Psalms 59 is a continuation from the prior chapter, and thus has the same title, Israel's Redeemer and His Work. It also is written "to the chief Musician, Al-taschith [destroy not]", as we saw in Psalms 58. It is another golden Psalm engraven of David. These truths and Scriptures, let them become a part in your mind, and strengthen you in your life in that day when God's wrath builds against His enemies. It is part of that "mark" or Seal of God that must be in your forehead at the coming of Satan in his role as the Antichrist, as written in Revelation  9:4.

"Michtam of David"; is part of the seal of God. "When Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill David." This event is recorded in I Samuel 19:11 "And Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michael David's wife told him, saying, "If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain."

Psalms 59:1 "Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: Defend me from them that rise up against me."

God did deliver David from his enemies, and he shall deliver His elect and those that love him and remain true to Him from their enemies in these end times.

Psalms 59:2 "Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, And save me from bloody men."

Save me from the murderers, Father. David knew that God would deliver Him from his enemies, those that would claim his life.

Psalms 50:3 "For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: The mighty are gathered against me; Not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord."

"To lie in wait for", or to premeditate to take ones life, is murder. The forethought is what separates the murderer from on that has taken a life accidentally, or by defense of ones life or family. God requires the life of those that would premeditate to take another's life in Capital punishment.

Deuteronomy 19:10 "That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee."

Deuteronomy 19:11 "But if any man hate his neighbor, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:"

This is talking about a murderer that premeditates the taking of another's life for any reason.

Deuteronomy 19:12 "Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die."

We are talking about capital punishment here, the taking of a murderer's life, for the wick act of preplanning the death of another man's life. Are we to feel sorry for that murderer? What does God think about it?

Deuteronomy 19:13 "Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.' "

Those clergy that would sob, and make their moves to prevent the punishment from taking place are going against the word of God. They may use the excuse that in the death of Christ it eliminated the need for capital punishment; however what did Jesus say about that?

Matthew 5:17, 18 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." [17] "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." [18]

this earth and heaven have not passed away, and this order for Jesus is still in effect. Sure the blood ordinances dealing with sacrificial law with the blood of sheep and goats has been fulfilled in Christ's death on the cross, but the Law as a whole is still in effect and you are accountable for it.

Matthew 5:19 "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach me so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Those outside David's house waiting to kill him, are definitely going against the law. Those men are not going after David for any sins that he has committed, for David was innocent of any sin that would require capital punishment. David knew he hadn't done anything to that point that would require his death under the law.

Psalms 59:4 "They run and prepare themselves without my fault: Awake to help me, and behold."

David is saying, God look at them and into their minds and see their intent as then lie in wait of me.

Psalms 59:5 "Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to visit all the heathen: Be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah."

David is pleading with God to make it right all those wicked deeds that the heathen do, and see them for what they are. Be not merciful to any of those wicked transgressors, no matter what generation they live in. "Selah": Stop now and think a moment, for this connects the wicked transgressors with their true character. This Selah tells us to meditate on that character of those wicked ones, for they chase men for no reason, and would put harm to innocent people. So why would these men chase David? God had anointed David over Saul, and these men wanted to end that anointing of God. They plotted and planned their murder of David in advance. Satan knew that through David would come the true Messiah, and he wanted to end that possibility. Satan wanted David dead, and murder is a tool of the devil.

Satan's time is coming when he will rule the world, and without opposition. That time is coming very shortly, when Michael kicks him out of heaven onto this earth. That time is at the sounding of the sixth trumpet, but that time has been shortened to five months and he knows it. "Selah"! Stop and think for a moment how this will apply to you when that event happens, for just as they laid wait for David to claim his physical life, Satan will be out to have his people lay in wait to claim your soul. So this is how you read those that would lay wait for you, and this is how you read their character. This Selah connects their true character to those wicked transgressors.

Psalms 59:6 "They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, And go round about the city."

This type of person doesn't end with the sun goes down, or after a time of challenge, but they continue on and on in their efforts. They try to hunt down problems where their aren't any, and if they can't find any, they create it and build their mischief into something with substance. That is all they do, plot to trip you up, and they won't rest until they have you in their traps.

Psalms 59:7 "Behold, they belch out with their mouth: Swords are in their lips: For "Who", say they, "doth hear"?"

When they talk, they talk in riddles and in circles. They just don't make sense, but in time they work people up over nothing. Stop and watch the news sometime and see how this type works, that make a lot over nothing. The prayer in a school, a singn on the wall, a small thing is built into a major conflict. The use lies and gossip as the truth for building their platforms to work from. They claim there is no God, and they are out to prove in with their lies and deceptions. They claim the right to violate anything decent, for they claim it is their right as a human being, as they continue to try to take away the rights of those that oppose them. These is how Satan works, and it is how those doing Satan's work conducts themselves. We are talking about the character of Satan's people, and they are the same today as they were working for Saul trying to take the life of David, the one that the Messiah would come through. You are seeing their true character, and if it seems a little salty, pay attention to them and mark them well for they are doing Satan's bidding.

Psalms 59:8 "But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them; Thou shalt have all the heathen in derision."

Aren't you happy you are under our Father's wings, for we are protected from them. When God moves against they, it will be to late for them, for God will move instantly at the seventh trump and for the next thousand years they will be either tending to things God's ways, or they will not be in existence after the Judgment seat of our heavenly Father. They will be marched right with Satan into hell and turned to ashes.

Psalms 59:9 "Because of his strength will I wait upon Thee: For God is my defense."

Pay special attention to this verse, for it is a promise to you that you can count on. If God is your defense, than what are you worried about? There is nothing that is going to happen in these final days of this earth age that should worry you, for God is in control, and everything that should happen, will happen, and according as it is written in God's Word. If God is your defense than you are protected and set aside for His use and purpose. God is not angry at His own. Friend, it isn't God that has the pitchfork and is out to get your soul, it is Satan the devil [the destroyer].

Psalms 59:10 "The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies."

God will see everything that is prophesied in His Word come to pass on our enemies. Nobody is going to get away with anything. There is a day of accountability coming for everybody.

Psalms 59:11 "Slay them not, lest my People forget: Scatter them by Thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield."

This "shield" is our faith. It is part of the gospel armor of in the end times. You better have your faith in Christ for that is our shield of faith. So what this verse is saying is, don't bring down all the adders or snakes at this time, lest the people forget. Don't worry, every last one of Satan's tribe of Kenites and fallen angels will be right here on earth running the religious order of Satan's system. When that political system receives it's mortal wound, the religious system will follow right behind. This is looking forward in the future sense.

Psalms 59:12 "For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips Let them even be taken in their pride: And for cursing and lying which they speak."

It is not good when people curse and lie in ignorance, but that is what will take place, and most of the Christian world will go whoring after Satan, cursing the true Christ and praising the evil one. When someone vows to serve the true God, and then turn to identify Satan as that true Christ. When they do that, they blaspheme and curse the true Christ in ignorance. Those that do this, will pay a dear price for their cursing and blaspheme. That is why we must stay with God's Word and study it in Truth as it ought to be studied. When Satan as a supernatural person arrives are you going to join in with his forces to win the world to the false Christ, or are you going to hold fast to the truth, to the seventh trumpet.

Psalms 59:13 "Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: And let them know that God ruleth in Jacob Unto the ends of the earth. Selah."

Even to the end of this earth age. Selah. This Selah goes back to the same thoughts connecting the wicked transgressors with their true character as dogs of the Gentiles; and marking off and connecting the two prayers. This is talking to our generation, and when Satan arrives, where will you be, and what will you be doing. So ask yourself, Am I a skilled worker in God's Word and well enough aware of this word to be able to assist Jesus in that day? When you are called up to witness for Him, are you willing to allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through you as recorded in Mark 13:11? Jesus wants you to think of this chapter very hard, and your position at the coming of the Antichrist.

Psalms 59:14 "And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, And go round about the city."

This is the second time that David is telling you the character of those that seek to do evil, and will chase after the Antichrist. All night long they work at bringing you down, like a dog sniffing out it's prey.

Psalms 59:15 "Let them wander up and down for meat, And grudge if they be not satisfied."

This word for "grudge" used here in the Hebrew text is "to pursue all night long", never give up. There is no way that this type of person could be satisfied no matter what they came up with. For their goal is to continually bring people down, if there is nothing there of evil, their will create it and lie about that person to force other to believe their lies. So why are the so diligent in their efforts? They do not have the true God, and their false God is the destroyer.

Psalms 59:16 "But I will sing of Thy power; Yea, I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning: For Thou hast been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble."

Let the dogs do their sniffing all night long, and in the morning I will still be sinning praises to my God. Remember this, that God has been and will always be my defense in the times of trouble. When Jacob's trouble comes and it is Satan's brightest hour, that refuge is still there. He is my strength and defense at all times. God loves His own and will be out protection when the whole world is turning to Satan. This tribulation spoken of here is not a war, with tanks and a battle field, but a religious struggle fought with words, lies and deception. It is that false peace that will come upon this earth, when the false messiah says that he has brought peace to the world. .

Psalms 59:17 "Unto Thee, O my strength, will I sing: For God is my defense, and the God of my mercy."

"To the chief Musician upon Shushan-eduth [Shushan-eduth means to shut up, or close out.]" It is a "testimony" relating to the second Passover provided for in Numbers 9:5-14.

You don't need anything else when God is your defense. He is the God of my mercy and the God of my love.
