Psalms 62:1 "Truly my soul waitheth upon God: From Him cometh my salvation."

David is saying, I want to open myself to you, and talk to you God. David knew that He could not rely on the men and things of this world to satisfy his soul. David's eternal security was from Almighty God, and he knew it for a fact.

Psalms 62:2 "He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved."

When I am on that Rock, Jesus Christ, there is nothing that can move me.

Psalms 62:3 "How long will ye imagine mischief against a man: Ye shall be slain all of you: As a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence."

This is talking about a brick fence that has much pressure within it, to where it bows under the stress. Then at a certain point in time when the pressure has reached it maximum, the wall explodes and bricks go flying in all direction. The enemy that will say, "How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? is directed at Satan. It is pointing to Satan and all those that he deceives. The pressure that Satan and his realm puts on a person is exactly like that bowing wall of bricks, and at some point in time a man will come down if he is not grounded in God's Word. No matter what people may think, evil will never win out in the end, for in time all mischief will be accounted for, before the throne of God.

Psalms 62:4 "They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: They delight in lies: They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah."

Satan and his realm would like to pull Jesus Christ down from His Royal rank. So stop for a moment and think about what was just said here ["Selah"]. This Selah connects David's trust in God with the enmity, or nothingness of his foes. Most of the lies and enmity that is told by the enemy is said because they are all wrapped up in the traditions of men and simply do not know the difference. If they had eyes to see and ears to hear the truths of God's Word, they would never take delight in their lies and cursings inwardly. They do what they do in ignorance. Why? That is the way mom and dad did it, and that is the way they were brought up. Their ignorance continues to the next generation, to where in this final generation they gladly will be deceived into the lies of Satan and his followers. The community of the traditions of men have set up and intimidated Christians until, they will accept those lies and delight on passing them on. What does our Heavenly Father think of their traditions, such as the fly-away tradition. Ezekiel 13:18-20 lets us know.

Ezekiel 13:18 "And say, `Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of My People, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?"

This is the Father talking to those [women] or part of the bride of Christ in the latter days, that have "sewed pillows" or created their traditions that go against God's Word. How many times have you heard someone say, "you don't need to study the Old Testament, or the Book of Revelation, you will not be here, for you will fly away." Does it sound familiar? Traditions and false doctrine are these pillows and kerchiefs made to cover over our Lord's loving out reached arms. Father doesn't want you deceived in that time of Satan's coming, and if you believe that you will not be here for Satan's time on earth, you will run right into Satan's outstretched arms, in ignorance. Do you see why it is so dangerous? It give a false sense of security. Father asks, "Will ye hunt the souls of My People...?"

Ezekiel 13:19 "And will ye pollute Me among My People for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to My People that hear your lies?"

We are not talking about the physical body here by your soul and the souls of those that would believe that doctrine of devils called the "rapture doctrine". To take it in and believe it is to take the mark of the beast. When you promote it, you are promoting Satan's work and giving service to him. To most preachers today, they give out the doctrine of their denominations and could not change even if they wanted to, for the sake of their job, their medical plan, or even their pension ["for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread"].

Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; `Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tare them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.' "

Do you think that you are doing God a favor lining up the souls of His people to go rushing into Satan's arms, for that is exactly what you are doing when you do not teach the whole Word of God to prepare His people to make their stand against the Antichrist Satan at his arrival at the sixth trumpet. Jesus comes at the seventh trump, and at that point in time all flesh is done away with, for we shall all be in our spiritual bodies as the angels have.

It is time to meditate on what you believe, and what you are promoting within your church house. Today most churches teach it as fact, when their traditions and doctrines are nothing but lies. Would you know the difference? Most of the lies are passed on in complete innocence, for they don't know that what they are saying is a lie. When you have eyes to see and ears to hear then you come out of confusion, and that is only done by studying the entire word of God.

Psalms 62:5 "My soul, wait thou only upon God; For my expectation is from Him."

Can you allow your soul, your mind to meditate only on God and His Word. Not some fake, but the true God. Is you expectations in these end times based on The Word of God or some traditional thought within your church doctrines that go against the Word of God? Every security that David expected is based on promises that were given in His Word. If you are waiting on anything else, you are wasting your time.

Psalms 62:6 "He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved."

Again as a second witness, God alone is my Rock and my salvation. He is my defense, and with that promise shall not be moved. Why go through life with all the worries and problems of life, when you can put your trust in Him, and know that He will guide and protect you when you are on His solid Rock, Jesus Christ. Take the time each day to dig a little deeper in His Word, so you will not be moved as the events of these end times unfold before us.

Psalms 62:7 "In God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God."

There is no other glory other than our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. That is the only way, and His Word is our only set of directions. That is where we find our refuge; it is in our Heavenly Father.

Psalms 62:8 "Trust in Him at all times; ye People, Pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us. Selah."

Don't be a part time Christian, be a full time Christian. When those times get troubled, that is the time to see refuge under God's wings. Here the Selah again tells us to stop and meditate on what has just been said. This Selah is connecting David's trust in god with the nothingness of man. It is only natural that we take refuge in our Heavenly Father, for that is the natural thing to do. We use our natural senses or common sense which is the natural order of things, to seek supernatural protection that comes from doing it God's way. So in this "Selah" it is reminding us that we have a mind, so use in by using common sense, and it compares it to the absolute nothingness of man's thinking without God.

Psalms 62:9 "Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: They are altogether lighter than vanity."

Men of low degree or position like to elevate themselves above what they are in life, and those me with their high degree like to kid themselves; thinking they control things that are completely under God's control. Remember God created everything and it is all His, but man likes to think that he can take it from God for himself. Sure you can put your name a the title of a piece of property, but it won't stay there long. God owns it, and it is His. That is why God said, "I don't want your offering, for I own it already." Though these men of high degree claim to be of high degree, it is a lie, because it is God's. God is saying that if you can measure out nothing, they are even lighter than that.

Psalms 62:10 "Trust not in oppression, And become not vain in robbery: If riches increase, set not your heart upon them."

Don't try to take out your oppression on somebody else when things don't go right. Don't stoop to robbery to gain your riches, but if God blesses you and causes you to become rich, don't stop trusting go because of your riches. That is the time to thank him for what you have. Continue to trust God, and those blessings will continue to flow. Your trust should be in God, and not the blessings that He has allowed you to have.

Psalms 62:11 "God hath spoken once; Twice have I heard this; That power belongeth unto God."

This is a figure of speech in the Hebrew, and it is just as true in any language: "Power belongethg unto God".

Psalms 62:12 "Also unto Thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: For Thou renderest to every man according to his work."

God is very fair, and if you want God's blessings, He blessings are given according to your works. Matthew 16:26, 27 "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" [26] "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works." [27]

Matthew 16:28 "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in His kingdom."

The New Testament is the fulfillment of the Old Testament, and the Old Testament is the prophecy of the things to come. Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 16, and He knew that there would be many in their flesh bodies that would not taste of death, but would see the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ at the seventh trumpet. We know that in the parable of the ten virgins, that five of them were not fit to entering Christ's kingdom at His coming, for they were taken early because they did not have enough oil or truth in their minds to keep them true until the coming of the Son of man in His kingdom of the Millennium age.
