"Michtam of David, when he flesh from Saul in the cave."

God has used the historical relationship between Saul and David to bring truths to light of how it shall be in the end times. God used David's life experiences, and the jealousy of the king Saul to reveal the relationship that we are expected to see when Antichrist is here on earth. After Saul had given the kingship to David, he turned on David and wanted to kill him. Why? Evil spirits had entered into Saul. So we see the king, the worthy servant of God, and we see the fight and chase that was going on between Saul and David and the wickedness of Doeg. This was a natural life story, that God used to show us how it shall be in these end times, and even a child can understand. In that David was identified as a prophet in Acts 2:34, these writings of the Old Testament relay to us what is going to happen to us as one of God's elect, in these latter days.

God is so good to us, but giving us stories simplified to the point that it allows us to see what we can expect in our day, in this final generation. So in this story of David and Saul, we have the historical event that took place; the prophecy of the way it shall be; and of course the future facts given by Jesus to let us know specific events to let us know when we were in that final generation. We are in the generation of the "fig tree" that was planted in Jerusalem in May 15, 1948.

Matthew 24:32 "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:"

Matthew 24:33 "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."

Matthew 24:34 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

Those that know the truths from God's Word have a destiny and purpose, God made the promise and laid out the course of action that will take place, and we are to observe those things happening, and be faithful witnesses, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through us when we are called up to speak.

This Psalms 57 is another "Michtam" [golden] Psalm, a Psalm of great importance. Again there are six of these Psalms that started with Psalms 56. These Psalms are all related to do with Messiah. "To the chief Musician, Al-taschith [destroy not]."

Psalms 57:1 "Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful unto me: For my soul trusteth in Thee: Yea, in the shadow of Thy wings will I make my refuge, Until these calamities be overpast."

Anytime the troubles of this world comes down heavy on you, God's Wing is there for you to stand under. He is our refuge and strength in times of trouble. This is a promise from Father to you, that He will see you through to the very end of those calamities. You are Father's child, and He cares for you. Your problems are His, and your enemies are His enemies, when you are under His wings. So why in the world would you worry about anything? Here David is on the run from king Saul who is out to kill him, yet David mind is focused on The Lord, and his soul is safe from the worries at hand. David is declaring his faith and trust in the Lord, and asking God for His mercies.

Psalms 57:2 "I will cry unto God Most High; Unto God That performeth all things for me."

Our heavenly Father cares for each of His children, and that includes you.

Psalms 57:3 "He shall send from heaven, and save me Form the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth"

This "swallow me up" has to do with the panting of an animal as it sets to make the kill on its prey. Here Saul was about to kill David, and yet David had the confidence in Father to protect him no matter what the odds were. This "Selah" instructs us to stop and meditate on what has been said, and it connects those thoughts with what will be said. It is connecting and emphasizing by repetition David's confidence that God would assuredly send deliverance, because of His loving kindness and the truths given from His promises. It connects David's confidence in our Heavenly Father, with God's love. When you trust Him, rest assured that His love will flow back to you. When God sends His mercy, He also sends his truth, His Word that gives us His promises that we can count on and rely on. When He says something in His living Word, it will happen exactly as He states it to be. God's elect search out those truths so we don't get in the way of his will, and those things that must happen.

Psalms 57:4 "My soul is among lions: And I lie even among them that are set on fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword."

A lion is not satisfied to just kill it's prey, but it rips and tares it to pieces. That is how Saul and Doeg were after David. To not just end his life, but to rip him to peaces. David is saying that he is in the midst of a bunch of hot heads, out for the joy of the kill. This is as it shall be in the latter days. It will be like trying to teach the truths of God's Word to a bunch of men skilled in the traditions of men. What will they say to you when God's Word goes against their tradition? They will find every way possible to discredit you, and make you out to some sort of an enemy, which you are to their traditions. We must train ourselves in the word of God to the point that He can use us. That time is coming when He will use us, but when the hot heads come against us, we must be willing to hold our tongue and not get into a shouting match with people that have their minds closed to the truths of God's Word.

Psalms 57:5 "Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Thy glory be above all the earth."

God is exalted above all the heavens and the earth. God created it all for his glory, honor and His pleasure.

Psalms 57:6 "They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down: They have digged a pit before me, Into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah."

David is saying that where ever he goes there is a trap waiting for him there. This Selah is stating for us to stop and think of what has been said. It is connecting the bitterness of his enemies, with the assured confidence that David has in Almighty God. So what this is saying is that in the end, each of them will fall into their own traps that they set for you. Today our people are very bitter, and their lack of knowledge put them in bondage, and they just don't know who they are in bondage to. The truth of God's Word has not set them free for their minds are closed to the truth.

Psalms 57:7 "My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise."

We are to fix our mind on Almighty God, and praise Him for He is our power and protection.

Psalms 57:8 "Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harps: I myself will awake early."

This is a figure of speech, for "awake early" means "awake at dawn". Consider your life span as one day from morning to night, and when God awakes the truths from His Word in your life early in your life, you have come to know the truths in your life in an early age. When that happens, you are very fortunate, and should praise God for those mercies that he has given to you. However even if it is in your old age, it is still early because of the great deception that is about to fall upon the entire world in our generation. You simply cannot thank Him enough for that peace of mind that comes with understanding His truths from His Word.

Psalms 57:9 "I will praise Thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto Thee among the nations."

Let His truth hit all the nations of the earth.

Psalms 57:10 "For Thy mercy is great unto the heavens, And Thy truth unto the clouds."

When you know the truth of God's Word with understanding, you can see God's great mercy and His love for each of us, when our minds are fixed on Him.

Psalms 57:11 "Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: Let Thy glory be above all the earth."
