Chapter 10

"Deliverance Accomplished"

Zechariah 10:1 "Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field."

This takes a little action on your part. "Ask ye"; to get for yourself of that rain, you have to ask. Most Christians want the latter rain, and the green grass of the field, without asking. Ask the Lord.

The "latter day rain" is the wisdom we must have to see and hear what our heavenly Father's Word has to say to us. To be able to read the Word with understanding; then as those events and happenings comes to pass before our eyes, to know it is prophecy that was foretold. That "latter rain" is the developing rains that keep the fruit alive, and ripens it for harvest. It is this rain that allows the Christian to mature in the Word, and apply deep study to our spiritual life. When you sit down to study His Word, do you ask for understanding, and wisdom to apply your reading to your life? God is telling you to ask Him for wisdom and understanding in your studies.

Zechariah 10:2 "For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd."

These idols are your little house gods. Those idols hanging in your car, or on the wall at your home. There is other idols, such as that slush fund set aside for hard times. It becomes an idol because you lean on it more than our Heavenly Father.

Many people even rely on a daily horoscope, or the use of other forms of diviners to base their actions for the day. God says it is all done in vain. In the latter days these diviners are even preachers; the false shepherds, and their advice will get you in trouble with our Lord. Now is the time to grow-up spiritually. When you sit under a false shepherd and you can see him for what he is , it is time to get out. In turn, when you are under a true man of God, support and love him. He will and does need your prayers continually. A good shepherd preaches God's Word, verse by verse, and chapter by chapter.

Zechariah 10:3 "Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle."

God is angry with the false shepherds [the false preachers], and when He visits or comes again to set up His kingdom. Jesus Christ will make His flock of sheep into a war horse. They will be ready to do spiritual battle with the enemies of God.

Zechariah 10:4 "Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together."

This verse is a prophecy looking ahead from Zechariah's time, but it occurred almost two thousand years ago. This "corner stone" is Jesus Christ, and the "nail" and the "bow" came together through the conception of the Virgin Mary and the birth of Jesus Christ.

The "nail" is the nail of the temple, the priesthood of the tribe of Levi, and the "battle bow" is of the tribe of Judah's right to rule. The New Testament starts out with the priestly lineage of Jesus Christ. Matthew 1:1-17 follows the bloodline of Jesus through Mary. It shows Jesus Christ's right to take the position of High Priest.

In Luke 3:23-38 we are given Joseph's in-laws bloodline through David, and we can see how Jesus also has the right of the scepter, which is the right to rule. Though Joseph is the step father, the right or the scepter continues there at when He returns to claim that right.

Zechariah 10:5 "And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded."

When God is on our side, we don't lose. "They", are all of God's people [elect], and in this coming spiritual battle with Satan, God will make you a spiritual fighter. You will fight that spiritual battle and you will win. Why? Because God is on our side. We have the victory through Jesus Christ.

There is one major problem to many Christians today. That problem exists because the "chief corner stone" is also the "stumbling block" to them. How can that be? Because they will worship the wrong stone; they will worship the false rock, who is the Antichrist, for he will come before Jesus comes at the seventh trumpet. Their "rapture theory" will bend their knees to the wrong "cornerstone".

Zechariah 10:6 "And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them."

God will take these two houses [nations]; the "House of Judah [Jews], and the "House of Joseph", [the Christian nations], and answer their cries. Upon the true Christ's return, God will not destroy them, as He will do with Esau [Russia], but restore them, and make them His people. He will take them from wherever they may be, and restore them to their own lands as one nation.

This applies also to us now. This is a promise that you can count on when you are one of Christ's If we ask our heavenly Father for His help in Jesus name, He will hear our prayers, and have mercy upon us. Have you asked God for help in your needs, and thanked Him after those needs were taken care of?

Zechariah 10:7 "And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord."

This is the "House of Israel", because Ephraim carried Israel's name [Genesis 48:14-20]. Ephraim is the strongest of the two houses, and the ten tribes that made up the "house of Israel" comprises all of the Christian nations today. Zechariah is calling attention that the hearts of these Christians will be warmed by the Holy Spirit, and we will rejoice in Him. This verse does not address the Jew, [house of Judah], for they have not yet returned to the Lord.

Zechariah 10:8 "I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased."

This translation using "hiss" is a figure of speech, from the sounds of bee-keepers. It means "to signal". It is God that will call His own to Him like the queen bee of a hive, and when you are on of God's and have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, God has drawn you to Him when you are able to understood his call. When you understand that call, you repented of your sins. To most people today, this whole idea of salvation is all foolishness.

Just prior to Jesus Christ's return, the "House of Judah" which are those of the tribe of Judah and Benjamin, only without the "Kenites", will have their eyes opened, and God will gather them to Him. Ezekiel 37 deals with how these two Houses will be joined back into one. There will also be many of every nation that will be drawn also to God.

Zechariah 10:9 "And I will sow them among the people; and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again."

This sowing of the seed of understanding to the "House of Israel", was written about in Hosea 1:10; 2:23. Zechariah is reminding the House of Israel" the [Christian nations], of the lessons of Hosea.

Hosea 1:10 "Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, `Ye are not My People,' there it shall be said unto them, `Ye are the sons of the living God.' "

This is talking about the ten tribes that were scattered and lost their identity to the point that the only name they went by from their origins, is the name "Caucasian". The name they received from their migrations. God is telling us through the prophet Hosea that in the place where they migrated to, they will not think of themselves as God's people, as Israelites, yet they will call and identify themselves as "the sons of the living God". Jesus Christ came out of that tomb alive on the third day, and He is the Living God. All those nation that are of the House of Israel, children of Israel call themselves and their nation "Christian".

Hosea 2:23 "And I will sow her unto Me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not My People, `Thou art My People;' and they shall say, `Thou art my God.' "

That lesson was that God would scatter them, and they would lose their identity as part of Israel, yet in the latter days they would be know as the sons of the living God, "Christians". God did have mercy upon His people and through the blood of Jesus Christ, He gave that mercy to us. That seed has been sown, and Jesus Christ's death on the cross has allowed the "House of Israel" to be drawn back to Him, and know His Word and love. We have that mercy from God through the redemption from sin.

Zechariah 10:10 "I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them."

Abraham was obedient to God, and this pleased God. Because of Abraham's obedience, God made a promise of covenant to Him. Part of that promise or covenant was that God would make Abraham the Father of all nations. Through Israel, [the twelve tribes], many nations exist. However, it is through Jesus Christ, of the seed of Abraham, that all people of every nation can receive and have eternal life, and the hope through our Heavenly Father.

Zechariah 10:11 "And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart away."

"He" is Israel and Judah, both houses. the time we are speaking of here, is in those final months of this earth age. There is a slight miss translation pointed out in the Massorah, that is of great importance.

"Pass through the sea with affliction", should read, "of affliction". "The sea" is the one world nation system that the Antichrist [Satan] will rule, and God will protect His own through that time. The "affliction" are the deception, flood of lies and wonders that all the world will believe, and follow after. Though God's children are in the world at this time, and will live through it, they will be strong.

God will control those waves of deceit as they flow over the sea of humanity under Satan's rule, but at the appointed time, it will come to an end.

Why has "the sceptre", or rule departed from Egypt? Because Satan's one world kingdom has complete and total control over all nations on the face of the earth. This is a sign that the Antichrist is here, or on his way to earth. "Assyria" was the nation that overthrew the House of Israel. In the Bible prophecy for the latter days, it represents the world wide power that controls and oppresses the Christian nations.

Zechariah 10:12 "And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord."

At Jesus Christ's return, and just prior to the sounding of the seventh trumpet; God's elect will walk and talk boldly, for they are walking by His Word, and speaking in the authority of His name. The "elect" are God's mouth piece on this earth, for the Holy Spirit of God to speak through. If you know the word of God, and are called to be used of the Holy Spirit, as spoken of in Acts 2, and refuse to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through; that is the UNPARDONABLE SIN. THERE IS NO REPENTANCE FOR THAT SIN, NOR PARDON FOR YOU.

Mark 13:11 "But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do you ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost [Spirit]."

The "elect of God" know the Lord, and we will know Satan as the fake Christ he is. The "elect of God" will know there is nothing to fear by the Antichrist or his entire system. We will be anxious to be used in any way our Lord has need of us. Many will not believe these words of the Lord that are coming from mortal man: But there will be a time when they will hear, and see the truth. Then at judgment, it will be their works that save or condemn themselves. We are approaching the final hours for God's grace to reach out to you, or your loved ones.

Once the Antichrist is here, it is God that will give the entire world over to Satan, the Antichrist, to be deceived [Revelation 9:1-5]. He will then shut your eyes and minds to the truth, and it will be to late. Remember, the book of Zechariah was written to address the final seven years of this earth age. The four horns of power are in place, and ruling. The one world system is so far advanced that when most people around the world talk about the United Nations, they call the UN forces "us".

Our presidents and leaders have submitted our wealth, our laws, and the military might of our nation to this godless world entity. The laws of the world government even over-ride our Constitutional laws. It is in this manner that our churches, people and government will yield to the Antichrist and his system. Because of the education from their youth, practices on a daily basis that have become their traditional attitudes, as well as twisted teachings within their own churches, our people will submit to the Antichrist. They will submit themselves with joy and gladness for they will think in their minds that Satan is the True Christ. All will submit to Antichrist, except a very few chosen "elect of God".
