This chapter is titled "Israel's Redeemer", "a Psalm of Asaph" or a collector of the people. Psalms 50:1 "The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken. And called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof." "The mighty God, even the Lord," is YHVH that is speaking here. This is referring to all the generations that have ever lived here on this earth in their flesh bodies. From the six day creation to the very last child born just prior to the seventh trumpet, they all will be part of the collecting. Psalms 50:2 "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined." From the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, that perfection of beauty has shined forth. Psalms 50:3 "Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: A fire shall devour before Him, And it shall be very tempestuous round about Him." The fire shall burn those that are against Him, but to those that Love the Lord, it shall not harm one hair on their head. That fire is the consuming fire spoken of in Hebrews 12:29, that will destroy all evil, yet warm the heart of those that are true to Him. Psalms 50:4 "He shall call to the heavens from above, And to the earth, that He may judge His People." Are you anxious for Judgment by God? To those that love and are faithful to Him, that judgment is rewards of eternal life. Psalms 50:5 "Gather My saints together unto Me; Those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice." That deep parable is continuing right into this chapter. So what is the "sacrifice" of our day? In Hebrews 10:6, 7 Jesus said; "In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast had no pleasure. " "Then said I, Lo, I com (in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Thy will, O God." As a second witness to this in Hebrews 10:9 "Then said He, "Lo I come to do Thy will, O God." He taketh away the first, the He may establish the second." So what is the "second"? Hebrews 10:10 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." The Greek word here in the text is "ephapax" for "once=once for all". The subject is the sacrifice that was required for sin. That second sacrifice offered by our Lord Jesus Christ took away the need for the first, the sacrifice of sheep and goats. Under the old covenant, there were sacrifices required for the temporary covering for sin; however when Our Lord Jesus Christ came out of that tomb, He satisfied that sacrificial requirement for all times and for all that would believe and repent in His name. Romans 6:8 - 10 "Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him:" "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over Him." "For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God." So our sacrifice today is the Word of God. Jesus is the Word, and He is going to gather those together that know His Word, and remained true to the very end. Not those that in their ignorance and confusion, went chasing after Satan at his arrival. Psalms 50:6 "And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge Himself. Selah." This tells us why we don't have to worry about anything; God Himself is the judged over all. He can read what is on your mind as you think your thoughts, and He know the intent of your very actions. He is the judge over you, not some man sitting on the bench trying to make sense over the words spoken in his court room. God knows if you were trying to deceive someone, or the cause of your actions. We have a forgiving judge that simply will not judge those things that are covered under the blood of His Son Jesus Christ. You see why it is important to ask forgiveness for your sins daily, for then you do not have to worry about and carry them on your conscience. That is the freedom that we have in Christ. The "Selah" connects the "call to hear what true worship is", as will be given in verses seven through 15, to the "call to consider what true service is" as will be given in verses 16-22. These two connecting thoughts are what is brought before the judgment of our Heavenly Father when we stand before Him on Judgment day. All of this will be summed up in verse 23 of this chapter. Our God judges in righteousness and fairness, total and complete. Psalms 50:7 "Hear, O My People, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God." Our Heavenly Father wants you to know that He is God, and not this fake that is going to be presented to the world very shortly. Again, don't let the great deceiver Satan, deceive you upon his arrival to earth. Psalms 50:8 "I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices Or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before Me." God is telling you that He is aware of your sacrifices and burnt offerings that you present to him daily, and those are in your study of His Word, and asking for forgive-ness when you fall short of His instructions to you. The thing that Father is upset about is your playing with false religions and traditions and allowing yourselves to be deceived. God is telling us; I know you have accepted the daily sacrifice, which is Jesus Christ, but that is not what is before Me. Psalms 50:9 "I will take no bullock out of thy house, Nor he goats out of thy folds." God is telling you that He does not want our material things, or anything that you have. There is a reason that He doesn't want them. That reason was talked about in Hebrews 10:7-10 that was given above. Psalms 50:10 "For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills." God spoke and all that is in existence was created by our Heavenly Father, and as such they all belong to our Heavenly Father. He owns everything that you have, everything. All He wants from you is your obedience to render back to Him the best that you have. The tithe is not yours, it is His, it doesn't belong to you, and when you hold it back, you are cheating God. So how can you sacrifice anything that is not yours to give. You can't give your neighbor something that he already owns, nor can you give to God something that is already His. He owns it all. The tithe isn't yours, It's His. Psalms 50:11 "I know all the fowls of the mountains: And the wild beasts of the field are Mine." It is all His, even those wild beasts in the wilderness and mountains. All of it.that is why He is worthy to be praised and honored. Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created." God even created your soul for a purpose, and that purpose was to give him the glory and honor and praise, for He is worthy to receive that praise. Are you giving Him pleasure? Have you told Him that you love Him lately? That is what you were created for in the first place, to love Him. Psalms 50:12 "If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: For the world is Mine, and the fullness thereof." God is telling us that even if I was hungry I would not tell you about it, because the entire world is Mine, and I wouldn't need to. It is all Mine anyway. Psalms 50:13 "Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?" Psalms 50:14 "Offer unto God thanksgiving; And pay thy vows unto the Most High:" Did you get this? You thank God for those things that He has already given to you. Your life, your family, your possessions, and all that comes to mind, but foremost should be for the sacrifice of His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and that Sacrifice paid on the cross for you. That is how you "pay the vows unto the Most High." "Offer unto God thanksgiving;" and you had better not overlook this verse. this is not dumping what you have in the local church building down on the corner, this is your committing your love to the Most High, the Heavenly Father through your pray and praise to him. Your vow is your obligation to that place where you are taught the truths from the Word of God; not some traditions of men and imaginations of some man trying to get your money. Psalms 50:15 "And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me." We have many days of trouble in our lives, but there is a greater day of trouble when Satan arrives here on earth to deceive the entire world. That day is coming upon us fast, and it is time to study to prepare ourselves for that day. If you have trouble in your life, call on the Lord and He will step in to lighten your load. When the burdens of this world get to great to handle, they are just right for Him. Jesus told us in Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, And I will give you rest." "Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soul." "For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." The yoke is used to shift the load from the old or weak animal or person to the stronger one that can absorb the additions load. It also protects the weak from the shape edges of the plough, and gives comfort to the animal. Jesus is saying that when those problems of life become so great and insurmountable, that is the time to hook on to Jesus yoke, and give them over to Him. Sure you do what is possible for you, but watch how our Father will straighten out those problems. He will make the load light to where you can handle it, and He will give rest and peace of mind to your soul. Then when He makes that load lighter, don't forget to thank Him for His work in your life. When Jesus said in Psalms 50:15 "I will deliver thee..." that is a promise to you. You can count on it, for there is no condition attached to this promise. You take it by faith, then you glorify Him. Redemption follows repentance, for then you know for a fact that YHVH is God, and all things belong to Him. He will give you only and exactly what you are able to manage. Psalms 50:16 "But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare My statutes, Or That thou shouldest take My covenant in thy mouth?" God is asking those that would distort His Word; What are you doing declaring My statutes and speaking of My covenant from your mouth, when you are teaching it as it is written. They use the Scripture taking a verse here and a word there to support their own imaginations and lies. They are not teaching chapter by chapter and verse by verse, as it should be, building precept upon precept, to give the full truth of God's Word. You can be an honorbable man seeking to teach the Word, but if you don't have the understanding of the Word, all of it, then how can you teach the truth with under-standing? We are not talking about memorizing the entire Word, but at least have the understanding of the how it is all tied together, the earth ages, the need of a Messiah, and the how the rest the Word dealing with God's people falls into place. This is a warning to those false teachers and preachers that would distort the Word for their own gain. Don't set yourself up as a teacher if you do not understand what you are teaching. Psalms 50:17 "Seeing thou hatest instruction, And castest My words behind thee." Seeing that you take the My Word and then through it behind you to promote your own imaginations. God is telling us that He wants His Word within us, within our minds and part of our thinking and everyday lives. Psalms 50:18 "When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst [you found pleasure] with him, And has been partakers with adulterers" God is talking about the thief of a messiahship. You not only saw and consented to go along with those false teaching, but you in ignorance became a partakers with those spiritual adulterers in leading others to that false messiah. They don't know any better because they have been taught to say away from those parts of the Word that would allow them to know what is going on around them. And the seals unfold before their eyes, they have no idea in the world to relate those events to the end times. They have been told that you don't need to know the truth, all you have to do is to believe; but what they believe in is the false tradition of men that would lead them right into Satan's arms. That is what their rapture doctrine is intended to do. A false hope by a evil spirit. So Father is saying that you don't even know if a thief comes by to steal the Messiahship, you take pleasure doing his work. Psalms 50:19 "Thou givest thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit." Don't start speaking things that are evil and go against God's Word, for when you state things that go against God's Word, you are framing deceit with your tongue. When you teach the Word out of the chronological order of events that are given in His Word, that is deceit. If you are teaching a taking away prior to the seventh trump, that is deceit, and you are given evil out of your mouth. When you call yourself a pastor or teacher and you do this, God will hold you accountable for those lies. If done in ignorance, you are still accountable. Psalms 50:20 "Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son." This is talking ofthat time when mother will turn against her child, and brother against brother. Mark 13:12 "Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death." Psalms 50:21 "These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: But I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes." "These things have I [you] done just because I kept silent." All the time that you were saying what you said, and did what you did, you thought it was the right thing to do. Just because God did not come down and tell you personally that it was not so; you kept on lying to people. Just because I said nothing of refuting the lie of the rapture doctrine or any other false teaching, you thought it was true, fact. However very shortly it is all going to be set right, for at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ all those lies you have been telling will be made known. Friend, if you call yourself a teacher or preacher, and promote those lies, you will be held accountable for every misleading statement you say, when claiming it is from the Word of God. This will happen at one point in time, when that seventh trumpet of Revelation sounds and our Lord Jesus Christ comes to earth to make all things right. "Thine eyes" refers to the final generation, those that will be living at that moment in time, and that is our generation. Psalms 50:22 "Now consider this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver." This then is a warning to us, living in the final generation when all the events of the latter days are taking place. Consider what is about to be said, lest you are one of those that have forgotten God. God is telling you that if you fall off to some other god in those last days, and I will tear you into pieces, and there will be no one to deliver you. That is a threat that you can count on. You still thing that the rapture doctrine looks inviting to you? This is a warning to those that think they can play around with Satan's kids, and find satisfaction in those heathen traditions, you are going to pay a serious price for your stupidity. Your other god, Satan is not going to help you, for he is already under the sentence of death. Why in the world would you ever find such spiritual filth so inviting? There is no other deliverer than God, the God of Israel, the prince of peace Jesus the Christ. Psalms 50:23 "Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Me: And to him that ordereth his conversation aright Will I shew the salvation of God." "To the chief Musician." This is what God wants from you. He wants your love and praise glorifying Him. He wants you to know Him personally, as your Savior. He doesn't want you wandering off into some false doctrines, but staying the course in and from His Word. And to those that will set his "conversation" [way] to the only way of the one true God, there is this promise for God that; "I will shew the salvation of God". You set your conversation right by teaching and following the Word of God, and not taking the words from the imaginations of men, that use it for their own gain. That is how the traditions of men are formed, they take a verse from here and distort a word or phrase from there and form their own thoughts and imaginations from what is in the Word. Those traditions are believed and well intend people are led astray in their ignorance. So what are we to do? Get yourself the tools for understanding the Scriptures, and seek the truth for yourself, and ask the Holy Spirit to lead your thinking in your study time.
