"The Enemy in the Sanctuary."

The Title: "A Psalm of Asaph." Asaph was "He who gathers the congregation". Asaph in the Hebrew tongue is "Mizmor", and is a Psalm for meditation. It differs from a Psalm of "Shir", which is a song for singing, and Psalms 79 is the eighth of thirteen Psalms of Asaph. God's Word will gather a congregation. In the title of this Psalm, "The enemy in the Sanctuary", and God's wrath is raised when the enemy enters and takes control of God's Sanctuary.

When Jesus Christ walked the earth, it caused him much grief in seeing the enemy of God, the Kenites, in control in the Sanctuary or Temple. In Matthew 23:1-3; "Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to His disciples, saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not." Then in verses thirteen [13] through thirty [30] Jesus gives His "woes" or warnings to those Kenite scribes and Pharisees. Jesus identifies these Kenites in control as being the children of those that killed the prophets of the Old Testament. These "woes" are opposite of the Beatitudes, or verses; "Blessed are the..." of Matthew 5. We read in verses 30 and 33 exactly who these people are that sit in Moses' seat of the law, as Jesus identifies them.

Matthew 23:31-33 "Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?"

It was a serious thing then, and it is also serious now in this end generation when our people have drifted so far from the Word of God that they can't identify the enemy that is amongst them in their own churches. They can't separate the teaching and traditions of the enemy, for what is taught in the Word of God, and most even take part in those teachings. Don't blame God for His children going astray, for God's people like to go astray on their own. They like to pick up the heathen teachings and make it part of their own religion. It makes them feel real good, and our Heavenly Father is not happy with it. So we are going to see that having the enemy in the Sanctuary and teaching false doctrine angers Him greatly.

Psalms 79:1 "O God, the heathen are come into Thine inheritance; Thy holy temple have they defiled; They have laid Jerusalem on heaps."

This then is a continuation from the prior Psalm when God set in motion that which He is about to do, because of the enemy in and controlling the Sanctuary. Psalms 78:2 "I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark saying of Old:" This means that the divine history that is written will give much more knowledge then that which is known on the surface. We have through history seen that when the enemy entered into the Sanctuary in the past, it always ended in complete ruin. There are records where over and over heathen gods and doctrine were brought into the Sanctuary, only to have the Sanctuary brought to heaps; both by neglect, and by foreign armies.

Do we have to learn these lessons over and over again? Today the Kenite nation of Israel will not even allow God's Word to be taught to their citizens. It becomes treason to try to convert a soul citizen of Israel to Christianity. So why would churches in our free land allow themselves to come under, or be influenced by these people? We have allowed the heathen to come into God's inheritance, and defile the very things that are precious to Him, His Word. This act will bring a curse on our nation like it has never seen. It is important to learn from the past mistakes, and keep from doing them again.

Psalms 79:2 "The dead bodies of Thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, The flesh of Thy saints unto the beasts of the earth."

The "saints" are the men and women filled with God's loving kindness as they practice following God's Word. They are gracious and God's beloved children. God set His children aside for a purpose, but the enemy could care less what your goals are, nor the standards you have set for your life. The enemy will use your own words to bring you down, by adding to or twisting a word here and there for their purposes. We have many thousands of years of history to show over and over Satan's methods of operation, and his children, the Kenites are following that path even today. It is time to wake up to the real world that we live in, and arm yourself with the Word of God, and past history so that it doesn't happen to you.

Psalms 79:3 "Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; And there was none to bury them."

When the enemy entered Jerusalem, in times past, they completely destroyed God's city, God's Temple and God's people. It happened many times, by the Babylonians, by the Greeks, and later by the Romans, and it will happen whenever the enemies of God come into the Sanctuary and try to change it to their way. The enemy could care less about you when they take over your Sanctuary. You worship their way or not at all, for they are heathen not Christians.

Psalms 79:4 "We are become a reproach to our neighbours, A scorn and derision to them that are round about us."

When the enemy takes over in the Sanctuary, our word becomes worthless. Our neighbors learn not to trust us, for they know we will not keep our word. As a nation, they will look at us with scorn.

Psalms 79:5 How long, Lord? wilt Thou be angry for ever? Shall Thy jealousy burn like fire?"

Will this jealousy that God has for us for allowing the enemy into the Sanctuary, and then listening to his words; will it last forever?

Psalms 79:6 "Pour out Thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known Thee, And upon the kingdoms that have not called upon Thy name."

Father take your rage out on them and not on us, who love you. Father knows they are heathen and know not the truth, but His children are supposed to know the truth, yet they allow these heathen to plunder the precious things of God's Ways. You don't get mad at the neighbor's boy getting in trouble, you get angry when your child will not mind. Our Heavenly Father is no different.

Psalms 79:7 "For they have devoured Jacob, And laid waste his dwelling place."

Jacob, is the natural seed of Abraham, all the tribes, they have taken the riches and wealth of our nation and wasted them on the heathen nations.

Psalms 79:8 "O remember not against us former iniquities: Let Thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: For we are brought very low."

This is important to understand, for it requests that God not take out on our generation punishments to us for what our forefathers of other generations did. Let your tender mercies come down upon us. So what is this verse talking about? It is trying to open our eyes to the history of those things that happened before, and the causes that destroyed those people and their nation. Stop and look around you today, look at what is brought into our schools, and homes, and being allowed by our court system and even within our churches. Sodomy and abortion, the killing of the unborn soul is being elevated to a place of being normal, and the things of God are being removed from our lives, and God's people sit back and allow it to happen. Even in our modern day, we are going to be brought very low, so when it happens, see those events for what they are.

Psalms 79:9 "Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Thy name: And deliver us, and purge away our sins, for Thy name's sake."

David knew better than to ask for the people's sake, for they had done everything possible to allow the heathen religious forms, and their traditions to enter into God's Sanctuary. No, David asked for mercy for the people for the sake of His own name, YHVH.  Because for His name sake, God might listen to David's plea.

Psalms 79:10 "Wherefore should the heathen say, "Where is their God?" Let Him be known among the heathen in our sight By the revenging of the blood of Thy servants which is shed."

David is asking God, will you do this if nothing more than to allow those heathen nations to see the power of our God? By your revenging the blood of your servants that they have shed, respect for your name will be among them, or on their minds. They will be able to see that you are a real God, and they will not have to ask; "where is your God?"

Psalms 79:11 "Let the sighing of the prisoner come before Thee; According to the greatness of Thy power preserve Thou those that are appointed to die;"

Let the moans of the prisoner come before Thee, and by Thy greatness if Thine arm reserve your power. In other words, put the enemy under the gun. "Those that are appointed to die" in the Hebrew text, identifies them as "the sons of death", and death is another name for Satan. This is talking about the Kenites, the sons of Satan through Eve from the garden of Eden. In other commentaries it reads; "reserve the children of death". Again this is talking of the Kenites, that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 13:38, 39.

Matthew 13:38, 39 "The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels."

We are talking of good seed and bad seed of the wheat and tares in a parable here, and "seed" #4690 in the Strong's Greek dictionary; "Sperma, the male sperm, offspring, remnant." Both the Old and New Testament backs this up, in the Hebrew and the Greek. Jesus was not giving a parable here, but explaining the parable. He said the tares are the actual children of the devil, not spirits as many would have you believe, but Kenites. As recorded in Revelation 2:9, 3:9, "....them that say they are Jews, but are the synagogue of Satan." Both the church of Smyrna and Philadelphia knew them by their doctrine, and would not let them nor their doctrine enter into their Sanctuary. They are the only two churches that God was pleased with.

Psalms 79:12 "And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom Their reproach, wherewith they have reproached Thee, O Lord."

David is asking God for a seven fold retribution back on the heads of the Kenites for the wickedness that they have done to God's people. This reproach is for the many times they have laughed at Thee, O Lord.

Psalms 79:13 "So we Thy people and sheep of Thy pasture Will give Thee thanks for ever: We will shew forth Thy praise to all generations."

"To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim-Eduth."

Now David is trying to really humble himself before God, for the people's sake, knowing all the sins that they have done. Today, can you humble yourself as one of the sheep of our Lord Jesus Christ's fold, can you give thanks to God for all the blessings that He has given to you and your family. Even though in the next Chapter, this man will continue to cry out for help from God and ask Him, why He has forsaken us. Friend, God has not forsaken you, for you have forsaken Him and turned from His Way. As these Israelites cry out for help, remember that God didn't put them in that place, they put themselves in the place they are in, and caused all the trouble to come down on their own heads. When they pulled away from God and His instructions, they willingly chose their own path. God promised us that: "I shall never forsake thee nor leave thee", and He will not. It is a promise that you can count on.

So just because you read that some poor soul cries out, "O God why have thou forsaken me," it is a reflection on that person, not God. When that person wises up and gets back into God's way, then God will give him or her the protection. It may be biblically correct, but the truth is in the context of of the expression of that human being that has gone astray only. God's people have a tendency of waiting until they are on the verge of real trouble before they will cry out, O God, save us. God will never leave you, but He will wait until you ask for His help. We are the ones that leave Him, and put earthly things of the flesh before God, and turn our backs on Him. God gave us these examples in His Word, so that we will learn for each of their mistakes.

When we read of thinks like in this chapter, learn to analyze who is doing the talking, what they spoke and did to get themselves in that trouble. Then we are to learn by that persons mistakes.
