This Psalms 37 is an acrostic Psalm, and it has forty verses. It is written like the verses of music, for each four lines has a Hebrew letter in front of it. This falls true except for three particular sets of four lines. In the Companion Bible Appendix 63 VII, iv tell us the hidden meaning of these acrostics. Every Hebrew letter has two verses assigned to each letter, except for three Hebrew letters: the Daleth=D in verse 7; the Kaph=K in verse 20; and the Koph=K in verse 34. In each of these acrostics is a hidden message from our Father. Notice that the location of the hidden message is the seventh verse from the start, and the seventh verse from the end. The last acrostic is verse 20, the middle verse of the chapter.

Our Heavenly Father has a message in this chapter that He wants you never to forget. Those verses are marked with His eternal love for you. In the last three Psalms, 34, 35, and 36 have been in view of Psalms 22, the Psalm that our Lord Jesus Christ quoted from prophecy while hanging on the cross at His crucifixion. So this Psalm is in view of the 23rd Psalm; the Lord being our Shepherd. The fact that we would never be in want, that He would make us lie down in green pastures, and that He would give us eternal life. No matter how strong our enemies are around us, He will provide that protection for us, and prepare a table for us right in the face of our enemy.

Psalms 37:1 "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, Neither be thou envious against workers of iniquity."

It seems like the world always say that the bad and sinners always come out on top. No they don't; Father is telling you, "Don't worry, they will not come out on top." They will get everything that they deserve. God knows ever evil act and word that they have did and said against you, and it is recorded in heaven. There will be a day to account for each of those acts. Don't fret about those evil-doers for God is going to tell us what is going to happen to them; and what is going to happen to you in this Psalm.

Psalms 37:2 "For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb."

Next time you mow the lawn, you can see how each of those blades of grass are cut down to conform to the rest of the blades of grass in your lawn. God has His way of taking that blade or grass or wicked one that has gotten to tall and unsightly, and sheering it off to cut it to size. When you clip off that blade of grass and the hot sun hits sheared off tops, they they whither away to nothing. That is exactly what will happen to the evildoers, even though for a period of time it appears that they get away with their evil acts.

Psalms 37:3 "Trust in the Lord, and do good; So shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed."

This is your answer to that problem, when it appears that the evil doers are on top. Trust in the Lord and do good, and stay focused on His Word and doing what you know you should do. As you study the Word, you will continue to be fed with the truth. That is what will bring the victory to you and cause you to prosper in your life. So what is the condition to have the prosperity? "Trust in the Lord, and do good." When you trust, or have faith in the Lord, He will feed you with the wisdom of His Word.

Psalms 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; And He shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

When you are studying and following God's ways, be happy with your life as you live in the Lord. As you delight in the Lord, and follow His ways, He will fulfill the desires and wishes that are in your mind. When you are in Him and trust in Him, then you will seek those things that are doing our Father's Work, and according to His Word. Your desires should line up with our Father's Will for you. We pray that our Father's will, will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Psalms 37:5 "Commit thy way unto the Lord; Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."

"Commit" in the Hebrew "galal" #1556 in the Strong's Hebrew dictionary, "roll it over, remove." it to Father and trust Him to take care of all those things that are troubling you. This is a promise that you can count on, "Trust Him and He shall bring it to pass." This verse is important to you, so go back and review it again. There are two conditions that must be done on your part before "He shall bring it to pass". First you must give those problems over to God, and secondly, you must trust or have faith in the Lord that He will bring it to pass. But remember that your request must be within the will of God. Most Christians just cannot cut loose with those problems and turn them over to God, for they have to find something to worry about. Commit your problems to Him, for He is the God of the Universe, and He can change the minds of the people when they are set against you.

Psalms 37:6 "And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, And thy judgment as the noonday."

Just as sure as the sun rises in the morning, you can count on Father's promises, and just as sure as the noonday passes and the sun moves to the west, you can rest assured that Father will fulfill those promises that He has made to you. Righteousness is the payment for your trust and commitments to our Heavenly Father. Your part is in your tithes and offerings, or service in any other form. It could be in your prayer life, or just in trusting him and leaning completely on Him and His Word. It doesn't matter what you gift or assignment, the pay is all the same, the rewards are the same for your commitment to Him.

Psalms 37:7 "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."

This is the first verse of the acrostic, and we will see three verses tied into this acrostic. The key to this verse is that we: "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him." Can you do that? When you can not do this, it is a sign of a lack of trust. Rest and be patiently at ease, and watch the Lord work in other people's minds. The "man", "ish" or Satan is the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass, and God has control over the wicked one. Even when it looks like the evil ones are coming out on top, forget it, they are not, you will. We will see why before we end this Psalm. This is the hidden secret of this acrostic, and it is the key to see exactly how our Father works. It is all set up on His time schedule and not ours. Don't worry about the evil ones, and the freshly mowed Grass is our first clue.

Psalms 37:8 "Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself in any wise to do evil:"

It is not your position to bring any vengeance to those that do wickedly to you. Go back to what Paul said in Romans 12:19; "Dearly Beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."

Fret not for God expects you to stay focused on Him. When you are angry and planning evil on someone, your focus is not on Him and His ways. Get it? Let Him do the planning of vengeance on the wick, for God knows how to do it best. So how does God get things done in this earth age? Many times He uses His people to bring pressure where it should to get the job done, and some times it is the still voice of His Spirit that changes minds.

Psalms 37:9 "For evildoers shall be cut off: But those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth."

Just like that grass that you mowed, evil doers are going to be cut off to the size where God wants them. The wicked will not get away with anything. Did you get that, God's kingdom will be established on this earth. God's elect, those that love and trust Him are going to inherit this entire earth. That time is not far away, for it is at the seventh trump, at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. It will be ours because He is our Father, and He owns it all. God's will is written in His Word, and those that love Him will inherit this earth.

Psalms 37:10 "For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be."

Just as the land that you live on today, belonged to someone else before you came along, long after those wicked ones have departed, the land will belong back to you. We are going to be here for the eternity, not off on some other planet of heavenly body. Father is bringing the New Jerusalem right here to this earth.

Psalms 37:11 "But the meek shall inherit the earth; And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

The meek are those that humbly and patiently wait on the Lord, and it does not mean that we are to allow a wicked person to run all over us. Our meekness is in the sense of taking out vengeance upon the wicked, for that duty is left up to our Heavenly Father. However if violence comes your way, then you must defend yourself in what ever manner it takes to defend yourself. If you have wisdom, you will use peace in your speech and actions. Being bold from our Father's Word is good, for it allows those around you to see where you stand.

Psalms 37:12 "The wicked plotteth against the just, And gnasheth upon him with his teeth."

The wicked people just can't help plotting against the just, for the just or elect show the wicked for what and who they are. Night and day, they try to get what you have, for their form of merchandising and short changing are the methods that Satan and his children use. Satan knows the Word, and he wants this earth for himself, yet he also knows that it is part of your inheritance. It is hard to blame the sons of Satan, the Kenites as they plot against the children of God, for they are just as their father the devil. They are constantly plotting, talking and using their words that flow through their teeth to con you out of what ever you have.

Psalms 37:13 "The Lord shall laugh at him: For He seeth that his day is coming."

All the plotting of the heathen, the Kenites and Satan's followers are nothing but a joke to our Heavenly Father, for He knows the death that will be on them soon. Can you be patient and wait upon the Lord, when you know that all vengeance belongeth to the Lord.

Psalms 37:14 "The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, And to slay such as be of upright conversation."

We are a nation of God, of Christianity. When you see the nations banning together today as they are with the forming of agreements between Russia, Iran and many other heathen nation, we know from Ezekiel 38 and 39 that they will be coming against us shortly. Why do we know? Because God has said that He will put a hook in their mouth, and draw them into the valley where He will destroy them. Father will use natural means to bring them to an end. Those even within our own government that plot against our nation will get their just due. That sword is coming, and their bows are bend in doing us harm, but God will do our protecting.

Psalms 37:15 "Their sword shall enter into their own heart, And their bows shall be broken."

Every evil deed that your enemy plots against you, God is going to put hooks in their jaws and turn that evil right back on their own head. It is God that will bring the vengeance down on them for one purpose, "That they may know that I am God." Ezekiel 38:23 This is the same reason that God will avenge those that plot to do harm to you.

Psalms 37:16 "A little that a righteous man hath is better Than the riches of many wicked."

It just doesn't matter what you have, how much or little, it is your blessings from God, and He has promised that that amount will go a long way. If what every you have is justly yours, God intends you to keep on to it, and use it wisely. Then in the millennium age, you have what is yours, plus what the wicked have. God is telling you that you are the richest people in the world, for you have the inheritance of God's kingdom.

Psalms 37:17 "For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: But the Lord upholdeth the righteous."

It is almighty God YHVH that brings down the wicked, yet at the same time He upholds the righteous. Not one of God's sheep shall be taken from His hand of protection.

Psalms 37:18 "The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever."

The Lord knows exactly what you are doing every moment of every day of your life. Your inheritance is for ever, there will be no end to your inheritance it is yours and there is no one that can take it from you.

Psalms 37:19 "They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied."

Though the Russians come down from the north and whom ever attacks from what ever front, our Lord will protect us against all attacks, whether by military, physical or by Spiritual, the Lord will protect us. There will be no famine for food nor for the understanding of the Word of God to those that love and put their trust in Him. Our Lord will prepare us a table even in the face of our enemy, to lift you up, give you strength, Father shall take away what they have. Remember; "the famine in the end times is not for food you eat nor the water you drink, but for the hearing of the Word of God." Amos 8:11

Psalms 37:20 "But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: They shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away."

Now we move into another acrostic, the second of the three in the chapter. Any enemy that is an enemy of the Lord is also our enemy, for we are His. So now picture in your mind an open fire, and a spit over the fire, and a lamb being turned and cooked over that open fire. So God is telling us that what is going to happen to our enemies, and the wick is the same as this fat lamb being cooked over this open fire. As the heat roasts the lamb, the fat drops into the fire and the smoke shall burn the fat away. That is how those profits and ill-gotten gains are going to disappear from before their eyes.

The fat is the oil of the lamb, and as it milts away and drips onto the coals, it turns to smoke and disappears for ever. The wicked are going to burn, but not in the way most people think it is going to burn. Just as there is no tears for the lamb burning or the smoke that turns to vapor in the air, there will not be one tear for those wicked ones that are turned into ashes at the close of the Millennium age, and after the great white throne judgment.

Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

This is the second acrostic or hidden secret coming from this 37th Psalm. All bodies, physical and spiritual of all wicked souls will be gone forever. even in the minds of the loved ones of those people.

Psalms 37:21 "The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: But the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth."

The wicked will borrow and never pay you back, they use you for all they can get out of you. Sure the righteous pays back their debts and with usury to the wicked. With usury there is never any payback, for it is designed to keep you behind.

Psalms 37:22 "For such as be blessed of Him shall inherit the earth; And they that be cursed of Him shall be cut off."

This is talking about after the great white throne Judgment, for after that, God's children will inherit the earth, the New Jerusalem; and the wicked will simply not exist, even in a memory. They will be like the fat of that Lamb that falls into the fire and simply disappears in the smoke.

Psalms 37:23 "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: And He delighteth in his way."

Once you set your feet on the path of the Lord, the Lord will prepare the way for you to follow. It doesn't matter what way that leading will be, the good man or woman is happy following the way that the Lord leads him or her. God knows what your steps are, and how many you will take if you are one of His.

Psalms 37:24 "Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: For the Lord upholdeth him with His hand."

Sure, you will have problems in this life, and there is no way out of it, But when you do fall He will be there to lift you up. You may fall down, but you will not stay down for the following reason; "For the Lord upholdeth him [her] with His hand." This is God's promise to you, however you must claim it.

Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread."

In the deeper spiritual sense, this is because their bread is the bread of life that comes from our Father's Word, which is Jesus Christ. There is no famine even during Satan's rule here on earth for God's elect.

Psalms 37:26 "He is ever merciful, and lendeth; And his seed is blessed."

You can depend on each and every promise of God's Word, but you must ask him for His protection. You can depend on His people also as well.

Psalms 37:27 "Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell for evermore."

Come out of evil, and inherit eternal life; and Allow God to lead your path.

Psalms 37:28 "For the Lord loveth judgment, And forsaketh not His saints;"

"They are preserved for ever: But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off."

"His saints" are God's favorite ones, and He is not going to let you down. Father knows you and loves you, and wants what is best for you. Here again, the promise that the wicked shall be cut off. There is another hidden thing within the manuscripts within this. The Companion Bible goes into this.

The letter Ayin is hidden behind the preposition the letter Lamed , in the first word "for ever" [the Hebrew word leolam ], It is cut off like the "seed" of the the "wicked" in the same clause, both these words ending in Ayin . This gives us a special signature by the Living God as to the meaning within this acrostic.

Psalms 37:29 "The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell therein for ever."

This is a promise that you can count on, for the righteous shall inherit all the earth.

Psalms 37:30 "The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, And his tongue talketh of judgment. And his tongue talketh of judgment."

The righteous shall always speak of those things that are right and true.

Psalms 37:31 "The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide."

When you know what is right in your mind, you strive to follow those ways. Your mind is set and focused on doing what is right, and our common sense tells us what is right and wrong.

Psalms 37:32 "The wicked watcheth the righteous, And seeketh to slay him."

The wicked is always planning to take advantage of a righteous man or woman.

Psalms 37:33 "The Lord will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged."

God is never going to allow the wicked to have the upper hand over righteous person, especially on judgment day.

Psalms 37:34 "Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, And He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it."

This verse is the completion of the acrostic of this chapter. When the wicked are cut off, you will absolutely see it happen and know why it is happening to them.

Psalms 37:35 "I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a green bay tree."

In the better manuscripts state, in the Aramic and others that this green bay tree refers to the "cedars of Lebanon". Hosea 14:6

Psalms 37:36 "Yet he passed away and lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found."

The reason that when you search for them the wicked can't be found is that they have gone up in smoke.

Psalms 37:37 "Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: For the end of that man is peace."

He always will be seeking for peace.

Psalms 37:38 "But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: The end of the wicked shall be cut off."

Again, those that are the wicked, the transgressors shall be destroyed forever, after the Great white Throne Judgment of our Heavenly Father.

Psalms 37:39 "But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: He is their strength in the time of trouble."

Even in the middle of the time of Jacob's trouble when Satan and his fallen angels are here on earth, the salvation of the righteous man and woman will always be the Lord. He is our strength no matter what the trouble.

Psalms 37:40 "And the Lord shall help, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, Because they trust in Him."

If you trust in the Lord, then the Lord shall help and deliver you. He will deliver you from the wicked. So lets review the acrostic messages given to you and I in this chapter. There were in verses 7, 20, and 34. Go back and review them, they are three promises that you as one of God's elect can count on when you trust in the Lord.
