authority. The warning is written, so let there be no mistake, the rulers will be held accountable for their leadership roles.

Psalms 2:11 "Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling."

If the godless leaders with their communistic leanings keep bringing God's people and this great nation in the direction that we are headed, there had better be some fear and trembling in their prayers. Our leaders today are taking pleasure in their moves to play into Satan's hand. They play their games in politics to hide their true hidden motives. God help our people today as we are heading down this road into one worldism. We had better serve the Lord with reverence.

Psalms 2:12 "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.."

"Kiss the Son" means to love our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father.  Loving the Son is the only way to salvation.  Without out your love for Jesus Christ, there is no other way to eternal life. This is a warning to those that refuse to pay respect to Jesus Christ, for the wrath shall kindled against them. The true time of wrath is yet coming, but at the appointed time we shall see the full force of God's wrath coming upon the earth.

Revelation 11:18 "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."

"Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him." All those that take refuge in God's Word will be blessed as they study and follow the directions that God has given us through His servants and prophets. Rewards are coming to those that revere Jesus name. Those that think they can defy God's Word and His ways will be in for eternal destruction, if there is no repentance in their hearts.

You can see the power in these verses for those that take refuge in these Scriptures. Can you take refuge in this Word? Can you feel the warmth and love that our heavenly Father has placed within those that love Him. And with that love our Father has also placed the power and authority from His Word to allow each of us to be a bold man or woman of God and still give out that love; Yet draw the line when it comes to yielding to Satan and his realm. We are in that "time of the end" when it is time to draw that line. Our time is running out fast. It is time put on the whole armor of God, and prepare ourselves to to make a stand, and to be able to identify those who just don't care about God and our Father's ways, whether they be in a government office, or behind the pulpit.
