Let's start with the battle of Hamon-gog.
We find the battle of Hamon-gog in EZEKIEL 38 and 39
The battle of Hamon-gog
Ezekiel 38:2-3
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, THE LAND OF MAGOG, (of the land of the Magog. If “Gog denotes and symbolizes all that is powerful, gigantic and proud, then “Magog” is symbolical of the same lands and peoples.”) the chief prince (The head, or leader of Rosh, Russia) of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, (Meshech and Tubal, All these are nations distant from Palestine; not near nations.)
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; “Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:”
Ezekiel 38:14-16
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place OUT OF THE NORTH PARTS, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
Ezekiel 39:4-6
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall UPON THE OPEN FIELD: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God. (Pastor Arnold Murray teaches that FIELD is a valley in Alaska)
6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I AM THE LORD.
Ezekiel 39:11 - And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of HAMON-GOG.
So we see that the battle of EZEKIEL 39 is pre-millennial.
The battle of Armageddon
Revelation 16:14 - For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great DAY of God Almighty.
Revelation 16:16-19
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. (Armageddon = Mount of Megiddo, “gathering place of the crowd”)
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “IT IS DONE”.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was A GREAT EARTHQUAKE such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the NATIONS fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her THE CUP OF THE WINE OF THE FIERCENESS OF HIS WRATH.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a GREAT HAIL OUT OF HEAVEN, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the HAIL; for the PLAGUE thereof was exceeding great.
Isaiah 51:17 - Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast DRUNK at the hand of the LORD the CUP of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the CUP of trembling, and wrung them out.
Isaiah 51:19 - These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
Isaiah 51:20 - Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
The battle of Gog and Magog
Revelation 20:2-3
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Revelation 20:6-8
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, (Gog = East, Magog = West) to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and THE BELOVED CITY; and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
So we see that this battle of Gog and Magog is after the thousand years are over.

WHEN: The battle of EZEKIEL 39 is pre-millennial, at the 7th Trump.
WHO: Ezekiel 39:11 "I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel" We don`t fight, God does the fighting for us and it is over in minutes.
The battle of Armageddon
WHERE: On the mount of Megiddo, the gathering place of the crowd, JERUSALEM.
WHEN: At the 7th trump (Vials are poured out in the 7th trump, Cups of wrath poured out) Rev16:17 “it is done”
WHO: Rev 16:14 "to gather them to the battle of that great DAY of God Almighty". It's God's battle, He does the fighting for us and it is over in minutes.
The battle of Gog and Magog (the battle of REVELATION 20)
WHERE: Takes place at the beloved City - Rev 20:9 “and the beloved city”
WHEN: After the Millennium - Rev 20:7 “when the thousand years are expired”
WHO: Rev 20: 9 "and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them" fire down from Heaven from God. God Has the victory.
