The Watch of the End Times

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:   Mark 13:35-37

I enjoy reviewing the signs and seals of our watch.  All (ALL) are told to 'watch'.  Why or how could we not be watching on the watch?  By becoming deceived/distracted enough to stop watching....   No matter what we witness (supernatually) or hear (convincing theories etc.) we are to keep watching for the true Christ's return.  While the whole world accepts the false one(s), we are to keep our hearts and minds on what He has foretold us, the order of events gives us the season, and the warnings.  It seems simple enough, however, the watcher needs to know what they are watching for being prepared for all possible senarios.

Mark 13:5-6
5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

We are to expect this to continue...many will step forward claiming to be the annointed one...Yeshua Messiah.  In fact, many in this is: 4183 'Pol-oos', abundant, common, long, plenteous, straightly, largely.  You can see that there is no end to the possible list of those claiming to be Christ.  I think we need to be sure we are not 'counting' the antichrists, rather remembering the warnings which say 'MANY' shall come in my name.

Mark 13:7
7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

When we 'hear' (191 from 'akouo' come to the ears, be reported, understand) of wars and rumors of wars we are not to be frightened.  I hope everyone knows when an update for this kind of news is posted here to the group that it is to point out  what is coming to pass as it is written in God's Word. In fact, in the words 'must needs' comes from the word 1163 'dei' (die) which means to 'behove, ought, should, must' and is from the primary verb: 'deo' which means, 'bind, be in bonds, knit, tie, wind.  We are seeing the truth of God's Word knitted together with everyday events coming to pass.

Mark 13:8
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Beginning with the words 'shall rise' in this we are given a clue as to something to watch for.  It translates to 1453 'egeiro' which means 'to waken', rouse, literally from sleep, from obscurity, ruins or nonexistence.  So we have a sleeping nation coming alive (rising).  This verse also tells us that this along with earthquakes (throughout or distribution with intensity) many places (btw, the translation for 'place' in this has several meanings, but the first is 'coast', I thought that was interesing).  But these are the 'beginnings' of sorrows ('odin' pain, grief), and we certainly see these things on the increase.

Mark 13:9
9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my
sake, for a testimony against them.

Beware, is what the words 'take heed' translate to from the word  991 'blepo'.  So what is that for us?  Let's look at the word 'beware'....what does it mean?  It means: 'to be on one's guard'  'to be weary of', 'to take care of' as in 'beware of dog' :) Now, the very next thing which is written is: 'for they shall deliver you up'.

Mark 13:10,11
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Now this has another interesting translation to ponder... 'they shall lead you'...this word 'lead' is 71  'ago' , a primary verb; properly, to lead, to bring, drive, (reflexively) go, (specially) pass (time).  We see that it is initiated by their lead at a specific time.  My own thoughts on this are that we are to 'beware of [dog]' until that time... I really see Christ warning us to be wiser than the serpent within these last two verses.  We know we are not to anxiously prepare anything beforehand, and we are not to 'revolve in the mind' (premeditate) the words we are to speak but will be given what we are to say (utter) as the Holy Spirit speaks through (bestows upon) us.

Mark 13:12
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

Betray in this is 3860  'paradidomi'  'give over', 'yield up', 'intrust', 'surrender', 'transmit', 'put in prison', 'RECOMMEND'.  Those nearest and dearest to us will betray us.  'Rise up' in this is not the same as in the 8th verse, it is 1881 'epanistamai', here it means: 'to stand up on, as in attack', or 'rise up against'.  We are to understand that they will be used to deliver us up.  This is difficult to want to believe.  I think we need to know that this is talking to every one of us...and 'not the other guy'.  This will be an attempt to sway us into following the false one, 'bowing' to him will be the temptation to please those delivering us up whom we love...our own children, and our own parents.  We talk boldly now of how we will not bow, but this is a reminder to look this one square in the face before you are brought to the synagogue.  This is indeed speaking to us as a real warning, and gives us the opportunity to prepare for deep and almost unbearable rejection.

Mark 13:13
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

ENDURE:
5278  hupomeno (hoop-om-en'-o);
from 5259 and 3306; to stay under (behind), i.e. remain; figuratively, to undergo, i.e. bear (trials), have fortitude, persevere: KJV-- abide, endure, (take) patient (-ly), suffer, tarry behind.   We will be detested for our lack of participation.  For anyone looking into the finer details of these warnings, here is a prime example of how the one 'taken' (raptured) in the field is the one who is not enduring unto the end (keeping their spiritual virginity).  We see the translation of this word 'endure' to mean: 'to remain', 'tarry behind'.  The true and faithful remain working in the field, and do not fly away with the first messiah that appears.

Mark 13:14
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

We know slew foot is the desolator.  His names, Abaddon and Apollyon both mean 'destroyer'.  Let him that readeth understand!

Dan 8:13
13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Rev 9:11
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

3  Abaddon (ab-ad-dohn'); of Hebrew origin [11]; a destroying angel: KJV-- Abaddon.   623  Apolluon (ap-ol-loo'-ohn); active participle of 622; a destroyer (i.e. Satan): KJV-- Apollyon.

Rev 9:15
15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

When the abomination of desolation occurs, it will be a very short time to go...no preparation for anything will be necessary.

Rev 9:16-18
16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

We are to remain waiting and watching for the true Christ, and to keep our eyes on the events as he has foretold us.  To be 'harvested in winter' means out of season.  We know about the 'untimely figs' (green and unripe bitter fruit) are those fallen angels and slew foot coming to harvest the world out of season.

Rev 6:13
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Mark 13:19
19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

We will endure a tribulation greater than anything man has ever encountered since the beginning of this Earth Age.

Mark 13:20
20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days
.

This is how much he loves us.  He only gives us what we can bear.

Mark 13:21
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

Remember, MANY false Christs will come.

Mark 13:22
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Added to this we have 'false prophets'...(religious imposters) leading people astray with their false miracles.

Mark 13:23-30
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

1948 was the year Israel became established as a nation (the planting of the Fig Tree), so we know that this generation is in the latter days of the 'watch' because those born in 1948 are now 51 years old.

There are three types for the length of a generation...

Genesis 5  120 years

Psalms 90:10 Three score and ten (70)

Exodus Israel wandered for 40 years prior to the promised land.

watch everyday !

I hope this study helped you understand the watch, and how it applies to you.
