Psalms 29:1 "Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, Give unto the Lord glory and strength."

Within this Psalm we will see the strength of YHVH Father in nature. One lightning bold can end the power for an entire city, and God can selectively guide that lightning bolt to where ever He chooses. He doesn't do that very often but the power that is stored in nature can be directed at His will. Father is slow to anger, but His anger builds slowly to the time of His wrath that is coming upon us even today. The time of His wrath is called, "the day of the Lord",

This verse is directed to those angels that are already there in the heavens with the Father, it is saying, you give praise to the Lord for His glory and strength. God is thee on the throne with Jesus Christ by His side. "Give unto the Lord the glory and praise and honor due Him, you heavenly beings."

Psalms 29:2 "Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."

The glory unto His name "YHVH", Worship the Lord in the beauty that only the holiness of God's elect and saved can. Holiness is perfection without sin, and we can only go before the throne of God in the name of Jesus Christ, for in Him there is holiness. Jesus is the one that paid the price for the removal of our sins, to make us holy before the throne of God, and that is why our prayer of repentance must be in Jesus' name. So this is addressing those that have already gone to be with the Lord, you praise Him and give Father the glory due.

Psalms 29:3 "The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: The God of glory thundereth: The Lord is upon many waters."

"Waters" is symbolic of peoples and nations, and the voice of the Lord is upon all the nations of the earth. The voice of the Lord is all through the sky, when He thunders in the natural order of things that happen. When we see the lightning and hear the thunder we know that it is all part of God's creation. As we see the forces within nature, we know that Father can control all those forces, even when it appears that those forces are uncontrollable. Friend, even without the forces of nature around you, that voice of God still has that same power to control those things around you. God's power is available to His children.

Psalms 29:4 "The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty."

When our heavenly Father wants a truth to be heard it will sound around the world.

Psalms 29:5 "The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; Yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon."

"The cedars of Lebanon" are symbolic of the nations that comprise the "house of Israel" those ten tribes that migrated through the Caucasus mountains and scattered out around the world. They are known today as the Caucasians, and have not lost their identity completely. If God wants to, He can even break them. Now visually that power of God to scatter His people, as you watch a mighty storm flow through a forest and uproot the trees and scatter them over the countryside.

Psalms 29:6 "He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn."

This verse is talking about mountains, Lebanon, and Sirion [Mt. Hermon]. If God desires to, He can make mountains jump around by the use of earthquakes. And as we say in Mt. Saint Helens in Washington State, He can make them explode and lose their tops. He can make mountains dance like the calves of young bulls. Again think of the power that God has at His fingertips. The reason for this chapter is to cause you to have faith in the strength that is available to you, as a child of God, for asking for that strength and protection.

Psalms 29:7 "The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire."

The Lord can divide and direct the very lightning itself as it streaks across the sky. God voice can even divide that lightning. He can strike at many places at one time, and he can take care of you and each of His elect, all at the same time. God created all of the universe, and that includes you, so what does He want from you? He wants your love, and honor and praise. He wants you to love Him. Have you told Him that you love Him lately? He created you for His pleasure. Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things [including you], and for Thy pleasure they [you] are and were created."

Psalms 29:8 "The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; The Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh."

This "Kadesh" is not "Kadesh-barnea" the place the children of Israel went to while in the wilderness; but it is "Kadesh-Naphtali" near Lebanon, as spoken of in verse 6. The word "Kadesh" means "holy fountain"; like a fountain of water. When you think of a wilderness, it is a place with people, there is no man there. Man has nothing to do with the wilderness for that area has been allowed to be blessed with God's perfect nature. So what this verse is saying is that even when man is not present, God's power and presence is there continually, everywhere. Man has nothing to do with that "Kedesh" that holy fountain that can move that wilderness at God's own choosing. In short, God doesn't need man, you or I, but we were created for His pleasure. Are you starting to get the picture, if you do not give God pleasure, of what importance are you to God anyway?

Psalms 29:9 "The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, And discovereth the forests: And in His temple doth every one speak of His glory."

This verse is badly translated in the KJV, but what it is saying is that "God's very presence frightens the hind into having their calves early". This is not a very good example. Even though God has the power to control the forces of nature that can flatten a forest, He can still gently, in the natural order of His creation, bring that fawn to birth in that wild forest. Everyone in His temple does speak of His glory, because Father is fair and just at all times. His Temple is the many membered body of Christ made up of all the believers.

Psalms 29:10 "The Lord sitteth upon the flood; Yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever."

The flood spoken of here is the same in the Hebrew to describe the flood of Noah in Genesis 6:17; 7:6, 7, 10 and else where in the Scriptures. There is also a time element to this verse for that time when Jesus Christ comes to sit King of Kings for ever is at the sounding of the Seventh trump. The flood that comes just before that trump is the flood of lies that comes out of Satan's mouth.

Revelation 12:15 "And the serpent [Satan] cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood."

The water is a flood of lies and deceptions that will come pouring out of Satan's mouth when he is cast out of heaven, and he knows that he has but a short time. That is when this flood of lies comes and the people of the earth will believe it all. All that is except for God's elect that are sealed in their minds with the truth.

Revelation 12:16 "And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth."

The earth is Israel, the elect of God with the truth sealed away in their minds. The lord will come to earth at the sounding of the seventh trump and every knee on the face of the earth will bow to our Lord Jesus Christ on that day. Jesus will come to set up His millennium kingdom, and that kingdom shall have no end.

Psalms 29:11 "The Lord will give strength unto His people; The Lord will bless His People with peace."

There is only one time that this peace will come to the earth and give the people complete peace. That time is when Jesus Christ comes to earth to set up His kingdom, right here on earth. That kingdom will be a time when all souls are in their incorruptible bodies as the angels have, and there will be no one that hast to ask his neighbor the truths of God's Word, why? God will instill in each soul the full understanding, and they it will be a matter of what each soul does with what they know. That is why the Judgment after the Millennium age is on works only, for grace is offered when it is taken by faith, sight unseen. Christ will be here with us, and there will be nothing unseen at that time.

Those that refused God's grace in this earth age, because of ignorance, will know the truth then, after the seventh trump. When the books are opened after the close of the thousand year period of Christ's kingdom, then the judgment comes over those works, as given in Revelation 20:11-15. Lets review these verses.

Revelation 20:11 "And I saw a great white throne, and Him That sat on it, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them."

This great white throne judgment takes place at the close of the thousand year millennium age kingdom. There is absolutely no place to hide from this time of judgment. It is coming and it marks the end of the earth as we know it today. God will bring down out of heaven a new heaven and a new earth as Revelation 21 describes it.

Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the [spiritually] dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

Get it? there are two sets of books, one for the works of those that are still mortal in the millennium, and the other that will be saved, and only their name is recorded in the book of life. Why? All their sins are forgiven and blotted out, and there is no record that they had ever existed. Those sins are covered under the blood of Christ. No there is no covering or hiding for any sins except under the shed blood of Christ on the cross.

Revelation 20:13 "And the sea gave up the [spiritually] dead [souls] which were in it; and death [Satan] and hell [all those that followed him] delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."

This is a serious time, for these souls fell to Satan in the first earth age, the refused the grace of God in this age of flesh man, and they also followed Satan when he was released for a short time at the close of the thousand year millennium age of Christ. They are three time losers.

Revelation 20:14 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

This is not referring to the loss of one's flesh body, but the loss of their very soul. It will be like they had never existed anywhere. Their existence will not even be remember by their loved ones in the eternity. A total wipe out of memory every where.

Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Now is the time to seal yourself and place your name in that book of life. You start by repenting to the Almighty Father in Jesus name, for the name of Jesus is the credentials and path that is acceptable by the Father. We take our salvation by faith in that finished work that Christ did on the cross, then we get into the Word to prepare our selves to follow that path, to prepare for the generation we live in, and the great time of testing just before us.

Jesus Christ is coming back at the seventh trump and He will reign as King of Kings for every. This chapter has opened our eyes to the fact that our Almighty Father created the universe, He controls the forces with in it, yet He loves each of us and wants to bless us in our daily life. If He cares for the birth of a fawn in the wilderness, how much more does He care for those things that come into our lives. Thank Him for that care and peace, and give him the honor and glory that our Heavenly Father deserves.
