70 Years of
Zechariah and Jeremiah

Zechariah
The book of Zechariah covers the
whole period of 7 years. It was written around 420 B.C.
Zechariah means Remembered of Yah.
it sets the stage for what this book is about, that God remembers His
children, and that it's time for action. He's going to do something
about it.
You can get all of God's Wword basically
from this one book. You could almost title it coming out of
Babylon, coming out of confusion. And indeed this book will
bring you out of confusion, if you absorb it.
Zechariah 1:1 In the eighth month (this would
be are November) in the second year of Darius, came the word of the
LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the
prophet saying,
Zechariah 1:2 “The LORD hath been sore displeased
with your fathers.
Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say thou unto them,
‘Thus saith the LORD of hosts; ‘Turn ye unto Me, saith the LORD of
hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
Zechariah 1:4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom
the former prophets have cried, saying, ‘Thus saith the LORD of
hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings; but
they did not hear, nor hearken unto Me, saith the LORD.
Zechariah 1:5 Your fathers, where are they? and the
prophets, do they live for ever?
Zechariah 1:6 But My words and My statutes, which I
commanded My servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your
fathers? and they returned and said, ‘Like as the LORD of hosts
thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our
doings, so doings, so hath He dealt with us.’
Zechariah 1:7 Upon the four and twentieth day of the
eleventh month, (February) which is the month Sebat, in the second
year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of
Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet saying,
Zechariah 1:8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding
upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the
bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled and white.
These are not the four horse men of
Revelation, these are scouts, and these scouts are checking the very
condition of our people. God sends these scouts to see as they go to
and fro upon the earth to see if it's ready, to see what's happening,
and to check what's going on. Now we will see these turn into
chariots before this book is over, and that makes them men of war. But
now they are scouts.
Zechariah 1:9 Then said I, “ O my lord, what
are these ?” And the angel that talked with me said unto me, “I
will shew thee what these be”.
Zechariah 1:10 And the man that stood among the
myrtle trees answered and said, “These are they whom the LORD hath
sent to walk to and fro through the earth,”
Zechariah 1:11 And they answered the angel of
the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have
walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth
sitteth still, and is at rest.”
They are not doing anything, they think
are crying peace, peace, but they are not doing anything in relation
ship to God's plan.
Zechariah 1:12 Then the angel of the LORD answered
and said, “O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on
Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which Thou hast
had indignation these threescore and ten years?
That's 70 years, the 70 years determined
against our people, (Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined
upon thy people and upon thy holy city) and Daniel 9:2. And this
again will fix for you the time of where these scouts are among the
myrtle trees. That's time for the return. You understand what I mean,
when the 70 years are over it's time for the return. Return of what?
Well kind of Zechariah, remembered of Yah.
Zechariah 1:16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; I
am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: My house shall be
built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched
forth upon Jerusalem.
What is His house at His return?
It's the many membered body - that`s the true house of God.
Where is it? Everywhere where God's people are, that absorbed
the truth, and know His Word. We just heard a promise, I AM
coming back.
Now let's go to Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 25:12 And it shall come to pass, when
seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the King of
Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the
land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
Jeremiah 29:10 For thus saith the LORD, ‘That
after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and
perform My good word toward you, in causing you to return to this
place.
Isaiah 23:17 And it shall come to pass after the end
of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to
her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the
world upon the face of the earth.
The generation of the fig tree started in
1948 when Israel became a state again, 1948 + 70 = 2018. Watch

Jeremiah 29:10
For thus saith the Lord, That
after seventy years be accomplished [Not two years that old
Hananiah said] at Babylon I will visit you,
[That's a promise] and perform my good word toward you, in
causing you to return to this place.
Pastor Arnold Murray's comments:
[And it's going to happen. At that generation, you can count on it.
And again, many might say, well why did our Heavenly Father have them
going to captivity? To set the stage for exactly how it's going to be
in the end. This is why you want to make a strong note of 1
Corinthians chapter 10 verse 11. That's real easy to remember. It's
10:11, 1 Corinthians 10:11.]

11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and
they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world
are come.
Pastor Arnold Murray's comments:
[These things happened as an example whereby you would know what would befall us at the end of the world. That's how important it is. That's the way God teaches. He says, look, children. Look what happened here. This is what is gonna happen at the end. All you have to do is trace the little footsteps and watch and observe, because that's exactly how it's gonna be again. There's nothing new under the sun, as it's written in the great first chapter of the great Book of Ecclesiastes.]
